An incredible experience. Summer means green everywhere and wildflowers. Everything at the hotel was perfect with warm and attentive staff, beautiful and spacious suite with private outdoor onsen overlooking roaring stream, and unforgettable epic breakfasts and dinners made largely with local ingredients served in your private dining room. There is also a beautiful public area with expansive library, outdoor deck and foot spa and complimentary beverages including various wines and juices. This small hotel represents the best of Hokkaido. Finally, the location is somewhat isolated from Niseko proper, but there are nice hikes a few steps away and e-bikes to rent. We had a rental car which made life easier. The hotel arranged a great whitewater rafting trip for a full afternoon. Your Hokkaido trip must include at stay at this perfect small onsen hotel.Romantic

Full course kaiseki dinners were beyond expectation, and the complimentary wine selection was also excellent. Moki no sho was kind enough to substitute meat-based course menu for seafood-heavy menu, even without earlier notification on a customer's dietary preference. Would also give a ride whenever it was practically impossible to call a cab. Overall, a highly satisfying experience.

Niseko itself is not easy to reach--you need to transfer twice on train, and even upon arrival at the train station, you must either call a taxi or reserve a shuttle service from Moku no sho. But the ryokan service fully makes up for these downsides.

The onsen was amazing. The room had a massage chair. The complimentary drinks at night were perfect mixed with the jazz in the beautiful lounge or outside in the footpath. The food was fun and fancy and delicious. The sounds of the stream and the waterfall were the perfect ways to sleep.

We didn’t have a car and so had to get taxis to many places because it was remote - which was not ideal. It is pricey but feels absolutely worth it!

I loved the food, the set menu was superb, super high quality food— truly like japanese fine dining for every meal. The food was just great, i cannot emphasise this enough. I also loved how friendly the staff was, they were so polite and accomodating—really beyond customer service. The onsen was also the best Ive ever been to (as someone who visits Japan yearly in the winter). Great vibe overall, the mood of the lounge was nice and relaxing.

The breakfast and dinner were exceptional - beautiful ingredients, fantastic presentation, and absolutely delicious. We loved the decor of the entire property and the cozy jazz lounge with marshmallow roasting, sweet potatoes, and complimentary wine before dinner. The room was beautiful and the private bath on the balcony was so relaxing. Every aspect of our stay was absolutely perfect - this is truly a top tier hotel/resort experience with great attention to detail.

N/A - everything was about as perfect as it gets.

Absolutely outstanding and elegant. The multicourse Japanese dinner and breakfast included in the hotel were top notch and a real pleasure to enjoy before and after skiing. The onsen was immaculate and so refreshing, including two heated outdoor mini pools with warm water even during falling snow. Truly surreal and even though it's expensive, I'd say it's completely worth the price. Thank you for a lovely time!

Absolutely nothing.. I could not more strongly recommend this l lovely place.

Above average Ryokan located in quiet section of Niseko. Huge room with plenty of space to stretch out after skiing. Food is high quality and changes everyday. Public onsen is good size and quite relaxing looking at the forest. Private onsen in your room if you get that option is a must if you ski.

Shuttle bus to ski resort doesn’t leave until after the lifts open. The shuttle bus changes so can be confusing trying to catch it back to the hotel.

The Room is clean and well organized. This hotel pay attention on every details of the stuff we need. The breakfast and dinner is good as well. I stayed there for 2 days, both breakfast and dinner is included. These 4 meals in all amazing. They offered variety of food. Apart from the meal, they have afternoon tea and boiled potatoes serving us in the late afternoon. The taste of them is so nice.

The food is amazing, and the whole experience was great for us. Coming from Europe, it was a perfect place to experience Japan interior, food and lifestyle. Also, it is away from the crowds at Niseko, and very relaxing.

For the price, I would expect more cleanliness overall. Our bathroom and toilet were not perfectly clean, as well was the onsen not in the best shape. For a hotel in this price range, I would also expect the staff to speak some basic English to help with any requests. We really loved the food, but the cherry on top would have been to get a bit more context from the staff about Japanese food and it's custom to eat it.
