Very good breakfast. A nice selection on the buffet table and eggs prepared to order. Very attentive staff. The hotel restaurant for dinner is highly rated and deserves the rating. The room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. A beautiful country site setting.

This facility is not suitable for guests that have a problem to climb steps. The rooms are located on the second or third floor without an elevator.

This was our favorite stay in Germany. You really feel part of the community here and the room was spotless and very comfortable and cozy. Our breakfast was really lovely and if you stay here you must have dinner as well - the food is exceptional!

There was a miscommunication as to the check out time - housekeeping was upset we were not yet out of the room, but all of the information we were given on Booking.com and in the brochure in our room said an hour later. We showed the brochure and were able to checkout soon after, but it was a bit awkward!

Location is just perfect, staf was very friendly, the hotel was very clean and good maintained. There was communication before arriving at the place which is very important.

There was no possibility to make tea/coffee in the room, and I had a hard time sleeping on that big pillow. And in the day of arrival the Google Map took me to Obertal 12 and no further. I had to ask the owner of that house where is Obertal 20.

This Black Forest guesthouse was one of the most magical places we've ever stayed at! Still family-owned, we quickly met each hard-working, amicable member of the Fleig family and the employees who keep Gasthaus Staude running smoothly. We travel quite a bit and can't recommend Gasthaus Staude enough! Our room came with a free KONUS guest card, which was valid as a free travel ticket for buses and trains in the Black Forest holiday region. It also gave us free access to Triberg Wasserfall and other nearby sights. Fantastic value! The Gasthaus was perfectly located as we conveniently visited Triberg Wasserfall, Triberg, the Black Forest Open Air Museum, all of the famous Cuckoo clock attractions, etc. Mr. Rolf Fleig, the father, runs the world-class restaurant. As a foodie family, we were ecstatic and blown away! Fresh venison, trout, mushrooms, spätzle, and more were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the Black Forest Cake, which originated in this region known for its cherries and kirschwasser. Rooms came with a generous buffet breakfast and we loved the food/atmosphere/service so much, we took every other meal there too while in the Triberg area. We made reservations early, before our trip, because the restaurant is so popular with Baden-Württemberg locals. The pack n' play we requested for our 2 year old was set up when we arrived. Recommendations, and even umbrellas, are easily available to guests. There's a playground that the kids (2 and 6 years old) loved. Parking was easy. Rooms are renovated and comfortable. We knew little German (just the basics) but had no issues with language barriers. The forested and pastoral hills around the guesthouse are gorgeous. Guests can visit farm stores and chat with the farmers. From what I understand, Germans are often sent to areas like this by their doctors when they're in need of relaxation and recuperation. It wasn't hard to see why.

I never expected a hotel like this in the Black Forest to have such spectacular tasting food, but it did. The presentation was out of this world and the taste fantastic. I would highly recommend this place.

Breakfast was great! Owner was so nice and invitive (also the cook :) ), room was beautiful, bed was comfortable, area is beautiful.

In the room there was a bit problem to block the daylight from penetrating in, through two small triangular windows that were unable to cover, no blinds on them at all.

Everything.They upgraded the room which was a nice surprise with no extra costs.Wonderful staff team, amazing food.Would definitely come back next year.

We booked this last minute not really sure what to expect, but WOW did it exceed our expectations. Exceptional, renovated room, delicious restaurant and breakfast, in the most serene and peaceful location. The staff were friendly and so easy to communicate with as well, we really felt like we were treated like royalty. We could’ve stayed for a week or more!

No A/C but they had a fan and it wasn’t a big problem. :)

Room is nice and balcony quite big. Breakfast very good. Restaurant food and workers also amazing. Location is perfect for relax and hiking.

Personal opinion: I hate those huge pillows. Wifi signal is not arriving well to last rooms of the corridor.
