Wonderful place to go and be pampered. The staff is fantastic, from the front desk to barman Guido, Veronica who showed us the winery, Alfonso the maitre and the restaurant staff, all went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The building is stunning and the grounds very well kept. Furnishings are sustainable and robust, all wood, stone etc and no plastic. Everything used once is re-used.

The location is a bit remote from Piemonte’s main sights (on the upside, it is in a quiet and beautiful area with small villages and vineyards). Note that while there is a pool, it is a 10 minute walk from the main building. We did not use it and had the impression other guests did not either.

This place was absolutely stunning. A piece of paradise in the midst of nature and vineyard. Everything was picturesque. The pool was beautiful and a bonus!

We had dinner at their restaurant and service was very slow. We sat down at 730pm and didn’t finish until 1030pm. We have two young children who stayed awake way past their bedtime for food! However, the food and wine were amazing. Would suggest families to let the servers know in advance if they need faster service.

This is a fantastic place with good service and an excellent restaurant for dinner as well for breakfast. We will come back to this beautiful hotel.

Although very pet friendly, dogs are not allowed in the pool area which is not practical when guests with dogs want a dip in the pool during a hot day. Dogs need the to be locked up in the room which not many dog owners will appreciate. We will never do that. At the restaurant and other areas at the hotel they were very welcome.

The location is beautiful and the attention to details is very much present throughout the entire premises. Relaxing environment which was just what we were looking for.

Rather challenging to get to and from Villa Sparina if you do not have, or rent a car.

Everything from the quality of the buildings, to the views were spectacular. It was a quiet getaway conveniently located to the town and vineyards of Gavi. The service was exceptional and the pool was an added bonus.

The Gallina restaurant, while very good, overworked the food for anyone looking for a traditional or comfort meal that the Italian cuisine is renowned for. But, the quality of the mostly 'homegrown' produce was exceptional.

Everything, except the one thing.

We stayed in a suite. And it was surprising to learn that you have to pay extra for water in the room. It looks strange when you charge so much for a night in a hotel, and then another 3 euros for water)))))).

Beautiful views over the vineyards and creative design features throughout this property. Service is outstanding and great restaurant and bar. We arranged a visit to the cellar below the garden and it was a special step back in time. Great place for a special few days away.

I was impressed by the hotel staff – they were all so friendly, kind and welcoming. The hotel is nicely designed, and the rooms are spacious and very stylish. The restaurant offers fantastic local food, including local wines and truffles.

The only disappointment was a thin pillow. Unfortunately, there was just one thin pillow in the room that ruined my sleep.
