Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. Loved the pool and we managed to find a little spot in the garden we could sit in for refreshments in the afternoon despite the building work going on. In the evening after returning from town we all gathered in a little room off the reception area for a nightcap which was very nice indeed

Will have to come back when work is finished, the sauna was out of action making the 'Spa' only a swimming pool really albeit a nice one. There was some noise earlier than we were told the work would start and some of the pathways around hotel to garden areas were blocked off.

Location, but needs a car. Trees and wildlife. Huge indoor pool. Relaxed. Friendly staff most of the time quiet inside and out. Clean.

Restaurant facilities on site, not as website suggests, it needs updating. ( apparently ownership changed over a year ago ) Obviously built as a quality hotel but now needs a makeover. Pool changing rooms very old and tired. Road outside can be noisy with vehicles going into and from golf course ( private road )

Everything was good

Did not have the time to take advantage of the pool or steam room. Breakfast spread was simple but good, plenty of variety...especially if you like baked goods! The cleaning staff and lady running the breakfast table were very kind and attentive to my needs.

Ants in my room that got into my luggage/clothing...but it was raining and i suspect food may have been brought into the room by a former occupant to attract them?

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful and accommodating our electric bikes storage ( thats why we chose to stay here, not for golf!)The breakfast buffet had a huge range and was delicious. Rooms were clean.

When having a shower it flooded the bathroom floor. Easy to mop up but annoying. The location is a little bit far from town (but we knew this when we booked)

The quietness of the overall atmosphere. induces a peaceful and stress free stay.

Not much. Some of the wooden panels on the corridor ceiling were in need of replacement. The showers in the bathroom could also be updated.

Great value. Excellent, helpful staff. Not the greatest golf course - but its character made up for that. Great wildlife around.

Was hard to find in my sat nav ! If sat nav takes you on the back roads - reroute & get back on the main track !!

I was so glad to be able to use the pool. Lovely and you get towels to use for the pool, breakfast was good too. Parking underground and then a lift to the room.
