Pool area was lovely and room very nice with good air conditioning. Staff were lovely and very helpful especially Ravi David, Zaky, Srithar and Nimasha.

Town isn’t walkable - you’ll need a tuk tuk

Fantastic staff, incredibly friendly and helpful, especially housekeeping. Great location close to the elephant safari, village tour (we were dubious about this but it was actually very good) Sigiriya and the other must see sights. The rooms were large with lots of drinking water provided. The pool guy was friendly setting out loungers and pool towels for you as soon as he saw you coming. The pool jets were fun and an added bonus. The beds were incredibly comfy and huge, much better than the Cinnamon Hotel I'm at now!

The safe was operated by a key, it would have been better if you could have used a code. The room lights were hard to understand.

Quite exceptional outstanding service hallmarked our visit. All meals were fantastic. We had breakfast and dinner, Quality and quantity of food was excellent. Pool was large. We only stayed for 2 nights, We were arriving from about 3 hours away on the first night. The hotel reception called us to check what time we might be expected as they did not want us to miss dinner and were concerned about us being late: that was extremely thoughtful. However the most exceptional service I have ever seen from any hotel was on the day of our departure. Bearing in mind, we were only there for 2 nights. We had to leave early in the morning at about 6:30 as we were catching a train from Kandy at 11. The restaurant did not open till 7am. I spoke to the restaurant staff and manager the night before, hoping that they might be able to provide us with a few small items to take away. What they did instead, was to open the entire restaurant at 6am - an hour early - just for us (a family of 4) to have the choice of every item on the breakfast menu. That's right - the entire restaurant: all the food choices, all the restaurant staff were there on hand, an hour earlier. Just for us. There was no one else in the restaurant. Quite exceptional, superlative service.

I cannot think of anything that could have been better

The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help us and our children. We loved the pool, the lush gardens, the swings, the gym and the family room was excellent. Egg station and breakfast was very good. Waffles and french toast very nice too. Dinner had good mix of curry and western options - bread and lasagne were very good too. Kids enjoyed the fish tanks and the chipmunks and wildlife in the gardens. Stayed 2 nights (nearby elephant safari, Sigiria and cultural exploring) but a 3rd night to chill at the hotel would have been perfect.

The bed was a little hard but that's personal taste.

It is a great resort in the middle of the nature. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is great and the full experience of the facilities is relaxing and comfortable. Very good for families with kids that wants yo relax while enjoying the activities around Habarana

The breakfast was not good, it is a buffet with enough options but everything was just not very tasty. Even a descent coffee was hard to find. The staff is very nice but a bit too pushy for us, we prefer to be left alone in our vacation rather then being flooded with help efforts.

The hotel is set in very nice gardens, with lots of nature on show including butterflies and birds. It is a quiet area, although not far from major tourist attractions. The family room, with two bedrooms, was great for us. The staff were all excellent - very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is reasonably large, it never felt busy. Breakfast was good.

Choice at the dinner buffet was a bit limited - we would have liked more Sri Lankan food and more vegetarian options. It was possible to order some drinks but a shame the bar was not open for more varied choices.

Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and huge [pool - the best pool in the whole of our trip! The staff were very considerate and friendly, without being pushy. The guys on reception helped us get a good price for tuk tusk and taxis for our various trips. great restaurant and buffet, and a variety of drinks on offer. The hotel is in the middle of farming countryside which means lots of lovely birds and local life - a bonus.

The rooms are a bit tired and could do with painting and removal of some old furniture - maybe this is work in progress. We noticed the sun chairs and the pool area was being upgraded.

Unforgettable stay! Amazing pool, spacious and spotless rooms – but the real magic is the hospitality. The staff went above and beyond with genuine warmth. They organized fantastic tours, threw a surprise birthday party for my wife with decorations and smiles all around – all at no extra cost. Huge thanks to Nimisha and Sarasa – you’re the heart of this place!

What a beautiful place to stay. The rooms and facilities are excellent but the main thing that sets this place apart from anywhere we’ve stayed before are the staff. Every single staff member, from the pool guy, to the cleaners, to the restaurant staff, to the reception staff, to the chairman and even the local tuktuk drivers they call for you - they are all gracious, warm, welcoming, friendly and go above and beyond to cater to your every need. One of the staff members even offered to help us with some of our luggage to our next destination…which is a 2 hour drive away…on his day off! They cooked delicious meals for us that weren’t even on the menu and did it to the highest standard possible. If you are heading to Sigiriya, you absolutely MUST stay at the Sungreen Resort. We absolutely loved our time here and it was all thanks to the amazing staff. Thank you again to everyone at Sungreen Resort.

For the price, this place is clean if a little tired We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The staff are lovely if not a little too attentive at times.

The sunbeds need some cushions! We didn't stay around the pool much but they were rock hard wooden ones and not very comfy! The breakfast was adequate but it is so cheap to each out so we only had breakfast their once.
