Exceptional service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The whole property is like a serene oasis. Walkable to a few wineries and tasting rooms nearby. The restaurant was outstanding in terms of quality and service with a great wine list. Our room Verdejo was stylish but completely comfortable overlooking the garden and the front of the property. The garden area was large and also well furnished. We only stayed one night this time but will definitely do at least 2 next time.

The relaxed atmosphere from check-in to departure. The breakfast was out of this world - exceptional choice of food and we could have stayed for as long as we wished. Dinner again was superb. We both ordered steak - (mine rare and my wife’s medium rare) and the steak was cooked exactly as ordered. Excellent.

What an incredible hotel and experience! A beautiful location and a very tasteful renovation. Wonderful rooms, we had a junior suite which was gorgeous. The staff were incredible, particularly Phillipa, Max and Miren but all were so fantastic! The food was fantastic, we had the tasting menu, garden menu and breakfast. The chef’s creation were amazing and this really should have a Michelin star! We also used the e-bikes to explore the beautiful countryside and bodegas. Lovely pool area and outdoor space. A fantastic experience where staff could not do enough for us. This could be the best hotel my husband and I have stayed in.

This is so small but there was construction next door that did get a little noisy but not sure what the hotel can do about that.

This Palace says Quality all over the place. The attention to details, the quality of everything from materials in the room to everything at breakfast. A lovely bed with very comfortable sheets and duvets, a nice layout of the room and bathroom. Really fluffy slippers. The staff were very attentive which you would expect at this level hotels. It was the small things: they provide e-bikes for free, but you also can have a lock, helmets in different sizes, a GPS and a bag to go cycling around the vineyards. We enjoyed a dinner at Tierra y Vino, their Michelin recommended restaurant. We chose the 5-course dinner, and can recommend it.

The conversion of this beautiful building has been completed with great care. No expense has been spared to create a wonderful space in which to relax. Our room, Tempranillo, was perfectly laid out, with a small lobby offering storage for bags. Off to the side, before the bedroom, a very well laid out bathroom; two sinks with storage under. Through into the dressing area with plenty of hanging space, proper coat hangers and drawers under. Completing this area, a counter with tea / coffee making facilities, fridge and safe. The bedroom was a lovely space, muted colours and furniture. The attention to detail is outstanding, with art works through the building. In the lounge area, there is a beautiful collection of Murano glass, shown in display cabinets built through the wall to the restaurant, which also houses a wonderful collection of wine. Staff are friendly and engaging. Maximiliano was very helpful and in the restaurant, Miren and her team offered help with the selection of wines and menu choices. Parking is either at the side of the hotel on the street ( perfectly safe) or in a small enclosed courtyard across the road. All in all, a wonderful hotel.

The hotel is gorgeous, the art pieces around the hotel and in the room are beautiful and authentic. Location is convenient to visit a lot of places and wineries in Rioja. Bed is comfortable and room amenities are great. Food is excellent, stuff is helpful and polite. Everything was outstanding.

This is not a big deal at all but a couple of days a background music choice was questionable: cover songs and not in their great interpretation. But the rest of the stay it was nice instrumental collection.

The accommodation was excellent, and Max, Filippa, and the entire team were absolutely wonderful – they took exceptional care of us! The rooms were top-notch, the pool area was beautiful, and the location was perfect for visiting various wineries in the region. We would like to sincerely thank you once again for the outstanding hospitality – we had a truly unforgettable stay!

I LOVED my stay at Palacio de Samaniego! I don't know where to start. The facilities were impeccable; newly renovated it's clean and modern but classic. The building is well maintained and the staff are friendly and the place felt like home, I was very comfortable in it (felt safe, at home and physically comfortable the furniture was amazing). The hotel is like a little museum it was incredible with all of the art work you feel like you are living inside a little art gallery/museum. There are only 9 rooms so the hotel feels cozy and you know most of the people who are staying there with you. The staff are exceptional, I felt like I was in a B&B where everyone gets to know you and genuinely they were so kind and I got on with them, was sad to leave! Location is insanely amazing; the town only has the hotel and two wineries in walking distance but the hotel has almost everything you need. It's a great place if you are out all day and want to stay in and rest in the evening. You can walk out of the hotel and go on walks up the mountain behind it or down in the wineries below - it was breathtaking. The hotel has ebikes and we took them around to the villages nearby, such a bonus for the wine country! Overall the value was insane, at 300Euro/night you get so much but mostly you feel at ease.

The location meant there wasn't anything to go out and eat at in walking distance and there are no stores in the town (except at one winery nearby which isn't always open and is fine dining) however the restaurant is phenomenal and reasonably priced. I wouldn't say it's a reason for not going because there's Laguardia 10 minutes away if you want to get out and move around. Just something to note.

Palacio de Samaniego was fabulous. The building was beautifully restored while retaining some of the elegance and romance of its former life as a palace. We had a lovely room with a balcony on the front of the building and a view to village and surroundings. The village is charming, albeit tiny, and the surrounding vineyards breathtaking. The best part of the hotel experience was, without a doubt, the service. Both Max and Philippa were incredibly helpful in giving recommendations and securing reservations--Sugar, in Laguardia, may have been our favorite dining experiences while in Spain, (saying a lot as we also were in Madrid and San Sebastián, prior to Samaniego). Max deserves extra credit for making our biking expedition to local wineries a highlight of our trip--he even walked us through town to show us a little gravel road on which to ride. Thanks, Max and Phillippa for being so wonderful at your jobs!!!

The location was perfect -- not too far from Logrono, Haro, and Laguardia, but still secluded. The staff was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. We had to check out at 6AM, thereby missing breakfast on our last morning, so the team prepared to-go breakfast for us as we traveled back to the airport. You also must eat at Tierra y Vino for dinner. Service and food are fantastic!

Nothing that comes to mind! We had a great experience and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
