I liked almost everything: from the wonderful staff who went out of their way to help me with an issue I had with my phone charger to the beautiful rooms to the outstanding surroundings. Add to that the proximity to one of the best spas in Sri Lanka, an excellent breakfast, and a reasonable price for what you receive, and you get yourself a winner.

This is not what I didn’t like but what visitors should keep in mind: the place is away from the city; so I wish they had more vegetarian options for dinner. That’s all.

The Gabba resort is a great place to relax while sites seeing in Habarana, we were too busy to use the pool but surrounding is lovely, The girls on reception are helpful and young man who were serving at breakfast was a quick learner for sure, as we had some confusion over breakfast everyday ( however they take the order a night before) after finally we mentioned, it was corrected on our last day. our understanding that the stuff haven't been trained which not fair on them, not good for business! otherwise we enjoyed our stay. lots of restaurants in town specialy Elephant paradise near to our hotel. The spa is over priced.

The resort is beautiful, situated inside a forest with only a few very cool places te sleep. The sleeping buildings were clean, comfortable and big. Sitting ont he porch of our ‘room’ we could see a lot of animals in de forest, especially birds. The staff was very nice (and even made a special breakfast take-out for us when we wanted to get up early to see the sunrise!).

If i need to give some negatives: When it us windy the tree next to our house sometimes hit the roof, which made a lot of noise. Furthermore there was a lot of light in the room early in the morning. However, this was not that big of a deal for us!

We had an unforgettable experience at Gabaa Resort and Spa in Habarana! During my trip to Polonnaruwa, my car broke down in Habarana, forcing me to stay overnight. I booked a room at Gabaa Resort, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience despite the unexpected situation. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help me find a reliable garage and get my car fixed promptly. The room was clean and comfortable, providing much-needed relaxation. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, exceeding my expectations. Though my stay was brief, the exceptional service and hospitality left a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Gabaa Resort & Spa in Habarana, and it was an unforgettable experience. The cabins are extremely beautiful and impeccably clean, featuring very comfortable mattresses and an abundance of cozy pillows. The attention to detail is impressive, with thoughtful touches like a humidifier and lovely decorations that enhance the overall ambiance. The pool and garden areas are serene and quiet, providing a perfect retreat for relaxation. The breakfast is incredible, offering a variety of both Sri Lankan and Western options that are plentiful and delicious. I also enjoyed lunch and dinner at the resort, and the food was always varied, tasty, and not too spicy, which I appreciated. I indulged in the spa services, opting for a 3-hour massage that included a steam sauna, shower, and facial. It was a delightful and unique experience that left me feeling rejuvenated. The staff at Gabaa Resort & Spa are exceptionally helpful, kind, and welcoming. They truly make you feel at home and are always available in case you need anything. Despite arriving late, I was warmly greeted with tea and flowers, and upon departure, I received a thoughtful gift which I truly appreciated. My stay was a perfect 10, and I wholeheartedly recommend Gabaa Resort & Spa to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway in Habarana.

What a lovely surprise! From the moment we walked in - a very warm reception and great surrounding. Rooms spacious, comfortable and very clean. Dinner was another surprise - delicately prepared soup, biryanis and curries. Worth the wait as everything is prepared from scratch. Excellent location as Habarana gave us the opportunity to explore Central Province to the full. Combine all this with exquisite staff and the formula is complete. Well done guys, you deserve these 5 stars!

It is more beautiful a place than the pictures-if that’s possible! We spent 3 days, one just relaxing in the premises and we don’t think we can get over it! The people working are really helpful, really kind and provide you with anything you need. From their welcome until their tips for our departure, they were tireless and obliging. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Also, they can arrange any visit in the nearby monuments and cities with excellent service. Bonus for us: on the day of our departure monkeys were playing outside our room, which we enjoyed so much. Can’t recommend it enough!!!!!
