Staff were really lovely the room was large and spacious. the bed was really comfortable we also so really enjoyed having Netflix in the room. The breakfast was also very nice

The rooms are a bit dated but I would stay here again

This hotel is a 5 minute car journey from Newry town centre. It has ample parking, we even managed to be able to park right outside our room. The room itself is small but has all you need for a one night stay. The power in the shower is good, but the water was just warm not hot, but was grand for a quick freshen up in the morning. The staff are friendly warm and welcoming. The room was clean and the heating was easy to operate if you needed an extra blast. We had a nice breakfast the next morning, himself had cooked breakfast, he said it was nice, I had pancakes, which were perfect for me as I wasn't in the mood for a full Irish. There was also cereal, yoghurts and fruit to choose from also. I think a little background music would have been nice at breakfast as it was a little awkwardly quiet at times.

This is a well appointed and functional edge-of-town hotel, with all the benefits that accompany it. Check in was extremely flexible, with desk cover through the night and late service at the bar if required. The room was very comfortable with a spacious en suite bathroom, tea & coffee and ample hanging and storage space. Breakfast service was prompt and generous and set me up for my time in Newry, which itself has much to commend it.

Arriving late and leaving early, I was not here for quirky charm, but that isn't the vibe here. It is catering effectively and efficiently to larger numbers.

Although decor was a little dated the room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless with everything needed, bed was comfy, tea/coffee facilities provided. Breakfast was delicious.... plenty on the buffet and then hot food cooked to order which was really lovely.... Staff all very friendly, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We are regular visitors to Newry and would stay there again for sure if wanting a hotel rather than self-catering apartment.

From to check out the staff were so pleasant and lovely to talk to, the room was spotless and well stocked. We had dinner in bar it was beautiful and again staff very pleasant and food lovely and hot. Breakfast next morning we'll what can I say the whole experience is second to none, from the wonderful staff who greeted us to the food great choice could have sat there all morning with unlimited coffee! Special word of praise for the lady in Breakfast room sorry I don't have her name but she is always there (dark hair and glasses) so friendly and nothing too much bother for her a great ambassador for your hotel.

Staff were lovely. Breakfast was very nice. Dinner was excellent. Location for me was perfect. I didn't really look into facilities as it was just one night and I was working from my room when I wasn't sleeping or eating.

The only negative was that the shower head may have been limescaled up because the pressure was good but only the centre nozzles were working and a lot of water was escaping at the head/hose joint. Of course there was nothing I could do about it as it was discovered when I left in the morning.

Location was good. But if i knew it was next to a busy round about. I wouldn't have booked

Noisy next to round about. Felt rushed at brecfast. Asked twice to order before even finishing cereal. 🙁🙁

From the movement we stepped in through the doors of the Mourne County Hotel we were warmly welcomed and checked in we were given details about the breakfast times, bar/restaurant etc, the service from every member of staff we met was absolutely impeccable and second to none in their kindness and thoughtfulness example being one member of staff was going to the vending machine and I was going the same way and rushed to open the door and the next door after he was a gentleman and things like that never go unnoticed and make all the difference to your stay. Anything you needed was never any trouble, when we entered or exited the hotel we were greeted with a warm hello, goodnight etc the next morning we were met in the breakfast dining room by a lovely lady who looked after us so so well she could not do enough and had a lovely chat with us, all in all the Mourne Country Hotel is oozing in their hospitality and every ounce of it shows and is felt 😊 Thank you for our wonderful stay and will be our first port of call to stay if in the area again.

There was nothing to dislike

I had the full cooked breakfast each day and the quality was exceptional with rapid service of freshly cooked food. I ate in the bar on 2 evenings and the food choice was wide with both meals being very tasty and at a reasonable price. One morning I worked from my bedroom and staff returned in the afternoon to make up my room without being notified that I was out for the day-really considerate anda fantastic service.

Road noise on the front of the hotel can be a little intrusive if you are a light sleeper, but there are rooms on the other side of the hotel. The intrusion of noise was not high enough to request a move.

We loved everything about our stay, especially the very friendly staff. We were visiting from England as our son and his wife live nearby and our new grandson had been born on Christmas Eve. We had been able to book at very short notice. We enjoyed the lovely breakfasts and meals in the bar and the comfortable and clean room The location was also great for us.
