The people working here were absolutely wonderful and so helpful! One of the staff arranged a tuk-tuk for us to visit Pidurangala Rock, and not only did the driver take us there, but he also patiently waited for 3 hours while we climbed up and down, and then drove us safely back to the hotel. We also had trouble finding transport at 6 a.m. to another city, but within just 10 minutes he managed to organize a driver for us, which allowed us to catch our elephant tour near Kandy on time. When we first arrived, we were welcomed with cold, fresh towels and juice, which was such a nice touch after traveling. The swimming pool is amazing, and the hotel has a really lovely atmosphere overall. Highly recommended!

Levona Garden Resort is run by an entire family, and all family members are extremely kind, willing to help and professional. We booked our safari and other activities through them which was very easy! Our stay at Levona Garden Resort was wonderful. We stayed at one of their beautiful tree houses, which are very clean and spacious. You can have drinks and meals at the resort, which are delicous and a great amount. The garden of the resort is beautiful as well, and in the area there are many nice restaurants. Also really nice to jump in the pool after safari or other tours. You should have a stay here!

Well maintained garden, lovely looking tree-houses, the family hospitality and breakfast are great. Bedsheets and towels are very clean. Family is able to arrange excursions to many places for OK prices. Restaurants are on walking distance.

Pool could be cleaner and better maintained. Cleanliness is ok, but rooms feel a bit dusty at some places. There are nightly visitors (monkeys) that walk on the roofs of the tree houses, if you experience the sounds for the first time it can wake you up and startle you. But this is also Sri Lanka for you :-)

The staff were so incredibly friendly, a lovely family run the resort. The room was quirky and the location was decent (easy walk into Habarana/free shuttle service to some restaurants, right on the doorstep of the nature reserves, easy to get sigiriya/Danbulla and an hour's drive to Polonnaruwa/Anuradhapura). The breakfasts were always good but the dinner was fantastic, the mum's a really good cook, would thoroughly recommend eating here for dinner, just need to tell them in advance.

Looks, it's rustic, but it's priced quite fairly for the location and it had a lot of charm. The family suite is above where people have breakfast/some people sit there in the evening so it can be a bit louder, and the monkeys do sometimes climb over the metal roof which gave us a fright but let's be honest it was good.

A small jewel in the countryside, run by a family whose friendliness and warmth are hard to beat. You are looked after and informed, help is given wherever you need it. The location is good, in max. 10 minutes you are on the main road. The complex is very green and well-kept, it has a beautiful pool and the rooms on the ground floor have large terraces. Our family room was huge, the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets. The bathroom is spartan but sufficient. The breakfast is varied, delicious and different every day. As a bonus, there is a friendly dog who likes to be cuddled :-) Thank you for a lovely stay!

Levona Garden is a great place to stay. With its pool, lush garden and exceptional hosts, we loved it. It is a family run place and they are very helpful and kind and did everything to make us feel comfortable. Our room is clean and nice. There is a blue light mosquito repellent machine in our room. The breakfast was really good with all kinds of Sri Lankan style crepes, hoppers...We also had dinner there, it is also delicious. Host/mom is a great cook. They helped us book activities and gave us directions to travel around. To visit Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, it is good base. Thank you lots for your hospitality and hope to visit Levona again.

Rarely leave 10* reviews but the family and environment really are lovely. It's not the Ritz and it's a very short 5 min walk off the 'main road' down an unlit track but the pool was great, room did exactly what I needed, food was lovely and the family are extraordinarily welcoming. I wouldn't bother booking any excursions in advance. Wouldn't normally go with hotel and 'family friends' but they were an upgrade on the usual trip operators you find online. Highly recommend.

Ask them about the second WiFi for rooms at back and how to operate the hot water for the shower! Once I asked, all good...

The gardens are stunning, the pool inviting, and breakfast deliciously memorable. Rooms are spotless, beds incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning perfectly cool. Conveniently located near town, there are plenty of options nearby for food or drinks. Train station isn't far away. Its prime spot makes it ideal for exploring Sigiriya, Dambulla, and Polonnaruwa—top sites in Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle. Simply put, I'd stay here again without hesitation.

Before we arrived in Habarana, we were on a sight seeing tour through blistering hot Anuradhapura. The religious sites prohibit any form of headwear, so we stood under the sun without much protection. When the two of us arrived at Levona Garden Resort (red as a hummer and dehydrated), the two sons that work there greeted us with an isotonic drink and a cold, wet towel. The best we could have asked for. The rest of our two night stay there was just as memorable. The family was absolutely considerate, packed breakfast for our tour to sigirya, gave us a lot of interesting information about life on Sri Lanka and were good company all along. The room we stayed in had everything you need and with the blue light inside almost no insects bothered us. Also, the daily room service was a pleasant surprise. What brings this resort up to a 20/10 experience is the beautiful garden, filled to the brim with exotic plants, the playful dog (Rexi), the cute kitty (kitty) and of course the lovely host family. I have to mention the plants again, the word "Garden" in the name is an undestatement. Many restourants for tourists are in walking distance but also local life like a small market is just down the street. We can recomend this Homestay to the fullest extent and will try to come here again.

A lovely, welcoming Sri Lankan family run this hotel. Beautiful colourful gardens surrounding the property, which offer shade in hot weather. Beautiful pool surrounded by the lovely gardens. Rustic tree houses with comfortable beds and lovely furnishing. Good Sri Lanka breakfast. -

The bathroom had a tree through it which made it a very authentic tree house experience. However, where the tree exited the room, it was not properly sealed so rainwater came in from the roof. Damp and musty smell in bedroom. The tree house had a metal roof, so when it rained heavily in the night it was very difficult to sleep because of the noise. Very steep steps to our accommodation.
