Extremely clean, comfortable rooms... Right over a noisy pub. This is one of the cleanest hotels I have visited in a while - everything was pristine 😊 (since we have a crawling baby, we tend to notice the quantity of dust in the corners and carpet). Breakfast was pretty good; most of the hotel staff was helpful.

The guy who checked us in decided to put us in a room right over a pub open late, despite our request (made months ago) for a quiet room. Staff who came in late apologized and acknowledged they should have put us in a room over the inner courtyard.

Everything. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, rooms were clean. Need to sort out a way to stop the water from seeping out of the shower into the bathroom floor. Lack of common sense on how the shower assembly was installed, as such, leaving little room for manoeuvring!

Waiting crew, very young though not sharp enough during breakfast time, used plates were building up on our table and we had to remove them three times to make room, although only two tables were occupied. Again it’s the attitude that brings the score down, in detrimental to their other colleagues who strived with everything else during our stay.

We had a fantastic three-night stay at Grand Hotel Traian. The breakfast was a real highlight, offering a great variety of delicious options (including a local version of the full English) that set us up perfectly for the day. Our room was spacious and comfortable, giving us plenty of room to relax after exploring the city. The hotel's location is also excellent, with easy access to local attractions (including restaurants) and amenities. Overall, Hotel Traian provided a wonderful experience, and we would definitely stay here again.

The only downside of our stay was the loud music outside our window, which continued until 11 p.m. each night. It made it a bit difficult to unwind in the evenings, but fortunately, it quieted down later, allowing us to get a good night's sleep.

The hotel is near the centre of the town.

The parking space is very small comparing with the number of rooms. I tried to park in the parking area which is in the front of the hotel and I cound't find any free parking space. I asked the staff of the hotel for a solution and they suggested to park in the front of the hotel, blocking all the other cars. I couldn't approve such a solution so I had to park in a public parking area which is on the other side of the street, and I walked with the suitcases to the hotel.

The location is very good, close to cafes, restaurants, business centers and a nice walking area. The rooms are cute and comfortable, the staff is very professional and helpful, the breakfast was wonderful and never so busy you couldn't find a table.

I booked a room with inner courtyard view and received one with a view to P-ta Unirii. The view was very nice but when the trams started running, at around 5 am, there would be a lot of noise and vibration, I couldn't sleep after that.I asked for another room and received one with "'inner courtyard view", do note this is no courtyard, you will see all the pipes from the hotel system, but it is less noisy.If you sleep lightly, I suggest you request a room with view to the pedestrian street (Lăpușneanu), not sure how quiet it is though...

Nothing everything was perfect

Great location, central and not far from the train station. Good transport links with trams etc also. Some staff were very helpful, others felt a little "judgy". I guess I'm not the typical clientele. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Evening meals taken in the restaurant were also very good. Having read other reviews I was worried about tram noise (especially as I was in a room in the front of the hotel) but I slept very well both nights. I would stay again.

Given the size of the hotel and number of stars it would be useful if they offered a laundry service at the weekend also.

The room was very beautiful and showed that the hotel was recently renovated and very well maintained. The staff was also very nice and friendly as well as helpful with luggage and assisting with an early check-in. The breakfast was nice with a few specific Romanian and regional dishes like sweet cheese, jams or meats. The location is perfect as you are right in the middle of the city and equal distance from the main site - the Palace of Culture at one end and the Copou area at the other end. There are also nice vibey coffee shops around.

The only slight thing is the shower design - you have to be a bit careful as the water from the shower can easily go into the rest of the bathroom.

Wonderful old fashioned “grand” hotel. Central. Breakfasts were strange but adequate. As Romanians don’t seem to “do” health and safety the fact that there is an approach to the entrance of approximately 20 steep steps with no handrail is a major negative and a real issue for anyone disabled ( I am). Similar situation inside - no handrails alongside internal steps. This hotel is not alone. Several restaurants visited had similar issues with, for example, no handrails or banisters alongside steps!

Truly a Grand Hotel! Everything was perfect. Location close to main sights but quiet at the same time. Staff is exceptionally kind, they went above and beyond to make my family feel at home. My little nephew needed medication and the reception staff went to the pharmacy to pick it up then brought it to the room, simply amazing! I could easily communicate with the hotel weeks in advance, to arrange for my stay, and I wish I would have stayed longer. Room was impeccable and breakfast well diversified and tasty. The city center is beautiful and full of history. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will stay again when in Iasi next time.
