The staff is friendly and competent. The sandy beach & the beach bar are great. Food in the buffet is good. The room is clean and spacious. The garden is lush and full of animals as a jungle (in a good way). Lots of different activities for kids.

We got a very noisy room (should be a problem only for building 8), there was a loud machine running day and night (in the resort next door). Some things were broken in the room (night table hanging from the wall, so that the drawer would just slide out in the middle of the night; toilet paper holder not fixed properly, fell off by the end of the week; some of the lights were flashing). The restaurants served the same quality food as the buffet, with an hour of additional waiting time. At 6:30 there are no free chairs by the pool anymore. Depending on wind/current there might be a LOT of seaweed on the beach.

5 Stars – An Unforgettable Stay! From the moment we arrived, this resort exceeded every expectation. The property is absolutely stunning—clean, vibrant, and perfectly maintained. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. Guadalupe, our housekeeper, went above and beyond every single day. Our room was spotless, beautifully arranged, and she even left little personal touches that made it feel like home. Her kindness and work ethic are unmatched. At the pool bar, Marco kept the energy high and the drinks flowing. He remembered our favorite cocktails, always greeted us with a smile, and made lounging by the pool an absolute blast. The man is a legend behind the bar! And Alberto at the World Café—wow. Every meal we had with him was top-tier service. He was attentive, personable, and made sure everything was perfect, down to the smallest detail. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and it shows.

the room was clean, spacious, very comfortable. Loved the black out curtains. The food was good! loved the different themes of restaurants. Staff was very nice and accommodating. No problems during my stay.

The resort was under construction. I know this is a necessity to building and growing beautiful resorts. The construction noise was very loud all day long, and some parts of the resort were closed.

The staff they had was exceptional. Very polite, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Special shout out to Omar and Vicente (not sure of the spelling.) Great planned activities. Food was good, enough variety, good selection from room service.

Under staffed, restaurants closed on certain days. The floor in our room needed better cleaning. Better consistency; towels, 1 day we had 6, then 4, then 3. Some days we got turn down service, some days not. Some days they filled the mini bar, others they didn't.

Pools are good, son of 5yo had a blast on the three large waterslides Everything is clean and comfortable, staff is friendly and attentive Variety and quality of food is good and the grill next to the pool is great for lunch time Because the rooms are spread over many buildings it doesn’t feel so massive as some other resorts

The first rule of the pool is not to put towels to claim the pool beds before 10:30am, sadly they don’t enforce this rule leading to most beds being “occupied” at 7:30. This is very annoying if you’re with kids and actually plan to use the beds at 8ish while people claiming the beds don’t show up until 11ish.

Very well maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and accommodating . Always smiling and happy to help. Every single one I was in contact with and said thank you to responded with a “my pleasure”. Food was excellent , taco bar was out of this world. Great pool and pool bar, beach bar and coffee shop. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable . We had a wonderful time !

The beach was full of seaweed and color of water is brown . Most guests stayed only at the pool and so it was difficult to find chairs by the pool ( had to get there around 7-7:30 am to be able to snatch a place by the pool . If you want a cabana by the pool it costs between $40-100 us ( depending on location ) .

The property was very clean and the staff were always cleaning up around the property. The location was great…not far from the airport and close to the little town of Puerto Morelos. Public restrooms were very clean. Staff was attentive. Drinks were served quickly around the pool area. Taco cart every night near the main bar was really good. The guest hosts are really good at getting people involved in games and activities and are super friendly and really fun.

Pool may be a little small for the amount of people staying at the resort. I had to get up while it was still dark out 6am to claim chairs by the pool for me and my family. This may be because it was windy for a few days and maybe people didn’t want to sit on the beach. After three days we asked for new towels, we put the dirty ones in the floor which were taken but then they left us with no towels, hand towels or wash cloths. I was on a third floor room jungle view building 9. We were really close to an electric transformer or some kind of machine that was loud with the balcony door open. Our family members had two rooms on the first floor building 9 and there was a slight sewer smell in their rooms. Building 9 is also the farthest building from the resort.

Dreams Sapphire was a great option for us with an infant. Pros: ocean views, tub on balcony. The Asian restaurant was delicious with sushi roll station. Generally kid friendly and restaurants were well equipped with high chairs. Overall food was above average for an all inclusive with good variety. The preferred rooms were spacious and the preferred lounge was a plus. Cons: the chair hogging is the worst I’ve seen at a resort. By 7 am, all the chairs are taken. Either they need more chairs or they need to figure out a way to handle the demand. They were always out of pool towels. No reservations for restaurants so average wait was 90 minutes and then the service was super slow especially at Bordeaux (2 hrs with an infant). If you are breastfeeding and need refrigeration, don’t rely on the mini fridge it was barely cold and there’s no temp control. Overall we had a fantastic time but there could be things that can be improved! I don’t necessarily feel like I need to return. I’d be interested in trying a different Dreams in the area.

Third stay at a Dreams Resort. This one had the best food we have had at a Dreams Resort. We always consider the food to be good but not very good. This one actually had some very good meals. The only thing we really saw wrong was just that it’s a bit dated. We also didn’t like that the Preferred didn’t offer any benefit whatsoever over the standard rate. No butler, no separate dining area, no reserved seats…. Nothing. We stayed on a great deal on Booking.com and if we scored another great deal like we received we would do it again. But wouldn’t pay more than $2.5-3k a week for a family of 4.

This is a smaller resort, which to us offered a more personal touch. All members of staff we met, were friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. This was our second visit to dreams Sapphire, the first time we came it was with family, including young children. Rooms were cleaned daily and they also offer a turndown service as well. If we needed anything for the room, we just made a phone call and the items were delivered. We enjoyed our stay so much that we chose to revisit, but this time as we were travelling as a couple, we upgraded to preferred. We loved the preferred pool, especially the Bali beds. We also liked the preferred lounge in the evening, which was much cooler to sit in and wasn’t busy either, snacks/buffet items are laid out as well. There is no entertainment in there, but it is offered elsewhere. We enjoyed both visits equally.
