Staff are amazing and willing to help with anything you need. Location was out of the main town but still a easy 10min walk to town. If going further out and need a tuk tuk they will organize for you however as we found out the prices are higher than if you get your own tuktuk to places. There are monkeys and squirrels running around the property so you need to make sure you never leave your belongings left outside or in outside bathroom area. The rooms were nice and clean. Beds are doubles. The door latch to the bathroom was hard to lock and needed some attention but we just coped with it. Beautiful large pool however trees are hanging above so the pool is always got leaves in it but the staff try to clean. Had dinner one night and a good range of local foods however the food was cold which was a shame. The breakfasts however are amazing and given a range if local food each day.

Everything! How often do you get to stay in a tree house? It was like the best glamping ever. Yes there are bugs, ants and monkeys stealing anything but you expect this in a treehouse! It was luxurious, the bed comfortable, good aircon, great outdoor bathroom with hot shower. The dinner and breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Mosquitoes so take lots of repellent- they do put a burner on your balcony and there’s nets round the bed. We didn’t have issue inside, but outside. This is a small thing to worry about though as the experience far outweighs this small inconvenience

We upgraded to the A-frame tree house with a private pool a few days before arrival, and it was the best decision. The pool was the perfect size to cool off for our family of five. We loved our stay here. While this hotel might be a bit further from Sigiriya, they organised a driver in a safari jeep to take us where we needed to go. We also went on a game drive to a nearby national park, which was amazing; we saw so many elephants. You can walk into some local shops as well. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and both were really good—best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka.

I can't think of anything. Only maybe that the jeep was a bit newer... the driver and guide were great though.

The Habarana Tree house Mutu village is a great location to stay in Habarana. Located outside of the city, this eco-lodge is in the middle of a natural area. A few pretty wooden cabins are scattered around a reconstituted jungle, with ponds and a large swimming pool near the main building where meals are served. Some of the cabins are located in the trees, while others are raised on stilts. Despite their simplicity, the rooms are very comfortable, with good matress, mosquito nets (very useful, given the mosquitoes), wooden furniture; an outdoor bathroom with an outdoor shower and very nice fittings. A kettle, tea and coffee, and mugs make for a pleasant break. The Sri Lankan breakfast is very original and delicious: congratulation to the Chef! The manager and all the staff have been very accomodating and helpful to find a car and help at their best to give all needed information. Thank you again for your kindness.

Very little comments which do not remove the attraction of this nice place: The internet wasn't reaching the cabin, as it was quite far from the main building, but it was not such an issue. The paths and the whole site would benefit from better lighting at night as it is very dark, but that's part of the lodge and nature aspect! ;-)) Unfortunately we have not been able to enjoy the swimming pool as the weather was quite rainy during our stay.

The treehouses are fairly new and very well designed. Each has three double beds arranged over two storeys and each has its own pool on the well furnished terrace. The pool is only really suitable for cooling off, but if you want a proper swim you can just walk over to the comunal pool (3 mins). Same, the manager, was unfailingly attentive and helpful, as weee all the staff.

At present there is nowhere to buy food or drinks to consume on your treehouse terrace but they are building a small restaurant in the area where the treehouses are and it is due to open in March 2025.

Staff were lovely and very accommodating Great Sri Lankan breakfast with plenty of variety WiFi was solid Peaceful and Really immersed in nature Comfortable beds, mosquito nets were in good condition and did the job

The doors to the room and the open-air bathroom didn't really seal flush with the door frames, leaving gaps that could let insects and animals in. I guess it's part of the charm, but I would have preferred if it was a bit better sealed. There wasn't really room for it, but a chair or two inside the treehouse would have been nice. Due to being mostly shaded, the pool was a bit too cold for our liking, despite warm weather. The one dinner we had wasn't that great, I think it's hard to provide a decent Sri Lankan meal if you take away the spice.

Loved our tree house in the jungle experience and seeing monkeys up close roaming at our lodgings. The staff had to be quick when making up the rooms as they would sneak off with the towels. Spacious and very comfortable rooms, which were cleaned daily. Sameera our host was exceptional as well as his staff. Sameera organised our safari trip which I must say was a highlight to see elephants roaming free. Loved our jungle breakfast baskets delights for breakfast.. Easy walk to town (take a torch) the streets get dark at night. Lovely cafes nearby the first one on the main road was a top spot and the food and coffee were great.

Unique rooms that are above the ground (''treehouses''). Nice pool at the cente. The whole hotel is nicely designed. The dinner was really great, however the SriLankan breakfast wasn't to our taste (too much fried food).

However we had a squirrel in the room in the night. Which was really bad because we didn't know what it was and we couldn't sleep from 2.30am on. Maybe for your it is common but for us it wasn't. I know you sleep basically in the middle of the jungle but before people arrive rooms should be 1000% checked. When i told them in the morning they checked and just said that the squirrel was making a ''home'' in the room and smiled. While we with two small children couldn't sleep for the whole night...

Stunning outdoors, friendly manager, comfortable beds, outdoor shower, good communication on WhatsApp and prior trip, staff doing some work to improve property (example new lights outside!), peaceful surroundings

No hotel information booklet in rooms or reception to help with basic information like dinner times, rules, useful info… No price information for dinners/drinks etc No daily room checkup to remove trash (and therefore avoid ants and pest) or give a quick tidy up A bit remote from the main road and no shuttle to go at night This hotel has potential to be even better!

The eco context feels like you are in middle of the jungle. There was a squirrel nest on the top of the air con inside the room. It created a lot of noise but was so cute. Lots of little creatures everywhere but it is part of the experience as the houses are semi opened and have cracks in the wood structure. The animals around the property are plentiful from squirrels to monkeys eating the mangoes from the trees on the property to frogs living in the pond. The kindness of the staff. Always happy to help even if they don’t understand English fully. Same, the manager is always happy to chat and share recommendations. He is quite reactive on what’s app if we have a question. The breakfast is big and very tasty.

Could improve the floor around the pool and paths leading to the tree houses. It’s just plain ugly concrete (different from the photos on booking). The original wooden floor had to be removed for safety as it got swollen with sun. The swimming pool is cold and could be heated.
