They don’t make hotels like this anymore. You can get rooms on the outside of the complex, i.e. with close access to the parking lot for convenience. Or you can get rooms facing to the central core with views of the wonderful lawn, shade trees, bar-b-que, and swimming pool. Lovely! Definitely NOT one of the sterile modern hotels so common now! Complimentary breakfast is good and the usual waitress is a delight. Dinner in the Mexican restaurant is excellent. Get the guacamole made tableside!

Easy access to the freeway, very convenient for meals, gas stations and plenty of parking.

I’ve never had any issues when I stay at this location!, this is an older hotel but very well maintained, the people are always friendly and welcoming and the restaurant at the hotel is wonderful, the menu choices are numerous and food is great, having breakfast options to order off a menu is fantastic, absolutely the best breakfast choices ever,

Room was clean / neat, well equipped (larger than average fridge, microwave, towels, etc.). Staff ungraded us to in interior/courtyard facing room which was cooler, quieter and nicer view. While I thought we might, we did not hear trains (or traffic), so it was a restful night. Restaurant was nice for dinner, excellent for breakfast (choice of sever full home cooked meals, not just a dry good buffet). AC worked well (it was a hot day).

Nothing I can really think of.

There's a terrific Mexican restaurant -- Los Domingos -- on the premises. The facilities are clean and comfortable if a bit dated, and include a very pleasant large grass courtyard with many trees and seating areas. I regret we didn't have the chance to take advantage of them. Ample parking immediately adjoining our room. Breakfast -- included in the room rate -- was served in Los Domingo and was a step above the buffets provided by comparable hotels. And the rate was very reasonable.

Chose this hotel, specifically, because of the attached "Los Domingos Mexican Restaurant" that I enjoyed after staying in Barstow previously. We appreciated the mostly quiet hotel room toward back of the property. We had a 2nd-floor room. I forgot night-lights that I usually bring along in my travels. I asked the staff if by chance another guest had left one behind that we could use. She took the time to check in back and found one that someone left behind recently! The bed was extremely comfortable. The property has a great location right off the freeway and yet far enough away from any freeway noise. This was a big plus. The included "morning breakfast-to order" was great. Luckily, I happened to stop at the desk to inquire about the breakfast when the woman at the Reception Desk mentioned I needed a room confirmation paper to give wait-staff. (I didn't happen to notice that mention in our check-in info) There is an Outlet Mall about 6 miles south of Barstow proper.

I am a light sleeper so early A.M. trash pick-up woke me, briefly (our room being in back of the property). There is no elevator to reach upper floor. Neither mention would change our mind about returning or referring the hotel to another potential guest. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We love this place. You can choose an “outer” room with easiest access to your parked car. Or you can choose an “inner” room that faces the shaded, green lawn central area with the pool and benches. A very good Mexican restaurant serves up great dinners but also complimentary breakfasts. We stay here 4 nights a year on trips to and from California. Oh, and the mattresses are very comfortable.

The breakfast did not accommodate special diets. That was a problem. I eat a special diet imposed by my doctor. There was no breakfast that I could have without putting together two or more breakfasts. That should not be.

The breakfast options. They did not accommodate doctors ordered diets for someone who eat whole food plant based no sugar no oil and no salt. I eat oats and fruit for breakfast.

What's not to like about this hotel I stay there anytime I'm passing through. The staff is fantastic, from the gals at the front desk, the housekeeping staff, waitresses and bartenders very professional and happy. The food is fantastic, seafood, steaks (porterhouse my favorite)and great Mexican food. complimentary breakfast that you pick off the menu and get served right at your table by great waitresses.

Convenient location, easy to find, easy parking, easy check in and out. The room was nicely big with a comfortable bed, two chairs and plenty of countertop space, with a mini fridge and a microwave. Los Domingos Mexican restaurant for a great dinner and included breakfast was a bonus

There was no fan and no window in the bathroom and we could hear the water running from the bathroom above us. But it was quiet at night

We stayed in 118 it’s an inside room facing the courtyard and pool, seems to be a little cooler and super quiet, no road noise or 2nd floor. Wonderful restaurant on site with a huge menu and friendly staff, don’t be put off because it’s a Mexican restaurant, they serve all kinds of food, but the Mexican food was wonderful.

It’s an old property but management has done a great job !
