beautiful stay among the vineyards

A lot of miscommunication among the staff, regarding the booking of an English vineyard tour. The booking was confirmed online but when we were there, we were told by one staff that there was no English tour that day or the next. We were then told by another staff that there’s an English tour at 5pm. And at 5pm, we were told by a third staff that there’s no such English tour. we were extremely disappointed by the poor handling of logistics. our trip was affected as a lot of vineyards in the area require booking of English tours in advance. we didn’t manage to book any in the end, as the hotel gave us such late notice of the cancellation of our English tour. we felt that the staff were very nonchalant about their mishandling of our booking as well, and did not offer any sincere apology.

The room was very pleasant including the bathroom, the view of the vineyard was wonderful and the breakfast excellent. Being a winery we enjoyed trying their wines at the wine bar with a lovely view of the mountains and bought some to take home. We enjoyed the dinner in the restaurant which was to class degustation style, more than we would have spent normally but the experience with the view from the dining room as well was worth the indulgence!

Stay was too short!

We had a premium room that had the most amazing terrace that overlooked the vineyards. A great place to roll out my yoga mat every morning. So peaceful. The breakfast was very good with a mix of cereal, yoghurts, fruit, continental, various breads and scrambled eggs & bacon. There were walks from the hotel and the receptionist booked us e-bikes to explore a bit further. The receptionist, Montesclaros, was the most charming, smiley person who helped with sorting out exploring and where to go. The wine tour was amazing, seeing how the family run business produces their wine culminating in the tasting of some of the wines. Point to note if booking to make sure it is English speaking as not all of the tours are.

Lovely room with great views.

Could not have dinner in main panoramic restaurant as large party booked for 8 pm. Had to eat in “non view” restaurant. Best seat was by the window. We were not allowed to sit there? We sat down at 8pm and left at 9.45 and no one sat at that table. In fact there was only one other couple in the restaurant when we were there ( who also asked for the window table) The large party arrived as we were leaving. We felt cheated out of our dining experience. We ate, we left! However, the food was excellent.

A lovely boutique hotel with stunning views. We travelled in April when the weather was not so good but I could imagine August September here being absolutely beautiful. Having our pet dog with us was no trouble for the staff and we all felt very welcome. The wine was pretty good too. 😵‍💫

The hotel and the shop/wine tour were not very well aligned. This made for some confusion on our side and change of plans. To make matters worse we could neither taste or buy the locally made sparkling wine or even have it with our meals. 😳

Absolutely gorgeous property! The views over the vineyards from the rooms and the dining room were spectacular, and there are a number of areas around the grounds to stroll and explore. The staff were uniformly helpful, friendly and efficient. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, with nice large beds and good showers. Nice continental breakfast buffet. Unbelievable value for money overall.

Just some minor suggestions: the rooms should have proper refrigerators so that people can store and enjoy all the wonderful wine they buy! The menu in the dining room was rather limited. But these minor issues would in no way prevent us from returning.

The view was excellent. The room was good and very clean. The bathroom was good but the glass door (partially see through) was a bit random especially from a privacy aspect

The two evening meals were terrible. The first night was beef cheek that was unbelievably tough. The second night was described as lamb shoulder with the bone removed but it ended up as breast of lamb braised with all of the bones, gristle, fat and membranes. Most people sent their’s back…….but there was no alternative. These meals spoilt the occasion. We recommend to go out to La Guardia to eat!

The grounds and views from the hotel looking out to the vineyards were beautiful. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, notably the pastries and fresh breads. The location in proximity to LaGuardia was wonderful and offered a nice alternative for pinchos and a visit of a local village.

We wish we were able to take a tour of the grounds and vineyards, but there were not many options that worked for us. Only thing we could recommend is USB ports in the rooms, but a very minor point!

Everything was amazing, starting from room - big enough, super comfortable bed, beautiful and comfortable bathroom with two dinks, graet and big shower. And the view to the garden/winery. AMAZING!!!! The breakfast was included and it was full of everything needed to make first meal of the day. And coffee was delicous Is was one of the best affordable rooms in Spain that I have ever been!!! You can even taste the wines from winery, and they are not overpiced

The welcoming & the service from the front desk lady “Montes” was outstanding! The deluxe room had a very nice balcony with a magnificent view of the whole finca and the surroundings. Water & food bowls for our dog were placed in our room prior to our arrival. Great beds!

The tasting menu in the hotel’s restaurant didn’t match our expectations for a high standard hotel. The waiter was everything else than customer centric, and he even made the “mistake” to charge us for 3 menus when we were indeed only two. The shower in room 203 has no water pressure and needs maintenance.
