Beautiful location, great views, room was gorgeous, clean and comfortable with lots of light theough big windows. Above a courtyard/patio area with a water feature that made a lovely background sound. Though we did not use it, outside fireplace and patio next to cropland was a lovely setting. Fabulous and secluded gardens and lawn area.

Had just flown in and didn't realize/remember we had to climb about 20 steps to the room with our luggage. Exhaustion made that a bit difficult, but it was no problem the next day after a good night's sleep. Husband is tall, and room has a ceiling light hanging too low right in the path through the room. He learned to duck or got lucky and missed it after a couple of knocks to the head.

Family of 5 (3 adults, 2 teens) we stayed in a triple room and four poster double - the rooms were absolutely immaculate and so comfortable. Received a very friendly and warm welcome from Elaine and then were left to our own business. Lovely continental breakfast left in the room, including mini fridge with milk, juice etc. the wifi worked great and the TV had streaming services for the night time entertainment. There was also an abundance of information left out for places to go, eat, taxis etc. Gorgeous communal external areas to relax if it's nice weather too. Highly recommended.

Nothing at all really - only minor issue was availability of taxis... Which is not under the properties control obviously. But it was a Saturday and carlingford itself was very very busy.

I travelled with my autistic son of the owner contacted me back to let me know that they were stairs up to the room which was no problem. It was a perfect little self-contained unit of a master bedroom and a small single bedroom with a little Fridge coffee machine and a breakfast for the following morning of pastries coffee and cheese orange juice cereal and there were also some nice chocolate treats the beds are very comfortable love the little window seat overlooking the garden will definitely go back for a longer stay

Everything was to the highest standard. The bed, bedding and pillows were to the highest standard. There was everything in the room for a continental breakfast. Fresh milk, fresh orange juice, yogurt, pro biotic, water and biscuits, chocs in fridge. Cereal honey, granola and buns. Also coffee tea kettle and a coffee machine. Lovely hot strong shower with shower gel, separate shampoo and separate conditioner (which was good on my thick frizz susceptible hair) a hair dryer and straighteners. We felt very much at home. There was a sitting room or out door areas which we didn’t use.

What an incredible little place! I can't say enough good things about it - we had the suite which ended up being its own self-contained apartment. There was fresh juice and milk in the fridge each morning, a few cereal options, yogurt and even crisps. Far more than we were expecting as we'd only booked 'Room Only'. The location is brilliant and the whole place was very charming. We've already decided we want to make it a regular getaway 🙂

Booking said Continental breakfast was included & it was. The orange juice & milk was in lovely glass bottles. Lots of tea bags & and coffee. Elaine enquired the time we would be coming in that night so she adjusted the heat timer to suit. The bed was very comfortable & roomy. Lots of very hot water & towels. The 'room' I booked was a self contained apartment. It's an exception little gem.

This whole place is just a vibe on its own, the gardens are so peaceful with beautiful big fire places out the front of the venue, flowers are evey were a d the wee smoking room is quirky,Elaine was so helpful, and eveyting was on point, even the additional to details, the breakfast was beautiful 😍, I would definitely recommend this place and be back again 👌

We had an amazing stay! Our hosts we're very welcoming. Due to a car problem, we thought we needed to shorten our stay and the host was very helpful with trying to get a bokking in place for ours, but luckily, our rental got exchanged and fixed up so we could enjoy our 2 day stay at last. The breakfast options were great, and the offer of fresh fruit was far more than in any place else we've been on our trip to. Great full Irish breakfast, also veggie option, and actually some other guests had distinct requests which were taken care of too. The bed was amazing, and the room and bathroom were clean and tidy, actually prepped with all sorts of thoughtful things! We really did enjoy our stay and took the recommendations to visit some beaches nearby, literally 5min drive away. Would definitely visit again! Thanks alot. We had a splendid end of our Ireland trip.

Nothing, really. We didn't mind keeping our blinds down once we relaxed a bit during the day since we were located towards the driveway yard..

We could not fault this place From the moment we entered we fell in love absolutely stunning accommodation and location everything was perfect beds are so comfy and one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in not a fault we are still amazed and will definitely be back the host was so accommodating and lovely lady thanks so much and till next time

We really loved everything about Riverside Lodge. Elaine is a lovely host & her property is spotless & so cosy. Can't say enough good things about it. She even left lots of lovely food for us so we really felt at home & had such a relaxing stay. We would happily stay at Riverside Lodge on future visits to the area.
