The building is a blend of old and new, and the public areas are furnished with a blend of modern and antiques, some of which have been painted in bright colours to give a modern, fun twist. Our room was very spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of packing space for clothes. There was a desk. We loved the Highlander pub, where they serve excellent , reasonably priced food. The weather was chilly and they had fires in the fireplaces. We watched the Springbok game on the Saturday and there was a good atmosphere. Pub supported by locals and tourists. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with a very good variety. A la cart was served instead of buffet style when we were there. The hotel provides ample off street safe parking.

Our shower was dirty. Lots of mildew in the corners.

The hotel had clean comfortable rooms and a nice bar that served excellent pub food.

Receptionist was short and rather rude on our early arrival, we avoided going to reception for the rest of the stay. Booking.com stated for and extra charge we could have a room with a balcony, we thought that this would be nice and booked a this room. Well it was a bit of a con really as they failed to state that we would be sharing the balcony with the neighboring room and with the door open you could see each other in bed, in addition your view from the balcony is of the carpark.

Very good Breakfast and staff were friendly and helpful. only complaint was the waitron leaned across me while I was eating to clear plates.

It is also annoying to be charged for a cuppacino when coffee or tea is free. An extra charge of R35 per cuppacino seems excessive and difficult to justify. In the room The toilet and shower re in the same space facing each other with only a curtain between them which means the area around the toilet becomes wet. There is nowhere to put clothes in the bathroom other than omn the floor. The lighting above the mirror in the bathroom casts a shadow on your face making it difficult to shave or do make up. There are to few two pin charging points for mobile phones and computers

I like the reception that I got when I arrived there. They were very kind with smiles on their faces. They were so caring starting from the securities outside, waitresses and the cleaners.. Our room was a show stopper❤️ it was so clean and beautiful. The food was excellent. I was so happy to be part of you and I think Ill be back again everything was excellent. Pictures on the web site are the true reflection of this incredible place.

Nothing except the play room. I think it's only for 1-5 year old. You should also cater for other age

This is one of the best properties I stayed in this year. The value you get is really what you pay for and more. We had a lovely spacious room with a super comfortable bed and all the amenities one would expect. The staff are super helpful and the breakfast is top tier. We loved the dining options on site too - Thistle Restaurant and Highlander serve great food. We also indulged a bit at the spa which we loved.

Wow their facilities,the whole infrastructure is good and clean modernized have beautiful gardens and superb outdoor facilities. Our room was big and spacious the furniture was of great value,bathroom and linen were clean. Excellent services especially room service they always respond quickly whenever we called. Delicious breakfast ,wide range of delicious food served and good restaurants. Transport services when you are lazy to drive they organized uber for me to go to church on Saturday. So quiet and I like their rules given to all visitors time frame for partying,it gives everybody time to relax and enjoy the stay.l would book the hotel over and over again nice place to stay, close to amenities such as the beach,Red Hill Mall,town they have top of the range spa woow .

We liked everything about the hotel it was our first time to stay there but yhoooo we wanted to extend our stay..

BREAKFAST WAS VERY NICE EXCEPT THAT THE HOT MEAL... BACON EGGS ETC WAS COLD AS THEY LEFT THE WARMERS OPEN SO BY THE TIME YOU GOT YOUR BREAKFAST THE FOOD WAS COLD sUPPER WAS GOOD AT THE HIGHLANDER AND STAFF VERY HELPFULL

THERE WERE NO DIRECTION SIGNS TO THE HOTEWL, SO WE DROVE AROUND LOOKING FOR THE ROAD TO GET THERE UNTILL WE THANKFULLY FOUND SOME PERSON DELIVERING A PARCEL TO A HOUSE SO WE COULD ASK FOR DIRECTIONS

We wanted to have dinner at the fine dining area, we were not allowed because we were with our 5 year old grandson. We were told children are not allowed. We were then ushered into the Pub area, this did not make sense at all, especially being with a 5 year old. We asked the Supervisor if we could go back to the other restaurant as it was a very quiet night. There were only 2 ladies in the entire restaurant. She insisted that it is not allowed. We then decided to go and dine outside of the hotel, disappointed, as it was raining heavily that night.
