We purposely travel during the slower season and I liked that the hotel was quiet. I also liked hotel being very close to the beach. The breakfast's and dinner meals were excellent. Melania was our waitress for our breakfast's and she was awesome and also for Sunday dinner. She gave us ideas for shopping and where to view the sunsets. She deserves a raise. We arrived late on Sunday and she was very gracious with feeding us before they closed for dinner.

We paid extra for a balcony and were very disappointed with the location of the room because our balcony was too close to the construction going on every day all day at the building right next door to our balcony. Staff should not give guests rooms near construction. I ate most of my meals at the hotel and the dinner meals took so long to serve. I was usually the only one at dinner so was surprised it took such a long time to get my meals served. My last night there last Thursday, there was a African man who waited on me and he never checked on me once to see if I needed anything once he served me. I had to get up to find him when I needed anything.

The location was excellent for someone who needs peace and quiet in an upscale neighbourhood away from the tourist areas. The staff was excellent, very professional. The building is very old but has been successfully renovated in full compliance with its initial character so as to give off old school, retro Miami vibes. Provided that you go with that look and do not look for something ultra modern. Bed, towels excellent quality that one does not find in more expensive resorts. Nice view even from my room that faced Collins and the bay, I enjoyed the balcony a lot every night.

I wish pool and beach stayed open until sundown. I wish coffee in the room was better quality. I hated the carpet in room, it always is a bearer of dirt and bacteria… Why would you need a carpet in such a climate? I also did not like much the bathtub and shower combination, very difficult to keep clean.

I liked that we could just make us tea/coffee in the room and the lovely view of city and bay from our balcony

I think, as an European, that it is exhausting that tips are expected all the time in this hotels as in others, so one has to have cash and change and give it to people all the time. Room service ladies expect tips everyday. We forgot first day and then the cleaning lady didn’t give us more coffee/tea or shampoo. That was clear message! Otherwise very nice staff in reception, bar, swimming pool and beach🥰. Plumbing could be better and the “stairs” in the pool are worn out and yellow so they could change them

The location was perfect. Very large size pool and beach front location. Also across the street from Bal Harbour shopping mall with nice shopping and happening restaruants. The rooms were very large with kitchenette and 2 walk-in closets. Although our room had not been renovated, like most other rooms at the hotel, it was very nice, clean with beach and pool view. The rooms had connecting doors, which is great for families with children. On-site parking was easily available and significantly cheaper than other beach hotels. I would definitely stay at the SeaView again!

The bar and restaurants were overpriced and food/drinks were just average.

Location is perfect - right by the beach with a very nice, big swimming pool. Our room had a beautiful view of the bay. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and accommodating. It was very pleasant and relaxing to stay at a traditional hotel that doesn’t feel corporate and overcrowded.

Unfortunately, there is a big building under construction next door so during weekdays it was very noisy in the pool area. The noise wasn’t perceivable indoors or in the bedroom. The staff gave us complimentary breakfast vouchers to make up for it—they tried their best to make up for a situation that wasn’t their fault or could control, and we appreciated it. Hopefully it’ll be short lasting since it’s a nice play to stay.

Everyone loves their job, the staff are all friendly to each other and to the guests. The decor is clean and elegant and intimate and beautiful. The atmosphere is casual elegance and kindness. Couldnt be more pleased...i want to return even though i rarely get to Miami. Plus the room was pre-cooled, which was very welcoming. And the colors and bathroom were perfect.

The only change i would recommend is to add some lighting at the room door entrance and in the closets. Plus i would recommend a Concierge booklet in the room explaining the many hotel amenities and perimeter benefits... i missed some nice things because i didn't know about the hotel or area and needed to discover it in the few days i was here. I want to come back to this hotel with friends and family! I don't usually enjoy Florida this much. It was such a pleasant experience.

Breakfast was good and it was wonderful sitting outside and looking at the ocean!

We had reserved an oceanfront king room and got a room with 2 queen beds. Also, when they finally told us our room was ready, we went to the room only to find housekeeping still cleaning. They told us it would be 15 minutes. I went to the front desk to inform them and they apologized and said they would call us as soon as it was finished. We waited by the pool for another 45 minutes and I finally went back to the front desk as it was close to 4:30 now. They said they were just going to call us to let us know we could go to our room.

Very clean, polite staff, excellent housekeeping and very comfortable bed! Our king size standard room with terrace was large and quiet!The coffee shop was convenient and Jen and Mr A, the cook, were lovely, kind people who made you feel very welcome! This was our third visit and by far the best! The location of the Sea View Hotel opposite the Bal Harbor Shops with its variety of restaurants is an added bonus!

I had booked for the partial ocean view room. The room is large and clean compared to other hotels. The view of the ocean from the room is great. We could see the sunrise and the Ocean which is right across the backyard of the hotel without any obstacles. The car parking is secure and one has to pay $25 per day.

The breakfast at the hotel has to be purchased and can be pricey. But since its near markets so there are plenty of options available. I did not face any issues.

We had a King corner room with great views. It was a spacious room , with a sofa, dresser, and nice-sized balcony. It also had a fridge and microwave. The pool is great-- large and we were able to swim laps even thought it's not necessarily designed for this. The views from the terrace restaurant and pool are great-- because it sits up higher than the beach (many hotels do not). We loved that we could walk out from the pool gate and onto the walking/running/bike path or onto the beach. The beach wasn't huge but it was very nice and they provide towels, umbrellas and chairs. This is a family-owned hotel and we have found that family-owned usually means really well run. We loved it and would definitely come back-- even though I paid more for this room than we would ever normally pay (Miami prices) -- it was worth it!
