The staff is outstanding & very helpful.

It's a gourgeous property, clean & well-maintained, but the spacious garden unit I had probably needs a review of the systems & conveniences: not enough heat reaches bathroom, fan settings on thermostat don't include "off", mini-fridge near bed is sometimes noisy. I noticed an old disconnected baseboard heater in the bathroom, replacing it would help. These are challemges in retrofitting a charming historic property, though. So I enjoyed my stay & appreciated the elegance, despite a few snags.

We had a double room for my mother and a suite for us. We were there for our daughter's graduation from VCU. We were able to control the temp, the room was palatial and very comfortable for an evening spent chatting on the couches. The bed and linens were fresh and very comfy.

My mom's room had several problems - she could not control the heat, the fridge was making noises, the TV had no sound and there was a booming air bubble when she took a shower. When presented with these issues, the front desk said "sorry" - this was a 250+ room - shouldn've been offered a discount or something because she did not sleep most of the night due to the heat and noise.

This was my 3rd stay at Linden Row- it is a lovely hotel with a lot of character. Front desk staff was exceptionally helpful and lovely to chat with. The rooms are a good size and have very comfortable beds. Fridge in room. An added bonus is the kitty cat, Annabelle. Excellent location, right in the middle of Richmond, within walkable distance of almost everything. A lot of outdoor space to use. Quiet and beautifully decorated.

The garden rooms are very dark (lack daylight), which would be an issue for me for a longer stay. No housekeeping during stay. No breakfast option because Parterre (the restaurant on site) was experiencing a mechanical issue. There were some unresolved housekeeping issues during my stay.

I loved the history and charm of the inn. When I arrived at the room, I was in awe of the space of the room. It was so large, spacious, and clean. It had a sitting area with two large couches, and another room that had a large king bed. The staff was friendly and loved Annabelle!

The only negative thing about the inn was that the restaurant had closed down and its last event was our first night there. I would’ve loved to have had our guests from the wedding come have brunch there.

They let me check-in early! And the lovely person at the front desk inspected the room herself just to make sure it was ready. Something to note: the exterior rooms seem to be a bit grander than the interior (courtyard facing) ones, but still, my interior room was huge and the ceilings impressively high. The room very quiet, but there wasn't much light; it rained most of the time anyway, so that didn't bother me. I also worked remotely for one day and the wifi was strong. The restaurant is good--a great place to hang out.

The plumbing is a bit dated, and I had some trouble with the toilet, but not such a big deal that I needed to call anyone to come fix, which I'm sure they would've been prompt about.

It's a beautiful, historic complex of buildings. There a wonderfully friendly tuxedo cat who lives in the lobby and strolls the grounds named Annabel.

Some of the rooms can be difficult to access due to the design. On the upper floors of the main building, you need to go down half a flight and back up half a flight to get from the veranda to the room. This is too be expected given the age of the architecture, but still difficult to manage for anyone with walking difficulty.

this place is a gem, and is the only place i want to stay in when visiting richmond. the staff is always cordial and welcoming (this was a second stay for us). the hotel is beautiful, and charming. the décor is on point. the bed is super comfortable, and the attached restaurant serves delicious food and drinks. before heading to the property i called to ask about an early check-in, as we needed to drop our bags off before going to an event. maria, assured me that if my room wasn't ready, she would hold them at the desk until we returned. when we arrived it turned out that she worked some magic and our room was ready. it truly is the little things when traveling that make your stay that much more delightful, and thanks to maria for being so friendly and accommodating our stay was perfect! i love this hotel, all that they do, and how they do it. they have made a loyal customer out me for certain.

historic property with really interesting features. Fantastic and fast breakfast sandwich at the restaurant. Walked to our meetings downtown, walked around the corner to Perly's for breakfast one day, which was fantastic. Public library with rare books collection across the street. You can park out front to check in. Street parking on the street, pay attention to the times or you might be towed. They pointed us to an economical overnight parking garage half a block away. Fantastic YMCA gym half a block away with hotel privileges.

The hotel is not handicap friendly and there are lots of stairs

I loved the building, the interior decoration, the linden trees in the garden and oh the garden! Location was great, we were able to walk to the restaurant for dinner (we had dinner at Tarrant's). Parking was not a problem. Our room was clean. I loved the Edgar Allan Poe collection on the nightstand. Nice touch.

The room was small.

Loved the historic feel of the Inn. Loved the cat Annabelle, we had a good breakfast on Sunday. We really loved meeting as a family in the front parlor to talk and reminisce.

The parking! It was pouring down rain. The umbrellas were in the car at the pay parking garage. I know that this issue is out of your control. Maybe on very bad days a shuttle to the parking garage?
