We selected this accommodation site because it was approximately 90 minutes from Lisbon airport. After an overnight flight from Canada and needing rest while heading to southern Portugal, it was both a perfect introduction and respite. Our host was most accommodating, informative and helpful as was his staff person. Excellent breakfasts with fresh oranges (and juice) right from the trees outside. Located close to the town of Ferreira yet away from the main highway, this location was peaceful yet urban services were available if needed including a few good restaurants. This is a rural property which for us was an advantage.

We liked everything.

This was a lovely rural setting just outside the town. Jose Luis and Sandra are super hosts and go above and beyond to help their guests. A place where you can relax after a long days drive in peace and safety knowing your hosts will go out of their way to look after you. In summer that pool will be very popular and the stay could easily become longer which we would recommend. Parking no problem and just a few minutes drive to town for an evening meal. Thank you Jose Luise and Sandra for your kindness.

Nothing EVERYTHING WAS GREAT.

Perfect place to stay for a night going from Algarve to Lisbon and get an opportunity to know the non-touristic, provincial environment of Portugal. While traveling towards this place you will admire the huge plantations of olive trees, vineyards and other local cultures, it broadens the horizon. Monte da Floresta it is a great country house, the structure perfectly reflects the Portuguese style. The house and its surroundings are well maintained and well-kept. Inside the house and in the rooms, there are antique furniture and things that match the surroundings perfectly, they are in excellent condition. The host is very hospitable and helpful. There is enough space in the room, a comfortable bed, a large bathroom, the air conditioner works well. Good breakfast in the morning, free parking place for a car.

Jose is a wonderful host who loves what he is doing and loves his guests. His house is not chic, but very cozy, warm and unique. If you want to feel the life of rural village - this is the best place you can find. Everything, starting from the beautiful garden, a pool, two floors terrace, mini zoo, is done with love to nature. Very good place for staying with small kids. And breakfast was unique as well: own eggs, fresh bread, organic fruits, local meats - any person would find something awesome for him. I recommend this place for staying at least for several days to enjoy everything it can offer.

This will stand out as the most memorable place we stayed in Portugal. Beautiful garden. Our host was exceedingly personable. It was like being invited into a Portuguese couple's home.

Our GPS didn't know about the road to the accommodations. It took a few minutes to navigate the last km. Blame the GPS company!

Country charm . Unfortunately lot of rain during our short stay. Got stuck when took wrong turn on road and owner Jose and his friend pulled us out next day. Very grateful for their kindness for which they refused to be financially compensated . Hope to return to this wonderful country site with beautiful scenery .

The building is perfectly decorated with a lot of taste and super clean. The room i stayed in was big and had all we needed. The garden has a beautiful pool and a lot of space with plants and trees all around and pretty cats as well. But more than anything the owner is a really good host. He welcomed us very warmly and made us feel comfortable since the moment we arrived. He took care of us, gave us tips about places to eat, where to buy olive oil, which winery to go to and at the end he also gave us some fresh eggs from his yard. The breakfast was very good as well. Ah and we could take our dog as well. The place is beautiful and perfect to relax and enjoy the surrounding areas.

The weather as it was a bit rainy but of course this isn't nobody's fault.

The kindness and hospitality of José Luis are exceptional. I had the most wonderful, relaxing and hartwarming experience. The views, the breakfast, the rooms, everything was perfect. I stayed 3 nights, but I could have easily spend an entire week at Monte da Floresta

I could imagine that if you had to share the bed it would be a small bed. But I travelled alone, so it was perfect for me.

Everything! This is probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Exceptional. The welcome was lovely. We had cycled there and they offered to wash our kit too, which was amazing. Then they brought out a big bowl of watermelon to eat by the pool. Breakfast was superb. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Everything was perfect: room was comfortable and clean, parking is available, the house is dog friendly and the owner is very nice. There is pool and amazing garden - we didn't use it, but it looks great. The breakfast was delicious: with homemade bakery, cheese, ham, eggs. 10/10!
