When I fell ill, a kind lady from the reception braved the early morning rain to fetch medicine, ensuring my comfort. A flat tire? No problem! The owner's brother personally drove us to a repair shop, shielding us from potential scams with brotherly protectiveness. One evening, the family matriarch and patriarch graced our table, regaling us with tales of their journey in creating this haven. Peaceful and relaxing hotel surrounded by paddy fields, literally in the middle of nowhere! A huge comfortable bed, good air con and a huge bathroom, with such a deep bath and separate shower room! The water in the shower seemed a bit temperamental,very hot, then ok then very hot!, Breakfast was ok, limited choices, fresh fruit, cooked omelet,toast ,bread etc Had a body massage, which was excellent in the spa building.

Our room was slightly disappointing, we were at the end of the row opposite the back of the kitchen and it was fairly noisy first thing , as they were preparing for breakfast . The pool area was good . All be it a relaxing area,with comfortable loungers, surrounded by greenery, I did question the cleanliness of the pool. It was extremely slimy on the bottom of the pool! I couldn’t see a filter etc , only being filled from a hosepipe from somewhere !

The lodge is very quiet and peaceful, in the middle of the ricefields, with a beautiful garden and a nice swimming pool. The place is ideal to escape the crowds after sightseeing. The staff is so lovely and helpful. D. gave us useful advice about the main attractions around Ninh Binh. You can use their bikes to explore the region. The food is great, especially their vegetable spring rolls, they are delicious! The rooms are comfortable, pretty and very clean. We loved it here, they even offered special breakfast options because we were staying for 3 nights :) We would highly recommend this place !! Thank you for making our stay so delightful!

We had an amazing time staying here. It felt like a little oasis tucked away on a rice field. The design, amenities and staff created a comfortable and serene atmosphere. It was so lovely to wake up on a beautiful and peaceful property, we sipped coffee and watched the water buffalo walk by every morning. The staff were amazing! They were so friendly and went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The breakfast spread was delicious and they had a great selections of food and drinks for purchase. Rooms were beautifully designed, clean and cozy. They had nice new scooters and bikes for rent, we used these every day to zip into town. They also have spa services available with the option to purchase some time in the sauna. Couldn't recommend chez cao enough! Compared to other options in town it's a no brainer to stay with them.

One of the best villa to stay in Ninh Binh, little bit out of the tourist area, which we liked a lot. The property is itself inside the rice fields and if we travel during before the harvest the it would have been excellent, the staffs were so good and they helped us out in all the way possible. Would recommend to all.

We liked the stay a lot, no regret, if we have an option to visit again to Ninh Binh, we would definitely in this property again. No second thoughts.

Everything looks exactly like the photos. Beautiful and spacious room. Service was excellent. Pool is well maintained and I love the attention to details. Very quiet for a good night sleep. Free bicycles.

The road to the property isn’t very nice as surrounded by dusty construction and highways. I would have preferred to be near the limestones than in the middle of the rice paddies in retrospect. Food was slightly pricey but tasty.

The receptionist who greeted us when we checked in was so helpful throughout our stay. He gave us recommendations around the area and was very accommodating (he was really cute too! 🤭). The location was really good. Close enough to the city and main viewpoints but far from the busy parts. It was a good break from the busy city life. The beds were really comfy, honestly one of the best beds we’ve slept at.

The bathroom didn’t have a place where we could place our toiletries but other than that we didn’t have much complains. There was a small issue with the ac but they fixed it straight away.

Location was in the middle of the ricefield. It was so peaceful. Breakfast had a lot of variety of food. Wasnt able to use the pool since the weather was cool but it looked very inviting. Staff was the highlight. They were very accommodating and showed us the spots to visit. We were able to rent moped from them which you will probably need since the hotel is 5-10 minutes away from the town. They also have laundry and spa services with an extra fee.

The water in the toilet wouldn’t fill up immediately so it takes time to flush. Sometimes I have to turn on the shower/sink which helps filling it up. Didn’t bother me but good to know in the future.

Any accomodation that greets us with a welcome drink is usually a sign of a good stay. Dat was very helpful, provided good tips about where to go and even got rid of a large spider hiding in my backpack! The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. It changed slightly each day and certainly filled us up. We had one evening meal here (I got the pepper beef which was fantastic, but my partner's noodle soup was lackluster). You can borrow bikes though which is the best way to get around and see the amazing sights - they are all in decent condition compared to other places we've stayed.

The pool didn't feel clean because the floor was slimy and there were lots of bits and bugs floating in the water. I think it needs treating for algae build up and it put me off spending time in the pool which was disappointing. They are also expanding so there was lots of building work meaning it was hard to relax by the pool. The place itself was stunning, however, as a consequence it wasn't walkable to get into town (certainly not in the evening due to the lack of lighting on the roads).
