I wanted a charming, exceptional hotel and this was it. I fell in love with the location as I passed by it during a canal boat tour. It is a world unto its own, with a temple and chapels and statues nearby, tiny winding narrow streets, people who say hello, then a busy main street with food stalls and shops and at least two good restaurants. Yakie made my stay even more pleasant. She was friendly, kind and helpful and her breakfasts a dream! ot only were they varied and delicious, but they were also pleasing to the eye. Everything about this place appealed to all my senses. The care brought to each detail, from the electric cables to the polished wooden floors, touched me deeply. I would have liked to stay here for a long time, just sitting by the river, admiring the furniture, sleeping in that beautiful room and enjoying the authentic neighborhood.

It wasn't easy to store my belongings (I had the smallest room).

What may look like a small property, holds much space for a comfortable getaway. There really isn’t anything negative to say about this place. The rooms can house up to three parties - great for families with young kids. The rooms are designed in a way that integrates Thai traditional interior design with hints of modernity. The staffs are super friendly and thoughtful of their customers. Always a lovely chat with them. There are two cats who are always happy to provide room service; absolute joy for cat lovers. Breakfast is served with great flavours and variety (changes by the day), introducing Thai cuisine with nice portions. You’re right on the small canal that links to the Chao Phraya river, there are boats driving pass however the noise is bearable - the comfy beds will knock you out so you won’t hear a thing. The overall atmosphere of the place is serene and it’s a marvel to have found such a place and how the owner was able to make the place feel like home. Can’t say it enough, beautiful place to stay.

I’d say the only thing is parking if you’re coming with the car, however if you reach out about it beforehand the staff will let you know where you can park, followed with a short list of directions to get to the hotel (really short walking distance).

This is a true retreat from the amazing madness we all love in Bangkok. You will have a truly Thai breakfast and experience cozy and extra clean rooms. The coffee area is beautiful, and little lizards come to greet you by the water. Not to mention the cute kittens around completing the atmosphere of a true home. Yakie, the owner and manager, is kind, chill, and has all the good hints for you. She's a gem just like her boutique hotel. I will always come back ❤️

I have nothing to complain about the hotel.

📍Location: I think it is actually very refreshing to be away from the chaos of Bangkok city life, particularly at night time- I slept so well! Fan and air conditioning definitely helped! Close proximity to metro and could use grab app for everything not in reach of metro. 🛌 Bed: my room was lovely- it’s definitely suited to a solo traveller as there is nothing but a curtain between bed and toilet !! The balcony was nice for sitting, maybe a small chair or cushion would be a good addition? 🍽️ Breakfast: delicious and delivered with care and precision, lovely to enjoy delicious Thai flavours with the accompanying canal bank view. 🌟 Staff: Yakie and the other staff were very pleasant and welcoming, it was a really enjoyable stay. She gave great recommendations on transport and timings for my itinerary. 🐱 Cats!! These cats are the sweetest! I hope they know how loved and appreciated they are 😍

Alleyway to enter is a little tricky when arriving for first time! I tried to explain to taxi driver the instructions Yakie provided but there was a language barrier and he was going to just drive me away until a local kindly helped !! This is not a criticism of the property itself or the staff, moreso the logistics of getting to it for the first time as a foreign traveller!

The property is a beautifully maintained little architectural gem in an interesting and authentic alley with local people. Being right beside the river is really cool. It was very quiet and peaceful. The morning breakfasts were amazing - a wide variety of Thai food flavours.

We like a soft bed and this one was quite firm, but that’s to be expected travelling. We used the skytrain/transit system (which was very easy to navigate) and there is a stop a short walk away. If you want to be in the heart of a tourist area, this may not be the place you’re looking for, but this was not a drawback for us as we loved seeing a more realistic glimpse into Thai daily life.

We stayed in the Charcoal room, and the pictures do not do it justice! Maybe the most beautiful and thoughtfully decorated hotel room I've ever stayed in. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. They will offer to help you with your stay in Bangkok with suggestions for tours, booking cars, massages etc. They were more like hosts than staff! The breakfast was really yummy and homemade. Trust me when I tell you the toast is the best piece of toast you will have in your life. One day we spent the day hanging out at the hotel and ordered lunch, and you could tell they made everything from scratch. The cats are so cute and social and have a great life there.

Everything was amazing! We arrived in Bangkok overwhelmed and exhausted after a long travel day, and Siamotif was exactly what we needed to decompress tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the chaotic city. Every aspect of the hotel blew us away. The layout was unexpected but appreciated - most of the hotel is open-air aside from the guest rooms themselves which have AC. It's almost set up as a house, with the 5 rooms scattered throughout the property. We booked the motif room, and while I can't speak to the other rooms, our room was the utmost cozy with amazing attention to detail. It's rare to find accommodations with so much heart, soul, and character poured into the design. We arrived around 7pm feeling too tired to leave in search of food, so we ordered dinner from the hotel on a whim. My partner and I agreed it was our favorite meal of the entire 2-week trip in Thailand - they make everything from scratch in the open-facing hotel kitchen. Yakie was extremely accommodating of my shellfish allergy as well, which was appreciated as Thailand is full of dishes cooked with oyster sauce and shrimp paste. The breakfast is complimentary and was nothing short of incredible as the other reviews have stated. Overall, the kindness, hospitality, and comfort we experienced here (thanks to Yakie and Cream) were unmatched - I wish we could've stayed here more than one night. Would recommend this wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Bangkok!

Nothing :)

We had a wonderful stay at Siamotif. Initially we were hesitant about the location being a bit further out, but the peacefulness of the property is definitely worth it. Our room (Charcoal) was massive and luxurious, and we enjoyed the waterfront views of the longtail boats going past. Breakfast was an absolute highlight - each morning we were greeted with a different Thai dish that was delicious and beautifully prepared. Yaki was friendly, and gave us lots of helpful recommendations. We found it easy to get around via Grab and the MRT subway (Bang Khun Non station is less than 10 minutes walk away).

The most beautiful, off the beaten track guest house to stay in. Very well designed, lovely interior and authentic. Breakfast was amazing. Hosts were very kind and helpful! The area was completely local and no other tourists really apart from ourselves and others staying here - quite an experience.

The location was less central, but once we worked our way around it became easier. The air conditioning unit wasn't that cold and our room was very hot - it would have been helpful to leave the A/C on whilst we were out for the day. Bed quite hard so wasn't that comfy. No natural lighting on the lower part of the room.

Gorgeous authentic cozy hotel on the river with an inside small hidden garden. Multilevel building gives the place a dynamic feel to the environment. You have to walk down a hidden alleyway to get there and then you arrive at a sweet oasis. Everything was perfect. They will even make a special dinner for you in your order in advance. A gem of a place to stay and especially in a big city like Bangkok you feel like you are at a retreat. Take off your shoes at the front gate when you arrive:-)
