We were on half board. Dinner was delicious! We love the dishes cooked by Jussi. He made superb Elk, turkey and berries pies. The aurora cabin was amazing with the window and forest view. Bed was really comfy. All the Staff scored A* for their great services. Reception staff were extremely patient and helpful with all our queries before arrival. They gave us great advice with the link to catch the public bus from Rovaniemi. Told us to alight at Holiday Club and also arranged for transport to pick us up from Holiday Club. They also gave us the best cabin no. 1 :) We signed up for the National Park hike and Aurora camps during our stay. Veeti was our guide for the hike. A young and handsome chap with good potential. He was patient and spoke very good English. Abraham was our passionate, knowledgeable and experienced guide for the Aurora camps. We saw the Northern lights and learnt a lot from him. We enjoyed his friendly company very much. We fully recommend Northern Light Village!
The toilet could be better as there was a smell. We also find the glass window too bright during the day. Great if they can provide curtains all for the cabins.

I had the most wonderful and magical time at Northern Lights Village! The Aurora Cabins are amazing! The guides are excellent, very knowledgeable and totally awesome! I loved each and every activity! The food is so delicious and all the staff is really friendly and helpful! I will definitely come back to this beautiful winter wonderland and this amazing resort! Thank you so much for one of the best vacations I’ve ever had!

Everything was great. Especially the rooms and activities were very good. It was fascinating to see the aurora lights from our room. All the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. Especially our Greek neighbors Alexandre from the restaurant, Alexandre from Aurora Camp and the Hungarian lady from whose name we forgot were very helpful. We were satisfied with all the activities, all of them were very enjoyable. The food was delicious but the variety was limited, it could have been better in this regard. It is also an advantage that it is 20-25 minutes away from the airport. You can walk to Sariselka nearby and visit. Thank you for everything.

The place is magical, the outdoors activities are amazing. Campfire and husky sleigh tour were amazing.
Nothing was bad in my stay, but if the only thing I can say is that Unluckily the campfire activity wasn' t long enough (9pm departure from the village, arrival at Nellim at 10.20, stayed in the tent until 11.30 and back to the village at 1am) to see any northern lights as the days are getting longer,it was cloudy and we had the sunset lights until midnight, making it difficult to see anything. But the tour guide was very entertaining and very knowledgeable (Katie) and she gave us a very good story of the Finnish history and the Russian boarder history. Of course the weather is not to be blamed to the tour guide! Luckily we got to see the northern lights in Saariselka on Saturday night when it snowed for almost all the evening and the lights appeared in the sky at 1.30am ❤️

We travelled with our two sons (7 & 4) and stayed 2 nights. The yurt/cabin was fantastic (cozy but still plenty of room for the 4 of us) and we got to see the Northern Lights our first night (second night was too cloudy)! It was incredible! We did the Husky Safari one day which was fantastic - everyone loved it and I would highly recommend! The second day our oldest son did the kids snowmobile experience which he enjoyed and mom/4 year old did the Reindeer experience (1.5 hours). It was perfect. We learned about the reindeer, got to go on a sleigh ride, and got to feed them at the end! Although my son was a bit disappointed that the sleigh didn’t fly and he didn’t get to meet Santa 😂 The food was good quality and they had something for everyone’s taste - including a kids menu. We had a wonderful time and would recommend to friends/family!

Absolutely delicious dinner! Breakfast not quite as fantastic, but still very good (morning shift staff Butz and May were amazing!); the cabin is so cozy and well equipped (panoramic window and views to the forest were magical); excursion options were varied and started from the hotel - lead guide Abraham as well as guide Pedro were super supportive! And yes, Northern lights were visible as well (hotel’s aurora alarm is accurate)!

We really enjoyed how amicable the staff was. The food at buffet was great too, the selection was not huge but satisfactory and the quality and taste was amazing. We also liked having the activities right at the resort. We particularly loved the husky experience (10km). Aurora alert app provided by NLV was super handy as it alerted all the guests when a live camera spots aurora in the sky. We were lucky and saw it on our 3rd night during dinner. Literally the entire restaurant emptied out as everyone got the alert. I don't think we would have had a clue otherwise as it was quite a faint one.
We were visiting Lapland for only 3nights/ 4 days and wanted to increase our chance of spotting the aurora hence booked at NLV Aurora cabin. As much as it is a novel experience and cabins are quite well designed (besides nowhere to dry towels or clothes) when traveling as a family I would not recommend any more than 3 nights as the cabins are small. We also didn't realise you have to pay for the use of sauna (100EUR per hour session). The upside of that is that you get to use it privately. Otherwise everything else was great.

I really can't find words that accurately describe the wonderful stay I had at NLV 🫶🏽 The staff was very friendly... from the guy who picked me up to take me to the hotel to those who served me at the hotel, the restaurant and the activity guides. The room is a dream...a wonderful aurora cabin, with incredible views and a magical atmosphere...I got cabin #1...it's quite far from the center of the village, but it's the best, because you have the whole forest to yourself. The cabin is small but has everything essential for a comfortable stay. Clean bathroom with shower and hot water! Large and comfortable bed to rest and heating to keep you warm. Living room, refrigerator with mini bar to spend free time. The restaurant hall is very large, the food delicious and lots of variety. I booked reindeer sledding, husky sledding, cross country skiing, snowmobile and aurora camp by the lake...all activities were excellent. Even if you don't book any activities, it's an excellent village to relax and experience the real winter in Finnish Lapland. I hope one day I can go back to NLV 🫶🏽
The aurora camp by the lake activity can be boring for adults if there are no auroras, as happened to me...so it is better to check the possibilities of seeing auroras before doing it. Although it is a natural phenomenon, they have an app that allow monitoring the activity of auroras.

Everything was perfect. While the room temperature in other hotels we stayed in in Lapland was fixed at 20 degrees, here we were able to adjust it as we wanted. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. When you enter the hotel, you can arrange all the activities with the help of the staff. Seeing the northern lights was amazing!!! It was very enjoyable and easy to walk from the bungalows to the restaurant, to the deers and the huskies.
They have combined the single beds, it can sometimes feel uncomfortable for two people to sleep in it, it's as if the beds are going to be separated :)

What tips the scale for me usually when I stay in a hotel or resort is the service. Very professional, polite and friendly. I was allowed to check in a few hours early (no extra charge) and even though I (unintentionally) checked out almost an hour late, they remained friendly and smiling. The cabins are amazing, a lot of privacy despite them being nearby each other, heated floors, and of course the glass roof. I was so satisfied with everything. Food was great, got to try so many local dishes and there were so many options with balance of nutrition. Nothing bad to say.
Nothing. It was 10/10
