During our four-night stay in May 2024, we were consistently impressed by the hotel's central location, exceptional service, and inviting atmosphere. Prime Location: Situated in the heart of Santa Cruz's vibrant port area, the hotel is just a short stroll away from the marina, water taxis, countless tour operators, fascinating attractions, and a diverse array of dining options. Impeccable Service: The hotel staff, led by the attentive manager Ana, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless. They were incredibly friendly, always eager to assist with any questions or recommendations, and made us feel truly welcome. Comfortable and Clean Accommodations: Our room was not only clean and refreshed daily but also equipped with efficient air conditioning, a lifesaver in the tropical climate. The included breakfast offered a delicious and varied start to each day. Highly Recommended: We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Cucuve to anyone planning a visit to Santa Cruz. It's a fantastic value, perfectly located, and offers the kind of personalized service that makes a trip truly memorable.

We felt like we were special when we got to Hotel Cucuve. They really go out of their way to make everything as comfortable as possible. The beds and sheets were AMAZING. It was the only place I got a good night's sleep each night. The amenities were incredible: snacks any time, fresh water, fast internet, breakfast, and the cleaning staff really did a thorough job. They even arranged my daughter's stuffed animals sweetly on her bed! Whenever we had questions, they went out of their way to give great information. And right next door is a shawarma place! Cheap ($5/wrap) and close and tasty. The lounge area down by the beach was a nice touch. There's even internet there. Stephania was especially helpful. We loved our stay here.

The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was excellent…Ana was always there to take care of us. Very clean. The bed & pillows were very comfortable!

Street noise was loud. There was a dog which barked several nights almost non stop. We used our ear plugs & fan app every night. I realize this is not something the hotel has control, and being so close to the Main Street was a definite plus. So, maybe provide a fan for white noise or ear plugs. No good answer. But just be aware that the street noise can be troublesome.

This was a lovely hotel in an excellent location. The staff was all very helpful and friendly. Rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The darling woman serving breakfast was a highlight! It felt very safe and homey.

I really can’t think of anything. Occasionally there was nobody at the front desk and only Spanish speaking workers but it wasn’t really ever a problem.

We had an excellent breakfast pack from them on our early morning excursion. Well presented and packed for us to eat as we got hungry on the boat trip. All were wrapped in eco-friendly packaging. 10/10 We were super happy with how they explained their commitment to being responsible towards nature and what they do to be actively involved. The info in the rooms was presented subtly, although not overwhelmingly. The free shopping bags and water bottles were a nice touch.

The staff was efficient, professional and kind. The location was easy walking to everything. The rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was superb. The staff, Anna made my stay one of my best.

Stairs MAY be difficult for some.

Couldn't have asked for more. Hotel staff also graciously offered suggestions and directions. Went above and beyond to be helpful.

This was a great spot right in the town of Santa Cruz. You can walk to everything from here. The staff were very kind and accommodating and our room was comfortable! Breakfast was great too!

super clean, modern, comfortable, great location, and front desk woman was extremely helpful and answered lots of questions. bonus points for access to the waterfront terrace where you can either BYOB or order from the restaurant adjacent. breakfast and access to snacks was nice as well as the cold tea in the lobby. overall a recommended stay

no outdoor space directly at the property unless you walk a few blocks to the terrace, but that’s a minor detail. breakfast hours could be longer and checkout was 9am which is pretty early as well but they let me have late checkout which was nice. I also couldn’t find the water refill until the last day when I asked the front desk about it. it was hidden in a corner upstairs in the dining room.

The property is clean and comfortable. It is located in town, near most restaurants and the ferry dock.

Nothing to dislike other than ongoing street renovations. But that was not the hotel’s fault.
