Really nice location/surroundings (reason for choice), swimming pool, gym, easy public transport access (bus)

Service in restaurant appeared a bit inefficient (had to repeat request for drink, waited a long time to get attention for ordering desert), perhaps because we were sitting outside (but then so did many others)

Hotel is located in nice and quite area full of trees and with huge lake 10 minutes walk where I could just sit down, relax and watch sunset. Hotel's got 24h reception so doesn't matter what time you turn up, they always take you in and provide with everything you need. Restaurant was brilliant and tasty, staff very friendly and helpful as in restaurant as in hotel part. Next time when I'll be on similar travels, I'm sure I'll be back again. Thank you. Dominik.

This is my second time here and my good experience is consistent with the last time. Room was large, gym/fitness facilities (including a sauna) were great. Food was alright at the restaurant for dinner, but breakfast was not so great. It's not worse than most chain hotels in the Netherlands though (I rarely have great breakfasts at such restaurants - the Netherlands doesn't have a huge breakfast culture, so it's not surprising). Front desk staff were great. In particular, Keilab (I probably spelt his name wrong - young guy with a gold tooth) was fantastic. He was very friendly, patient and helpful, especially for a Dutch hotel (where service isn't always so impressive in my experience). I rate him 10/10 for his service, he should get employee of the year!

The food for dinner was not great, but it wasn't bad either in terms of quality. Price-quality ratio wasn't good though, small portions for fairly high prices. For instance, one pork skewer and a very small amount of vegetables for over €24. Still, a good experience overall makes this negative point negligible.

The floor in the room has to be renewed. Also the doors of the shower When we arrived there was a power failure , not only of the hotel.(few hours) It would have been nice to get a drink on behalf of the hotel

The room was nice and comfortable, breakfast was also good! Because I visited Groningen for work, it was a bit far from the center, but the buses were a good alternative to taxi and very affordable. The overall milieu was old school luxurious, which I personally love. Oh, and the pool with the massage functions was amazing, perfect for an achy back.

The location. Loetje restaurant is around the corner. Friendly staff at the reception. Big parking by the hotel. Bed comfort was really good.

The rooms are dark, because of poor light conditions. The carpets on the floor are full of spots.

Very comfortable beds in large bedrooms, free parking, friendly staff, a nice collection of paintings in the entrance. Wonderful dinners.

It needs some renovation due to stains on floors and peeling wallpapers. Breakfast is a bit basic

The location. Restaurant Loetje is within walking distance.

The breakfast buffet is a bit sparse. The bed mattress is worn out. The mattress is slanted away from the bed frame. The rooms are gloomy.

I deffo recommend this hotel for a single night or a longer stay at Groningen - I got offered a clean and spacious room with a king size bed, free wifi and free parking. 24/7 reception, friendly staff included.

Carpet looked a bit too used over the years

Forgot to pick up my money from the save when leaving. I phoned them from home. They were very helpful and sent it to me in Switzerland without any hesitation. Thats what I call ‚customer service !
