Service was excellent, staff was friendly, the place itself looks beautiful. Our room was beyond spacious, our room had the river view, we had an outside sitting area as well if you felt like fresh air without going outside (ground floor family room) Our house keeping was done by Kristen quite an amazing, friendly lady, high spirited and full of love and kindness.. She did an amazing job in our room the 3 nights we were there, pity there was no compliment book for me to express my gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional service

I would have appreciated having our own kettle and coffee in our room, having to go back and forth inside, up the stairs was a bit of an inconvenience

We stayed in a suite which was a lovely size and everything was well positioned. The room has a good size TV positioned in front of a comfortable couch. We were able to connect to log into our favourite TV channels including Netflix etc. We only had one room service dinner during the stay. The dinner was served in a relatively short time, which was a great surprise, and it was delicious.

The breakfast could have been slightly better. I know the breakfast was continental but I didnt like the scrambled eggs and we had them everyday.

The service was exceptional and the staff went above and behond! The guest relations manager Kristin went out of her way to make sure we are happy with our room! Even when we had to move our booking to another date it was no inconvenience to her and she was the absolute best! The food outstanding and every dish perfection! Riri was super attentive and I believe a total gem to have at MyPond Hotel , she made sure after a 10hour day of travel that our kids food was ready for them on arrival. We certainly enjoyed her company We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

There was nothing not to like, if I had to nitpick I would only say that the room might need a bit of maintenance here and there, but this was minor in comparison to everything else that was perfect

Overall, the hotel was very good. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, particularly in the dining area. The view from the upstairs rooms is very pretty over the river. The aircon works well and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The hotel's general areas are well kept, and it was decorated very prettily for the festive season. Breakfasts were tasty, plentiful and varied.

The restaurant for dinner though is supposed to be fine dining but did not meet expectation. The steaks were not well cooked - and I was offered margarine instead of butter for the baked potatoes - not 4* in my opinion. We did not eat at there again. Only one side of the toaster was working so you had to wait very long for toast in the morning. While seeming clean, there were a few areas overlooked in the bathroom. The pictures of the pool are misleading on the internet; but is fine for young children to play.

Great view of the Kowie river, good breakfast and dinners, dedicated and hospitable staff, strong wifi, clean rooms, plenty of parking, and fenced for security, and there are security guards around. I liked the 4 tea varieties in the room, and also great room service.

Room service closing time is too early, 20h30. At least close at 9 or 10 for room service to assist the patrons, who arrive late after music shows or something.

Wine on the winelist was not available, no teaspoons in room when I wanted to make coffee. Despite the property being well maintained the mattress in my room had a spring jutting out which left a nasty abrasion on my leg. Lock on bedroom door was fixed before arrival but the grease/oil was not cleaned. Probably an oversight by cleaners.

The Hotel completely exceeded all our expectations, Kristin( Guest relations) was extremely helpful and even assisted in booking us massages on the premises... Our room was fresh and the linen crisp and clean, we slept so well... i had lunch on the terrace, delicious!!! breakfast the following morning was also great and the staff was super friendly and helpful! would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing break away without breaking the bank...

We loved the aestic of the room and the views. The size of the bath was awesome and so was the service.

The wifi was unstable and we would have loved a smart TV. The aircon was bot working. We were informed by staff it would be repaired the next day, which did not happen. The only unpleasant part of the stay was dealing with the heat as the fan provided could not be fitted near the bed and was too loud anyway.

We initially booked the standard rooms however we upgraded it upon arrival. It was a good decision to upgrade as the standard rooms were small, no movement space and had no view at all. The rooms facing the river are extremely spacious and equipped with everything you need. The bathrooms was spacious too. The view at night over the lake is beautiful. The breakfast was great. The staff at the breakfast tables was very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

The pool was alot smaller than advertised in the pictures. The standard rooms are alot smaller than advertised.
