Awesome pancakes, thanks! Great shared spaces - wet areas cleaned regularly. Helpful staff - nice feel to the place overall. Location is excellent.

Some soap dispensers in the showers would've been a nice addition. Room 5 had a tricky door lock, but easy once you got the hang of it. The window in that room would rattle in the wind, so needed to stay closed unfortunately. Couldn't find cutlery, crockery or mugs/glasses in the kitchen. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough!

The superior and delux room are nice, the bed are ok, blanket are warm, room are big enough. Fits what it says as backpacker room. Good last minnute stay. Was warried after reading review but the guy are nice and undertandable with us bringing kids

Old floor so easily creak and disturb other ppl. The window cant shut properly especialy tonight so windy but we had great time and feel asleep after 10 min you wouldnt care after long drive.

Pancakes for breakfast with coffee or tea very good it’s a very busy place but still friendly. The Kitchen facilities were good and common room/dining room were relaxing. Outside there are picnic tables and a bbq. A very pleasant place to sit in the evening on a hot day.

Bathrooms were cleaned and restocked twice a day but deep cleaning of the grout in the showers would be nice.

The staff is so friendly and kind I vamped into them in a tourist spot, they remembered my face and talked to me. I was impressed because normally they can’t remember customers. I asked them and they said “ we try to remember everyone even it’s a short stay “ And also they recommended some beautiful place near there. I will come back when I visit in Albany.

I love the Manager Abe he is one amazing guy who knows exactly what u need. I arrived to Albany after a 4.5hr drive, found the backpackers lodge parked car and tyre blew. Abe heard it in my voice I was stressing as I had a film to shoot early the very next day. He made my stay comfortable, he’s easy to talk to, he’s one approachable manager who cares about his backpackers!

It was very well managed and clean. The best hostel I've ever been to. The breakfast pancakes are delicious and this is a hostel with the best service. The staff are very friendly and everyone loves this hostel. I’ll definitely stay here again when I go to Albany. And the cat was really cute. Thank you!!

Huge heritage building ,very spacious quiet and clean . Absolute beautiful regular souls ,that stay there ,for close to work reasons , big families of strong honest guys with hearts of gold ,giving a great sense of security. Jarrah flooring throughout, but made a very quiet by means of colourful carpet tiles,very clever decor ,someone with great personality has put alot of effort into decorating this massive building ,literally minutes walk to town centre and the awesome Princess royal harbour. Great shower pressures in very clean sanitary bathrooms consisting of plenty of showers and toilets 🚻 upstairs and downstairs . Has every amenitie possible, huge pool tables , kitchens laundry facilities, list goes on . The most friendly kind hearted , interesting staff and staying travellers make this place worth every second of your time spent wonderful, very great price "unbelievably ly cheap prices for an experience in the most amazing historical built building, very quiet and respectful ,did not ever hear a single noise after 10pm Will be returning for a much longer stay in very tidy clean rooms with heaters high ceilings and the most comfortable beds and linen I have ever experienced, had the best night sleeps ever . This place has an amazing feel and spacious comfort, that will blow your mind .I want to stay there forever and the prices can definitely make that possible. Have to see to believe. Hidden away right in town. At first look, the large parking area is hard sand ,giving a false impression of this wonderful property, but once you enter the building you can see All the hard work professionals have put in to maintain this place ,which happens to be the 2nd oldest building in Albany. Can't fault anything at all . LOVED IT ,was charged only $130 3 nights in a peaceful double room WOW don't know how they do it .A definite must for travellers, to visit and experience Can't wait to return 😀

The front carpark area could do with a large garden making it more inviting ,to give the amazing building the justice it deserves 👏

I don't understand how this place has less than 10 stars. We were welcomed by Riccardo, who was very friendly throughout our stay. Room was simple but comfortable. Bathrooms were always clean. The pancakes in the morning were amazing, congrats to the chef! We loved this place and would stay here again!

It has baths! : If I had more time I would have had a soak. Lovely reception man and complimentary pancakes at breakfast on Tuesday? Fantastic!
