1.Loved the architecture 2.loved the courtyard and the vibes there 3. The staff were wonderful especially the front desk lady (I’m sorry I forgot her name) she was there on the 9/04/25. She made me and my family (two small dogs) feel so comfortable and at home. She gave us amazing local recommendations for dinner. And just her attitude was amazing. Thank you 4. The room was spacious and the view was wonderful. 5. Wish I stayed more. But that 1 day was enough for me to come back again 6. Parking is free and it’s safe, gated and everything.. plus there’s a police station literally next door.

Nothing, everything was up to par

The historic building has been beautifully adapted. We were amazed by it's size and grandeur. Dinner was fine and we enjoyed chatting to the young waiter who spoke excellent English and made us feel welcome

The very noisy trolley that crossed the dining several times. The handles on the bedroom and bathroom doors that got in the way when the locks were turned. The lack of information about the history of the convent - a booklet, or at least a leaflet, in every room would be of great interest to most visitors

The hotel is very well located in the center of Beja. It is a refurbished old monastery, very nice building. The rooms are huge and the breakfast is good. The reception people are very friendly. They have a very nice swimming pool, which we did not use. The bathroom is quite good.

The air conditioning did not work at all. The reception people tried to help, but they were not successful.The challenge for a hotel with high walls is how to cool it in hot days in summer. At one point hot air was being blown in our room. The windows are quite small and there are few connectors. This is the price you pay to book a hotel in a historical building.

Incredible building, so atmospheric.It was very comfortable, everything was presented well.The room was lovely, the beds , the bathroom, special soap! Very warm and cosy.The breakfast was varied and interesting, high quality products.The staff attentive and pleasant.Will definitely stay there again! Parking on site, safe and secure .Complimentary water provided.

We liked everything! It was heavenly!

The Posada is in a lovely building which was originally a 16th century convent. The cool cloisters are still there and a small chapel as are the high ceilinged rooms. Some of these rooms have been deliberately left only partly furnished, recalling their previous use and providing a welcoming cool areas in contrast to the summer heat outside! There are extensive gardens and huge ivy covered trellises, particularly around the pool area, again providing a retreat from the sun! The room was pleasant and the marbled bathroom large. We had dinner on the terrace each evening, with subtle lighting contributing to the romantic atmosphere. The buffet breakfast is excellent.

The dinner menu is rather limited so that it was a shame when some items were unavailable. The large, square swimming pool has been created using a plastic liner and the underlying ground was very uneven producing areas that were too shallow to swim in. Rom

The room was very nice and confortable, just needed to adjust the cabinet door and repair the hair dryer base station. No complains regarding the breakfast quality, at least for me. The staff was kind and polite.

Not much to say, need to do a little bit of maintenance in the room. But overall nothing to complain about

Evening menu. We were with 2 friends and none of us keen on the menu. It was exactly the same both nights we stayed. Also my husband had a piece of hard , sharp , pointed plastic in his mushrooms. We told waiting staff , but no apology from restaurant manager/ manager.It could have been extremely dangerous if he had not noticed and had put in his mouth. Beds too hard.

What a fascinating historic building - a converted convent/abbey, complete with cloisters and chapel. Comfortable room and secure parking. We had a delicious dinner, (despite being the only diners) and a good breakfast. Being winter, it was very quiet (only two rooms booked in the whole place, as far as we could tell), which gave it a slightly surreal feeling, which I'm sure would not be the case when busy and bustling and the gardens are in full bloom.

Beja, as a town, is pretty run down and, as one shop owner said to me "c'est pauvre et triste" (it's poor and sad) but it's important to see 'real life' away from the glitz of the cities and the coast.

Beautifully restored convent building, peaceful grounds and a large pool. Just right for us having a one night stopover on a cycle trip from Malaga to Lisbon. Friendly staff, great food, for evening meal and a substantial breakfast. Comfy quiet rooms, with good en-suites . Thanks for a lovely stay, and the complimentary glass of Port on arrival was a nice touch 😀

Breakfast was generous with a wide variety of food in a pleasant atmosphere. We also had a delicious dinner and wine with fine service. It was fine. It’s a large property with a lovely swimming pool. The environment is clean and well-kept with a little chapel. The furnishings are simple and the overall look spare.
