Quirky centuries old building perfectly located on the Orb River. We arrived at 10pm after a short 10-minute walk from the station in light drizzle. Mark the host was very accommodating at this late hour. We gasped at the view when we opened the bedroom balcony door to a beautifully lit up bridge. Loved our one night here. Our hosts Ben and Mark were lovely (Mark talks a lot more than me!!). Lots of very interesting dustables scattered around. Breakfast was good and served in a pretty quaint room. It's not a far walk up the steep hill to Saint-Nazaire Cathedral and Les Halles de Beziers food hall. Lots of restaurants a few minutes' walk away. Sharon & Duncan Kommetjie Cape Town South Africa

The room we had was fabulous - that view!! The bed could have been more comfortable. The outside area has sadly been neglected - the garden could be transformed into something spectacular with a little love. Could be a perfect venue for a celebration then.

Fabulous place to stay - quiet, peaceful, and the patron is friendly and obliging. An easy, beautiful walk to the 9 locks. The town centre is at the top of the hill, but there are lifts to get there. Large room, large bathroom, view over the Orb and the Vieux Pont. Stylish furnishings throughout the Maison. What also gives it a nice feel is that it's a guest house rather than a hotel. Good selection for breakfast in a cosy breakfast room that feels like home. I loved it. I didn't want to leave!

Not an issue for me, but not a place to stay if you have mobility issues. This is a lovely old house with lots of stairs. Again, not an issue for me as I went into the town centre, but no nearby restaurants - that I spotted anyway - please correct me if I'm wrong!

Had a lovely stay in Beziers. Mark and Ben are very knowledgeable hosts and were able to offer good advice on things to do etc in the area and beyond. The location is excellent for walking the river and canel du midi as well as walking into the old town. The escalator to the d town is a stones throw from the accommodation. Free parking is within a short walking distance. Continental breakfast was lovely. The fresh bread and compote was outstanding. Great value for money.

The room was a little smaller than I anticipated ( im useless at working out stuff like that) but it had everything we needed.

This place is a genuine old house that has been carefully renovated and meticulously furbished with great sense for detail. Good breakfast served in the dining room. The location is quiet, just by the river, yet only a short walk from the most interesting parts of the town. The host turned out to be a very pleasant person equipped with a good sense of humour and a true ambition to make his guests feel welcome. Also responsive in written communication prior to our arrival.

To be honest, the bed was not super comfortable, although very stylish, and takes one point off full score. Do not expect this place to be soundproofed or fully equipped with modern amenities. But the standard is accurately described in the information provided.

Great location with free parking close by, and lovely views of the river, old bridge and cathedral from our room. The property has interesting historical links, as a safe house during the 2nd World War for allied soldiers in the cellar below. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and gave us good information about Beziers. Our room was large and comfortable. The hosts had thoughtfully provided 2 fans to help cool us overnight. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Overall, it was great value for money.

Although the b&b was excellent there was a smell of drains in the street outside. The lifts into town smelt of urine and we noticed a lot of dog poo on the streets.

What a gem of a location, beside the picturesque old bridge, below Cathedral St Jaques and the old town (now reachable by two lifts and aerial walkway). It is quite near the railway station, approx 15min. The hosts are two dear gents, who keep their guests entertained at breakfast time, with the history of the house, local characters and of themselves. I could see for some, their flaunting of the rules in running a B&B for retro-chic could be alarming; some of the character is quite nostalgic, but in keeping with different ages and uses of the building. A unique and engaging place to stay. I hope to return.

What has been a run down area (now in renewal) there are still slightly unnerving thoroughfares, like along the bank of the Orb river under road and rail bridges; or through an under-pass.

Charming property with equally charming hosts and great breakfast. Can’t beat the location right in the center of town, just steps away from the elevators to the historic sites on top of the city. Out room had a beautiful river view and was large and comfortable.

During the heat of the summer it can be challenging to keep a historic property cool. Fans are provided and nature helps with thunderstorms and evening breezes….

This characterful B & B is located, close to the Orb river, in a thoughtfully restored mid-19th century house. The hosts, Ben & Mark, live onsite giving the house a homely cottage feel. Ben and Mark are very attentive, friendly and accommodating and serve an excellent continental breakfast which is included in the room price. Our spacious room was comfortable and we had a small balcony with wonderful views over the river and its intact medieval bridge. The property also has a lovely rustic garden available for clients' use. I would not hesitate to stay there again and, in fact, probably will.

I had very little complaint except for the fact that, if you are a couple and you want to go out separately you have to be let out by someone else.

Very attentive gentlemen hosts who added that personal touch to my vacation. A fabulous location down by the river; I had the very spacious river view room which didn’t disappoint - the added bonus of the frog chorus was fabulous! The overall property was large and accommodating , superbly clean & fashioned in a quirky, fun and eclectic manner. Mark & Ben are knowledgable of the area, and any answer any questions you may have. A delightful daily breakfast was offered every day, with options of extra water/refreshments should you require.

At the time the internet was down, but personally for me it wasn’t a problem, and I was told about it on arrival.

Beautiful location, quirky house and wonderful hosts. Mark and Ben couldn’t have been more welcoming and gave us lots of info about where to go and what to see. Our room was bijou but lovely with a great view and the bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was sublime. Little touches like having plenty of chilled water to take to the room and not one but two fans in the room were very much appreciated. The atmosphere over breakfast was lovely and inclusive - a real home from home experience. Thank you.
