I had an exceptional stay at Green Garden Resort in Habarana! From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality of the hosts made me feel right at home. The resort is nestled in a tranquil garden setting, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after exploring the nearby attractions. The room was impeccably clean, and had a comfortable bed that guaranteed a great night’s sleep. The attention to detail in the décor added a unique charm to the space. Breakfast was a delightful experience, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. It was evident that the hosts take pride in providing a top-notch experience for their guests. They were always available to assist with anything and even helped us arrange tours to local highlights like Sigiriya Rock, Minneriya National Park and Habarana Lake. The resort's location is ideal for exploring the cultural and natural wonders of the area while still being a serene retreat to return to at the end of the day. I highly recommend Green Garden Resort for anyone visiting Habarana. It offers incredible value for money, a welcoming environment, and an experience that is truly unforgettable.

It is great value for money - you do get what you pay for. The hosts are beyond lovely, they give you great local recommendations that aren’t tourist traps. The place is tropical, full of plants in the garden, lovely surrounding really embedded in nature. The room is spacious, the balcony is great with some couches and you can order nice home made food at any time. There are mosquito nets over the beds which is great.

There was no sound isolation between the 2 rooms since it is literally a tree house so I guess this could be expected. The room could have better lighting for the evening as it could get quite dark, the shower didn’t have a curtain so the bathroom would have a wet floor all the time because water wouldn’t evaporate. It almost hurts me to say negatives because the hosts are so nice and really make up for a lot of it. In general you get what you pay for; you pay little and so you get very basic conditions in terms of infrastructure of the hotel.

The place was extremely beautiful, being in the middle of the jungle but with all the comforts we needed. The room was really clean and with a good scent. The hosts are the most kind you could find. They are interesting, available and beautiful people. The host also offered to drive us to the most beautiful attractions of the region with a very cheap prize. If you go I would recommend to eat there since the meals they prepare are special. The quality of everything we experienced was way beyond our expectations.

The owners are a wonderfully kind couple, always eager to help. When I fell ill with the flu, he even went out to purchase Ayurvedic medicine for me. He also showed us a stunning sunset spot just a short walk from the house. The location is ideal—set back from the main street yet within easy walking distance of everything. The air conditioning worked perfectly and quietly, and hot water was always available. Breakfast was a delightful experience, featuring a varied menu each day that included eggs, jam and butter, pancakes etc., and fresh juices made from their own mangoes, passion fruit, and wood apples, along with excellent coffee. Their beautiful garden provides a serene space to relax and unwind. Overall, our stay was truly exceptional!

Occasionally there were some animals in the room, but they were harmless and nothing to worry about.

This Resort is the best place to stay in Habarana. The garden of this hotel is amazing. The hotel is well-located, close to shopping, transportation, and tourist attractions. The hotel's staff has always been kindly, friendly, patient, and helpful. You could address all of your problems with them at any time. They help to plan all of our tours at a lower price than elsewhere (including Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Ritigala, Dambulla, Village Tour, Dancing program,and Elephant Safari). The room and wash room was really lovely, clean and good smell . Breakfast was delicious and really varied. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner may all be obtained here for a comfortable price. I would strongly suggest this resort to everyone. I will surely return to Green Garden Resort for future stays.

The hotel is well-located, close to shopping, transportation, and tourist attractions. The room was really lovely, cozy, and clean. A pleasant odor emanated from the room. Breakfast was wonderful and really varied. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner may all be obtained here for a moderate price. The hotel's staff has always been courteous, patient, and helpful. That impressed me the most. You could address all of your worries with them at any time of day or night. They planned all of my tours at a lower cost than elsewhere (including Pidurangala, Dambulla, Village Tour, and Elephant Safari). They washed my things at an affordable cost. The price-performance ratio is quite nice. I would strongly suggest this motel to everyone. I will surely return to Green Garden Resort for future stays.

This accomodation was in a very quiet place surrounded by a lovely garden. We enjoyed our stay there, it was very clean and 5 minutes walk from the bus station to visit all the places around.

The owner only offered us taxi or tuktuk options, we found a bit too bad as we were looking for the cheapest option and local buses were perfect for going to Dambulla or Polonnaruwa. We were not sure about the prices he gave us for the morning he drove us to Sigirya, we found it not that cheap comparing to other places we have been to. We spent less time than planned in Pidurangala and Sigirya, but he still took 7000 LKR instead of the 6000 we wanted as we spent 4 hours instead of 6, so no possibility to negotiate at all.

The hotel is well situated, being close to shopping, transport, and the tourist sites. The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. A good smell came from the room. Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. Not only breakfast but also lunch & dinner can be had here at a low cost. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. That impressed me the most. No matter what time of day or night, you could turn to them with all your concerns. They arranged my all tours with lowest cost than elsewhere (including Pidurangala, Dambulla, Village tour & Elephant safari). They washed my clothes in lowest cost. The price performance ratio is very good. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone. On my next stays, I will definitely check into Green Garden Resort again.

Very nice and helpful hosts! They helped us with safari and trip to Sirigiya - good prices and experienced drivers. The bathroom was very spacious with hot water. Air condition worked perfectly.

Generally the room was good and there were only minor things to improve. The mosquito net is not like on the pictures - it is classic round one. The room and bathroom itself is little more worn out than on the pictures and in the bathroom the shower attachment was broken.

Small room, air conditioned and with a mosquito net. Bathroom was clean, shower worked great. Everything one would need for a one night stay with only light baggage. The host recommended us to watch the sunrise on Pidurangala, which was a great recommendation, and he got up very early in the morning to serve us breakfast before we went. The driver we booked through the hotel was very friendly and considerate. Additional charges for the driver were clearly communicated up-front.

For us introverts it was sometimes difficult estimating when to accept an offer and when it was an upsell we didn't need. But it was nothing out of the ordinary for a tourist city.
