Marine 5 is an intimate, homely establishment run by a very efficient manager, Reggie. Reggie is the heart and soul of this boutique hotel. We were welcomed warmly and given a tour of the home. Not only is Reggie the manager, he is also the chef who provided us with the most delicious meals. We booked the king suite which had huge glass windows with a panoramic view of the ocean. One could even smell the ocean when the door leading to balcony was open , that's how close the hotel is to the ocean. We were lulled to sleep at night by the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. One can capture the perfect sunset while sitting on the balcony. Definitely food for the soul and a good dose of much needed vitamin sea The suite was comfortable with a king size bed fitted with crisp white linen. The room has a leather lounge suite , tea and coffee station , bar fridge and TV. There is more than enough lighting available. Upon entering the bathroom area , one walks through a dressing room with ample cupboard space. The bathroom is modern, spacious and very clean. A real treat is the jacuzzi style bath. .

We had the king suite, which is enourmous and has the best view on the bay with a lot of windows. The pictures don't do it justice. We also had Christmas dinner with amazing food and a good breakfast. The small indoor poor is also nice to just relax after arriving in the evening before dinner, especially in warm days. The place seems to be a personal home but also used for a hotel. So you have the extras people would only get for their own home like a nice bath, more cosy and comfortable rooms and just better quality.

It's a bit further away from places. It doesn't have a garden or outdoor pool.

Beautiful location with sea views and a short walk down the the water. The check in was very simple as we were welcomed by Reggie who had prepared a warm fire for us. Reggie made our stay absolutely wonderful catering to our every need and providing us with delicious food. The room was spacious and the bath was so comfortable. It was a perfect place to just wind down and relax and celebrate our anniversary. We also loved meeting the 2 gorgeous kitty cats that stay there.

Breakfast was exceptional. Reggie, our host was extremely accommodating and very friendly. Waking up to breathtaking views was the highlight of our trip. Food was good, bed very comfy and just perfect for a relaxing break away.

I would have liked to be informed that there were pets living in the hotel. I am allergic to cats and there were two cats, so had to be on meds for that weekend. Reggie was very accommodating though, while we ate in the main space, he put the cats away. Place was a little dusty, but also don't blame him, he has so much to do.

Awesome view from the room. Good dinners and breakfasts made by Redgie(sorry if I miswrite a name). Overall mood of the property is also very nice. Very comfortable beds and pillows, our best sleep within the whole trip. Definetely stay again.

very poor internet speed at the property. you almost cannot use it, as speed is too low maybe add something as desert on breakfast: you have a coffee but there is nothing to take with it.(this is written just as a suggestion)

The location was just perfect—next to the beach. I enjoyed the sea view from the room and the fresh seabreeze coming when you open the windows in the room. The warm welcome, excellent service, and the daily breakfasts and dinner qualities were of the highest level. I would definitely recommend the venue to all the people looking for relaxation nearer the beach. I would definitely like to go back there again.

It was teh location and the sea view that attracted us to this place. The view did not disappoint (despite having to experience a severe storm there). The food was good and Reggie was extremely helpful, especially as the weather had deteriorated. He is a real boon to the property. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and we would happily return there,

There were a few niggles where perhaps a little TLC would help. Key for us was that the seals of the opening lights had aged, so during the storm water was blown against the windows and dripped inside. Reggie was very quick to get extra towels to soak this up. Clearly the storm was an extreme event and couldn't have been anticipated

Reggie was just brilliant, we felt so well looked after and he cooked an exceptional meal. The view from the room was just breathtaking and sitting there looking at the bay on a lovely hot day was very special.

Not much! If it was me I would get ride of the TV stand in the middle of the room as it was just unnecessarily. Bear in mind there is little to walk to, such as bars or restaurants but can’t see why you would want to leave the accommodation.

Very easy to find location with safe parking space. Wonderful host, great view from the room, where we saw our first whale swimming by in the first ten minutes. The host cooked a lovely meal for us, that we enjoyed in the beautifully styled living area. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a great surprise, hidden in the closet! We would go here any time, as it was so close to the whalewatching shores at The Kelders. Where we saw at least 15 Southern Right Whales in two hours. Best experience ever.

The meals were excellent The advert was slightly misleading in that we thought all rooms would have views like the one in the picture You could either have a big window with no balcony or small window and small balcony if you did not choose the king size room

The balcony/view was not what we thought we had booked as per pictures advertised We had to pay for drinks at dinner,as this was not included even though it said full board It was more a bed n breakfast than a hotel
