All the staff in the hotel were exceptional everyone was so helpful and polite throughout the stay. The food was amazing and there was a really good selection for both breakfast and dinner. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a very clean and comfortable bed. The linens were of good quality and the towels were of good quality also. The water pressure in the shower was lovely and the there was always hot water. The trees around the hotel and the green spaces are well manicured. The carpark is very spacious.

Grounds were not as vast as expected but beautiful and well kept all the same. The hotel was over all very clean linen, carpets and bathroom wise but there were a few cobwebs, dirty windows (a little cracked) and a very dusty extractor fan in the bathroom. There are places around the hotel where the paint could be touched up and windows fixed. The TV was very basic with the remotes very hit and miss as to whether or not they would work. A few small fixes could being the hotel up to 5 star.

Booked this hotel due to the location of the Game of Thrones studio tour. Everything was spot on and as we finished our tour a little earlier I requested an earlier check in which was authorised immediately. Room was beautiful and the location wasn't bad. A short walk into town for a mooch and a pint and in the morning we had a nice walk through Solitude park. Note..if you go at dusk or Dawn you may see some otters (sadly we didn't see any). Chose to have our evening meal there, was very quick and efficient and both meals were delicious. The breakfast was nice and hot too. Only issue is I didn't have room for it 😄. Staff are very friendly they generally just keep to themselves but they are very helpful if needed. All in all a great stay!! Would go again.

To be honest the only thing I wish I'd done is tell them it was our anniversary might have got a room upgrade 😅 but other than that nothing to complain about.

You had to be stronger than I am to push open the window; the lack of double glazing is energy-inefficient and a drawback when weather is either hot or very cold

The property is amazing and very period, I bet it has an amazing history. The room was above and beyond your average chain hotel.

It’s was obvious the property is struggling for guests, the breakfast was served by the same guy who was mopping the floor the night before. The toast served was mouldy and the offering of cereal is a packet on the plate was a little off putting. I wasn’t given a menu and there is no buffet style choice to select. Breakfast offing was poor.

Lovely little boutique style hotel. Very clean and bright. The food at breakfast was some of the best I’ve tasted.

Lots of mostly friendly staff but each person has their own job to do. So if you’re waiting at reception to pay and the receptionist is off doing something you have to wait for them to come back even though someone is sitting right in front of you on their laptop. Their coffee tastes like instant coffee and is unpalatable. For a four star hotel to sell that instead of bean to cup or even pour over drip coffee is a total let down.

Beautiful and clean hotel in gorgeous surroundings, very close to the activities I was interested in the area.

The delivery truck comes very early, parks under your bedroom window, and they leave it running during the whole delivery process. If you're not looking to wake super early and irritated, this is probably not the place for you. Although it is a beautiful hotel.

Staff were super nice and helpful , especially with a cot for baby and extra sheets and blankets . Lovely little lawn area with tables and chairs so we could let our little one wander around . Lots of options for breakfast I got French toast which was delicious and himself got the fry which he loved also . Great location as well.

I have stayed here many times. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the facilities you could need. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is superb. There is a bar and restaurant which are excellent too. Plenty of parking space and set in attractive grounds.

We loved our stay there. The rooms are very comfortable, organized and clean. The restaurant is amazing. We had the steak deal of £45 and it was delicious! The breakfast was also delicious. The staff is very friendly.

The brownie served on the dinner wasn’t that good, it looked like bought on the supermarket. We were not able to open de windows during the night and it was very warm, so we had to take the fan that it was outside the room.
