Fabulous location and layout of hotel, individual separate chalets were superb. The facilities available were readily available and plentiful. Swimming pool, jacuzzis, spa, steam room, pool table, table tennis and gym. Extra activities also available on request, archery and air rifle target practice. Lovely walk round forest paths and new development area.

I loved the location set in the forest. There were lots of birds and monkeys around and the pool and spa baths a welcome respite after a day out touristing. Our room was lovely and the bathroom large and well appointed. The staff were super friendly and very helpful.

The food in the restaurant was fine, but we found the breakfast menu complicated as it's broken into categories that we would have rather mixed and matched.

I’ve said this about many places in Sri Lanka, and it absolutely applies to Sigiriya Forest Edge: the true highlight of this property is the incredible staff. Everyone was genuinely kind, attentive, and made our stay feel both homey and effortlessly relaxing. We were traveling with a baby, and the team went above and beyond to help — from preparing special meals to arranging everything we needed with care and attention. A very special thanks to Tharindu, who took it upon himself to recover and ship our lost jacket from Colombo all the way to Sigiriya. He was also a fantastic resource, helping us discover other local activities and making our stay even more memorable. As for the hotel itself, we loved being surrounded by greenery — it felt like we were staying among the treetops. Our room was comfortable, peaceful, and well-equipped. Also, heartfelt thanks to the restaurant team, who treated us to some of our favorite Sri Lanka.

I personally found the furniture and decor a bit dated. A more modern touch could really elevate the overall experience and bring the hotel to the next level.

The hotel is located in the middle of a forest and while the road there is dark yet magical, once you enter you feel like in a dream. The place is surrounded by a fence to protect from the animals and the rooms are built on columns so you feel very safe. The rooms are wide, tidy and clean with a nice balcony to the trees. The team is absolutely great, attentive and service oriented. I want to highlight Kalana who was our main host and was extremely nice and took care of everting we needed. The food was great and menus was great and fresh and with great variety. Absolutely magical

If I could give this hotel more than 10 then I would! We have never experienced this level of service anywhere we have been. All the staff are kind and attentive - their priority is to make your stay as comfortable as possible and they do it all with a smile. The hotel itself is beautiful - individual tree houses for each guest that are connected by a beautiful walkway through the trees. The restaurant, pool, gym, pool room and table tennis are all emaculate. We didn't use the spa, but I have no doubt that too would be brilliant. The hotel puts on transport to the main sites in the area, but as we had a car we didn't need to use this. From check in to check out it was a 5 star experience, we didn't want to leave.

The Staff were very polite and friendly couldn't do enough for you. Loved the bungalows, very comfortable and well equipped. Would love to come back.

Our stay at Sigiriya Forest Edge was absolutely perfect! The staff treated us with so much kindness and care, going above and beyond in every way. Even when I had a small fall, they kept checking on me throughout our stay to make sure I was okay – something I truly appreciated. On top of that, the breakfast and dinner were delicious and made with such care. The hospitality here is warm and genuine, and it made us feel completely at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Sigiriya – you will be treated with the best care!

This was the best value accommodation that we had in Sri Lanka. Rooms have a luxurious feel to them and the whole property is amazing. Wonderful staff. Great food and breakfast.

The hotel truly exceeded my expectations, pictures do not do justice to how beautiful and luxurious this hotel is. We only stayed a night sadly but if I was to come back I would book 2/3 nights here. Sigiriya is an absolutely beautiful part of Sri Lanka wish I stayed longer. The hotel staff were so kind and went above and beyond we honestly felt like royalty all the way from arrival to departure we were well taken care of. I would honestly highly highly recommend this hotel. The bedroom was really big and beautiful and it had all the amenities you could need.

The entire structure is cared for with so much attention to detail, making every corner a pleasure to discover. A special thank you to four amazing people who made our experience extra special: Kalana, Isuru, Sajeeva, and Oshan. Your kindness, professionalism, and warmth truly made us feel at home. The chef deserves the highest praise — every meal was a delight! Delicious traditional flavors, thoughtfully adapted to European tastes without ever losing their authenticity. Every dish felt like a journey through Sri Lanka’s culinary heritage. The waiters were always available, ready to help with a smile, and attentive to every need. Their service was impeccable and made us feel incredibly well cared for. To sum up: the hospitality, the setting, the food, the rooms — everything exceeded our expectations.
