The hotel administrator Laura is the best!!! She is an example of excellent communication, she tried to solve all our problems immediately. The location is nice, the views from the rooftop - excellent. The Hotel has nice interior. Good coffee in the cafe :).

Our room (number 4) was on the ground floor, with quite poor views through the windows (one of them facing a fence) and there was a lot of humidity in the room (maybe because it was close to the ground and the sun was never entering the room). There was no chance for swimming suits or towels to dry… you could feel the humidity in the bedding also… The humidity even caused a strange smell. One more thing that annoyed us - the noise of the swimming pool pump every morning, around 7:30 (I am not sure if it was a pump, but the sound was as if water was flushing in some big basin).

The Mero Mero Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is modern with good water pressure. The location is a block from the beach so not inconvenient to carry beach chairs, coolers etc. the star of the hotel though is the rooftop. Although there are no appliances in the guest rooms, the rooftop has a fully equipped outdoor, covered kitchen. The refrigerator is segmented/labeled by room so each guest has their own space in the fridge as well as in the cabinets. There are multiple seating areas in addition to the ones by the pool. We enjoyed sitting up on the rooftop with our favorite beverages and watching the sunsets. The only negative or caution I would give is that there is no elevator so if you’re mobility challenged, you should ask immediately for a ground floor room. Laura was very responsive to all questions and requests even though she wasn’t there day and night.

Located right in front of the main square of El Cuyo, this hotel exceeded our expectations! Not only was Laura extremely attentive and communicative before our arrival (we were delayed due to rain) but she also explained everything to us nicely but quickly so we could get to the beach and waste no time in lengthy check-ins. Our room was properly sized, simple but stylish and it had a secondary bed with underbed and a hammock, so it can fit a lot more people if necessary! The hotel is not beachfront but it takes you less than 5 min to walk from and to the beach. They also provide towels if you don't want to take yours (just don't lose the towels haha) The pool in the rooftop, although small, it's great and the view is amazing! Also, despite being located right in the center of the town and our room being the first one in the hallway, we slept without noises. The hotel has its own cafe and food there is really yummy, their chilaquiles are to die for and my daughter loved their brownies! Overall a wonderful, although short stay and we can't wait to be back!

This has nothing to do with the hotel but while we were in the rooftop pool we were joined by another small group and they began smoking weed. It's a small space and we were with our young daughter. We don't mind people smoking but it was a really strong smell (despite it being windy) and they also left some of their weed inside the pool. Maybe reinforcing some etiquette or having some personnel up there would help to avoid these situations (since kids can stay in the property), but again we understand this is not the hotel's responsibility.

Everything at Mero Mero is fantastic. From Laura at reception who could not possibly be more accommodating to the staff at the onsite restairant everyone was so welcoing and helpful. The hotel itself is beautifully designed. Chic minimalist rooms with comfy beds. The rooftop pool overlooking the ocean is the perfect place to wind down the day. Love the communal kitchen!

Breakfast was delicious. Location is a few feet from the beach. Laura was one of the best hosts ever, very friendly and explained everything about our stay.

I don't think there was anything I didn't like. We just had a shortage of water once so couldn't flush the toilet but this is part of the experience of a small town on the beach. You can't really complain about anything you are aware might happen. So just enjoy the beautiful place and experience.

Location is perfect, right in the town center, near the beach. We particularly loved the rooftop open air kitchen which was well equipped, including large refrigerators and cupboards for guests’ use. It also had a comfortable sitting area where guests could gather and socialize at any time of the day or night. The rooftop pool was also lovely. The facility is fairly new and is so tastefully decorated. Lovely boutique hotel !

The power went off around 12 am, and no one was there to turn on the private power generator, even when we messaged the concierge, so we had to spend all night without AC which to be honest, for the cost of the night it’s not what we were expecting.

The hotel is very pretty! The coffee shop makes it super worth it to stay there. Amazing food and coffee. Staff is very attentive and nice.

Cant see the ocean fm the rooms, somehow I’d gotten that idea. It’s very LOUD, there’s construction, it is in front of the plaza, noise coming fm the coffee place.

The rooms are big and beds are comfy - thankful for air con and ceiling fans 🙏🏽. The roof top deck is amazing - to watch the sunset from there is quite spectacular. Lau the receptionist is super friendly and helpful.- also the cute Laguna cafe below the hotel is delicious.
