The hotel is ideally located within Ella to reach Little Adam’s Peak by foot and to walk or hop onto a short tuk tuk ride to Nine Arches. The scenery from my room was breathtaking- direct sight of the Peak and surrounding mountains. The room was large, clean and had all amenities one could desire. There was a turndown service before bed in case anything additional was desired. I had in-room dining and it came within a reasonable time, was OK in terms of price (comparable to European prices for items ordered) and was delicious. The breakfast buffet is outstanding in terms of options and quality of food and the bar has a lovely location too with great views.

We booked two different rooms as we booked late and the hotel was fully booked. The first room ( deluxe room) lacked character, you could tell it had been put together quickly and cheaply e.g the toilet seat didn’t shut correctly nor did the toilet flush properly. We then moved to a superior double room and wow what a difference. The room was perfect it even had a roll out bed that rolled out onto the balcony. We had our morning coffee in bed outside. I would recommend booking the double room - was worth the money. We didn’t think the deluxe room was worth the money at all.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings, the views are stunning. Rooms are clean, with everything that you need and are turned over twice a day. Hotel restaurant is lovely, great selection of breakfasts. Drinks menu is slightly on the expensive side, however has a brilliant selection. Would recommend the spa which was absolutely brilliant and really good value for money Great location, walking distance to zip line, Little Adams Peak, Nine Arch bridge. Short tuk tuk ride into Ella.

No AC, but has a good ceiling fan We were put off by the price of some of the excursions and extras eg $60USD for a couple for one Yoga session We definitely would have done lots more of these if prices were more reasonable, as they have a good selection

The resort is truly exceptional: The views are beautiful as well as the interior design of the huts. The area is very quiet and peaceful and the staff is very kind, accommodating and thoughtful. Whatever we needed, they were there to help: ordering transportation, organising activities etc. The rooms and other premises of the resort were kept immaculately clean and neat! The restaurant’s menu is very well rounded providing both traditional Sri Lankan and other dishes from all around the world. We tried the Spa as well, the full body massage worth every penny! Hands down the resort made our trip even more memorable, would definitely return!

No such a thing!

Incredible views from the room which made it very special, we stayed in the Honeymoon room, with the bath a great addition. Breakfast was delicious, with a la carte and buffet. Short walk into town and very close to Little Adam’s Peak & Nine Arches bridge. The Sri Lankan treats in the evening turn down were a nice touch.

Despite being deemed a luxury hotel there were stray dogs roaming all around the hotel including the restaurants, on one night a dog jumped up on me and my partner, grabbed/bit onto my handbag and followed us all the way to the room which was very uncomfortable - the staff were reactive and apologetic but didn’t have a solution so if you’re not a dog lover this is not the place for you. Another improvement area is the road up to the hotel which hasn’t been paved making for an uncomfortable and bumpy entry to the hotel in a car and Tuktuk.

98 Acres is luxury accommodation at luxury prices. It’s stunning views, beautiful accommodation, wonderful staff and food are a delight. I loved the views from room 104 in one of the peak shaped houses nearer the restaurant it was so calming listening to the wildlife in the morning just stunning. It’s also in walking distance to 9 Arch bridge and not far to Yala National park.

I was disappointed that on day one the turn down service was a lovely touch with an evening sweet treat. However on day 2 there was no service or room tidy they hadn’t checked the mini bar to see what I’d used didn’t replenish my water or empty bins, no treat in the evening and one of my blinds was broken that couldn’t be reopened after they closed it at turn down the night before. That was a shame as it felt like all the effort was on the arrival then they lost interest in ensuring consistent luxury service. I also had to chase my laundry at 10pm when it promised its return same day as a regular service. There is a lot of expensive ration on tipping too when I think prices are expensive to book the location and are likely already included.

The reception, welcome, room itself and service was very nice, the views from our type of room was incredible, the touch of nature is amazing, everybody tried to be nice and very helpful, the quality of the food at the dinner was nice, even the chef came over to ask about the taste, and with nice live music, the spa and views they offered been one of the best i have ever experienced

during the dinner some drunk lady tried to sing karaoke and interrupted live music which was disaster, for a while it was fun, but then it happened again and nobody stopped her, you do not pay this price per night to be bothered by guest which cannot behave, and secondly even worse was the quality of the breakfast - at the special rate 50usd they charge roll-out breakfast and it was the worst breakfast experience in whole sri lanka, we booked the breakfast for 9.00am, they came 8.45 like we came to prepare the room, nobody informed us they will come sooner or whatever, so we quickly rushed to get ready for somebody to come-in, they came later again but the food they served was served low warm, and not exactly what we ordered, and the taste was average, really pity for this place

Wow wow wow! The views at this place are unreal - particularly for our room which I did feel we got a bit lucky with (room 106). The spa was sensational and the rooms themselves were so fabulous and incredible and comfortable and wonderful. The staff who welcome you and look after you throughout your stay, the spa therapists and the breakfast team - everyone is so lovely! Special shout out to Kalana and Dileepa who organised our roll out breakfast in bed which was the most special and ridiculous experience but an absolute must do if you can! It was very surreal. Basically the hotel gives White Lotus without the darkness and we hope to come back again soon! I would also like to say about the welcoming and farewell blessings - they were a gorgeous special touch and I was obsessed! You won’t regret staying here EVER

Literally nothing

Stunning property view, and the team is very attentive and kind. The location is amazing as you have direct access to many activities directly. Breakfast was also impeccable and the staff was extremely well. The food quality was perfect. The spa also gave us a lovely experience. Dinner is coupled with live music and a great selection of different food options.

There were some stray dogs and if you’re not familiar or know them, it might seem a little bit intimidating at night. We also had the impression that when the team comes for the evening service into your room the daily leave the door open as we all the time have had more insects and mosquitoes in the room after they came.

Beautiful property with amazing room views set amongst the hills of Ella with direct access to Little Adam’s peak. The staff are the highlight of this hotel and are willing to do anything to ensure your stay is memorable. The facilities here are also very good and they have an amazing A La carte breakfast with so many options. As newlyweds, the staff also did a special ceremony to wish us luck in our marriage! Hands down the best hotel in Ella, with the most incredible staff!

Hotel is slightly far from the centre of town but then again, you get the best views of Ella.
