It was a great location. Beautiful grounds and swimming pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The internet was very poor. We were in rooms in 3 different locations on the property and the internet was spotty in all rooms. Even though breakfast was included with our stay. We were charged 10.00 for a glass of juice. We were told when we checked out that juice was not included in your breakfast. Even though we had not been told earlier.

Beautiful property surrounded by lush tropical jungle and a quick walk to the beach ache street. We saw monkeys, a sloth (right outside our room), birds, butterflies, and gorgeous flowers during our stay. Breakfast buffet had a large selection of food and was delicious. Great coffee.

WiFi was poor. Constantly disconnecting

The location is ideal, nestled in the heart of the jungle, just a short distance from the beach and not far from Puerto Viejo, where you can enjoy nightlife and explore the local artisan market.

The rooms are spacious but could use some updates to match the price standard. There’s no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries, no proper cabinet for clothes—just three small shelves—no space to open luggage, and other small details that I would expect from a high-end hotel at this price point. Additionally, the rooms lack proper curtains, making it difficult to keep the room dark in the morning.

Everything! The resort is set in a lush jungle setting, we loved hearing the howler monkeys in the morning. We saw monkeys, sloths, agoutis, hummingbirds etc all on the property. Our hut was very quiet and super comfortable. The resort feels like a small intimate resort, yet it offers so much. From morning yoga to free salsa classes to Aqua Zumba. The food is amazing, we can highly recommend the on-site restaurant. The beach in front of the property is not properly swimmable due to rip currents, but it is stunning and we had fun in the waves. There’s a surf school next door too. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

We really liked the location direct at the viby beach. That was itself a big plus. Our bungalow was nicely located, privat and up to date. The pool area is very nice.

In general the resort is a bit 'rustical' in maintaining. 3 stars it is. I believe we where lucky with our room/bungalow because it looks not every option has the same level. Prices are pretty high but i believe that is Costa Rica and the location so close (only cross the street) of this popular beach. Bed was really squecky in our room.

I loved the jungle effect there were sloths and agouties and poisonous dart frogs at the hotel. The pool was great and warm. Very refreshing after a hot day. Free breakfast was nice as well. There are restaurant options around and the beach across the street was beautiful except not very swimmable. Red flags the whole time.

The staff wasn't the friendliest and really seemed like they didn't want to be there. It became frustrating at times. The restaurants food wasn't the best. We booked a 2 bedroom ocean front room except it was just a little tiny piece you could see through the trees. Also it's very loud with the street noise. And the bed itself was hard,. It felt like sleeping on concrete. The rooms were a little old but did the job. They were super dark though I couldn't see myself in the bathroom.

Loved the rainforest setting of the hotel grounds, pretty immersed in the nature and saw many green arrow frogs and other animals. The hotel reception staff were always helpful in any questions about booking tours and calling for taxis/ tuktuks. The bungalow (25) was nice and spacious although I had to relocate the fridge to find a plug outlet for it. Loved the pool and the breakfast was tasty, just cover your glasses with a saucer. All in all we enjoyed our stay here, wish we could have stayed longer.

Don’t think there is anything that stands out that much.

I was a bit concerned considering the reviews but we booked the jungle house and were more than satisfied with the accommodation ant the whole setup of the hotel. Everything from checkin (very friendly Daniel from Switzerland/Germany/Italy - if I recall it correctly) But also his colleague, both were very helpful also with the advise for medical help when we needed it. Accommodation was spotless clean - yes, not perfectly maintained in all circumstances but hey, we are talking about nature surroundings and high humidity. Everything, from AC to bathroom amenities, shower, water pressure, fully equipped kitchen (we only used the fridge as the food in the restaurant at the location and directly in front of the hotel is just delicious) was in topnotch condition. The fact that the walls need a little bit paint here and there does not really matter to us. The service at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was ok-friendly, yes apart from the egg chief not overwhelmingly friendly but far away from ignorant or even rude. The breakfast had everything you could ask for - many hot choices as well as homemade granola along with many fresh fruits and - as mentioned before a very friendly and experienced egg chef, who really deserves a special applause. The whole set up with the wonderful jungle and wildlife (frog, agutis, birds, sloths- unfortunately no monkeys, when we visitedI) delivered an unforgettable stay. Parking and security was perfect as well. I understand that the general apartments were a bit more simple but they are also much cheaper in price. No need to book seaview, as the street and trees are in the way. And yes, there was a strange smell at the exit door - but its the dry season, maybe this is the reason.

We really loved everything. But understand that we were blessed with our jungle house at the back of the property.

Very good hotel, really beautiful swimming pool. We spent our last days of Costa Rica here and it was so relaxing! Also the staff was very friendly! Especially Jose Maria , he was really nice and friendly. The location of the hotel was perfect. Right next to the beach and you can rent a bike to go to Puerto Viejo. We saw many animals (birds, sloths, frogs) around the hotel as it's beautifully surrounded by jungle. The restaurant is very good as well! All in all a perfect hotel to relax.

Drinks are a bit expensive

Beautiful Setting in the middle of the rainforest. We saw lots of animals on the grounds (sloths, monkeys, colorful frogs, toucans, …) and just loved our walks. The pool is fantastic as well and we all loved the breakfast with a large selection and a fresh egg station. Overall a super relaxing vacation week for the whole family!

The rooms are a bit dated and dark - yet kept spotlessly clean by the really really good daily housekeeping. Still a little improvement point to a 10/10 for us
