Great location by the canal. Beautiful deco and comfortable. Felt luxurious but homely. I loved the little touches . A coffee machine in our room and fresh cakes in the dining room to take.

Beautiful old building. Super friendly staff, spacious room with high ceiling. Tea, coffee machine is in the room. It is not in the middle of center but Groningen is not huge city, you could walk everywhere within 10 mins. Parking across the street with discount rate! But best of all is hotel staff- you are best!!!

You hear sounds from other rooms sometimes but that is normal for this type of old building..

Me and may partner stayed at the property for 5nights, Hotel is clean and tidy, staff are very approachable and helpful one person in particular, his name was Nicky i think I can’t remember his name, would definitely recommend

We had an upgrade in the deluxe Kamer. The bed is one of the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the room is very beautiful. The staff is kind and attentive

Nice location on the edge of the historic city center, with a public parking garage just 100m away. The room was very nice, exactly like the pictures with a really comfy bed. Lots of historical details with an old fireplace as the center piece of the room. Staff were all very friendly with good tips about what to do in the city. Nice breakfast, served at the table with a small buffet for yoghurts, fruits etc as well. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely go back when visiting Groningen again.

The staff were wonderful, very personable. We received top notch service. They even upgraded us to a nicer room at no extra cost. The breakfast was one of the best buffet breakfasts we've ever had. Food made with 'love', service given with care and attention by the whole staff at the hotel. We've travelled to a lot of hotels for our vacation, so we are so used to the NH, Ibis and Holidays Inns, we miss the unique flavor a real hotel can give, bit tired of the chain type hotels. We found that uniqueness at Hotel Corps de Garde. We will definitely come back and recommend it to all our friends.
