We've stayed here a few times and what we really like most of all is the staff, who are without exception wonderfully friendly and helpful. The downstairs rooms have a lovely seaside decor and are quiet and comfortable. Breakfast can be eaten in the dining room, or in an attached marquee with excellent ventilation - good for those of us who are vulnerable to covid. There is a great choice of food, and if anything runs out then a quick word to the serving staff and it is sorted within less than a minute. We try to stay here for at least some of the time whenever we visit family in Geesthacht.

We found that the shower ran rather too cool at times but a bit of patience and it picked up again.

The hotel is not so central but they offer accommodation and food and that is important for the travelers and in our case we needed it.

What is a bit sad is that people are still allowed to smoke in public places. It is not motivating to sit on patios

Got a large suite/family room as an unexpected bonus. Comfortable bed. Free parking. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast buffet.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on Mondays. Bad luck.... But other restaurants are available nearby, so not a big issue. I recommend the Indian restaurant, 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

It's a lovely hotel. The room was large, clean, and well-decorated. There was a decent amount of room in the bathroom for all our clutter and the shower was OK. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the tent that adjoins the dining room. (That was our choice; you can also eat in the dining room.) Our room (23) was downstairs and looked out onto a grassy bank. It was very quiet. The staff are what make it exceptional. They really are very friendly and obliging. The hotel is only five minutes walk from Geesthacht, where you can buy anything you need. It's a short bike ride down to the River Elbe, and we hired bikes from the Tourist Information and had a pleasant cycle ride along by the river.

Very good buffet breakfast. Comfortable room, good size, good shower. Friendly hosts. Nice decor and feel to the hotel.

Parking was busy and space not always available.

Breakfast was excellent. The service during the breakfast felt very nice. The room was very comfortable to stay, but felt a bit cramped. Restaurant at the hotel was amazing! I will stay here again for sure!

The room was very spacious. The bathroom was big and modern. Great shower! Breakfast was more than average.

The bed pillows could have been firmer.

We needed an overnight place to stay outside of Hamburg and this was a good option. You can park any size car outside easily. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable (one level down). Wi-Fi connection was good. Nice to have restaurant onsite to have dinner after a very long day of driving. The breakfast spread had a very good selection.

Clean and everybody helpful and friendly.

All the chairs were too low. The bed was also too low and the mattress was terrible.

It's quite a nice and decent hotel. The owner couple are all very friendly and kind. Everything was very well take care of. Highly recommend this hotel for others.
