The valet parking was very convenient, with a simple QR code system to request your car when needed. The room itself was spacious, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed with a door connecting the bathroom to the bedroom closet. It was also exceptionally quiet, helped by the hallway doors that block noise from the lobby and by being tucked away at the end of the hall. The on-site Public restaurant was a great option for breakfast at a reasonable price, and the bar was perfect for a convenient nightcap. The hotel’s location made it easy to walk to some excellent nearby restaurants. Check-in was smooth, staff were friendly, and check-out was quick and simple. Overall, the combination of comfort, quiet, and convenience made for a pleasant stay.

For the price—nearly $1,000 for the stay—I was surprised to be placed on the first floor, and I would have appreciated being asked if that was acceptable during check-in. While the location of the room at the far end of the hallway turned out to be quiet, the view of a parking garage wasn’t appealing. The valet parking was $40 a day, which seemed high, though I’m not sure how that compares to other hotels in the area. Breakfast was decent but not memorable. None of these were deal-breakers, but for the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of room placement and overall dining quality.

The room was clean and fresh! Staff was so nice and the convenience to the restaurant on the ground floor was great.

Stayed on the 8th floor did not realize it was an obstructed view was bummed about that. The coffee creamer in room was curdled. I also hated that we paid $78 for breakfast that was very expensive and nothing to write home about. We did not end up using valet parking because of an event next door it was causing back up and traffic. I had to park on the street. We were not going to be waiting forever for valet. We wanted to get into the hotel and start relaxing.

The location of this property was perfect for my needs as I was taking the AMTRAK to NYC the next morning. The staff was very friendly and efficient and made me feel welcome. I had also taken them up on their suggestion to dine at their restaurant on the property and it was also a terrific experience.

The location was perfect for my needs but, the price was outrageous. But, to be fair, all of the hotels in the area were similarly priced. I am assuming that there must have been an event in the city on that night for which prices were raised across the board. I didn't feel great about paying this much for being in the building for less than 12 hours but, I didn't have much of a choice given my circumstances. And, for the price, I would have expected a robe & slippers and a bottle of water.

Our room was 104. At times loud as we were next to the elevators. We looked out on a roof and 2 air conditioning units. It was hard to get ice. I had to go to the 7th floor and retrieve my own ice. The refrigerator in the room was warm.

No working refrigerator in our room. Hard to get a cold bottle of soda. Even the bottles in the “refrigerator” in the tiny shop behind the front desk were warm. It was glass and full of bottles of water and soda, but when you reached inside to get one they were all warm. The inside of the “refrigerator” was warm. Ice was at least 1 or more floors away.

We were there to see "Another Tequila Sunrise" an Eagles Tribute Band at the VET. It was amazing! The hotel was right next door. It was freezing, so the short 5 second walk was great! We loved being close to the venue.

We tried to get something to eat in the pub/bar downstairs after the show. They were closing in 25 minutes and the waitress and host were not happy. The bar tender on the other hand made us feel welcome and wanted to know if we wanted to drinks.

The Renaissance is very close to the train station, feels generally fresh and clean and like the asthetics.

We came down for Pride and always forget it's an extra 15 min walk to get to the hotel from downtown and it can feel a bit removed. Our room felt like it needed a refresh—bathroom outlet was broken and the condition of the walls/doors were pretty beaten.

Our initial room had a broken shower and they promptly moved us to a very nice room and gave us priviledges for the Club level. The staff were all very nice. The hotel bar/restaurant was also excellent. The location is the key - walking distance both to Brown (college hill) and a quaint downtown area. Also the train station is less than a 5 minute walk with hourly express trains to Boston.

beautiful building. comfortable room. the bed was good although the pillows were extremely flat.. need a change. parking was available via valet only.

breakfast a la cart was average.. did not blow my mind. booked a room with a city view.. view was limited at best. door lock was given me trouble, and lastly the water pressure in the shower was not good enough… expected more.

Front desk held my keys hostage when my cc was locked and they couldn't process the payment. I didn't find this out until I was getting my car from the valet. Not a phone call or a text msg letting me know about it. It was so embarrassing. They authorized my card at check in but didn't finalize the payment until the next morning. They could of let me know prior to checking out.

The Providence Renasssance is very close to the Shopping Mall, 5 minutes walk. The rooms are excellent, large and comfortable. Staying here was an excellent experience. All the hotel staff served us very well and with great courtesy, we will certainly return.
