Loved the historical aspect of the home, which has been beautifully restored, and very clean. It is so conveniently located, close to the square and the Celebration show grounds. The room was beautiful, with comfortable beds, ample sitting area, and lovely furnishings. Many places to sit and relax inside and out, including a covered balcony and a large covered front porch, both of which are nicely furnished and decorated. The owners are very gracious and responsive. When we had a little trouble with the electronic door lock (operator error) our host responded immediately.

Great location near Shelbyville's quaint downtown district. The old home is beautiful and well taken care of. Parking was simple and accessible. We would stay here again if we're ever traveling through the area again.

We liked everything about our stay. Comfy bed. Hot shower. Clean room. Reasonable price. It's a much better place to stay than a cheap hotel next to the interstate. And, the caretakers were very responsive through the Booking.com app.

The inn is a quaint historical house In a historical district. The rooms are Decorated accordingly although it is going through constant renovation. I am old so like old things 😀

Probably the only thing was our room Didn’t have a bathroom in the room which when you’re older can be a bit of a problem but it’s only to be expected In this type of property and wasn’t a big deal.

Interesting character property with lots of charm. Bed was comfortable, and despite the quirky layout of our ground floor, it worked out great. Nice quiet room with everything we needed. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

There was no closet in our room, so we had to hang our (motorcycle) gear on the ironing board and the back of the chairs. A few hooks on the wall above the luggage rack would have been perfect.

Loved the history, character, and charm of this home. The antique furnishings and high ceilings added to the feeling of staying on an estate property. Linda is awesome, such an accommodating host! The location was great and check in was easy! We will definitely be staying here in the future! Thanks Linda!

Not really a criticism, but the pathway from the parking area to the front door could use a little more light, walking after dark.

Very easy to get into and out of the location. Loved that you got the door codes and where to park a couple hours ahead of check in time. Very clean rooms and bathrooms a long with the common area for breakfast. Didn’t see much of the owners but when we did see her she was very nice and said good morning.

There wasn’t anything bad about this property

My adult son and daughter had never been to a historic inn and really enjoyed the experience. The room was beautiful and clean as was the bathroom.

I really can’t think of much other than the breakfast choices probably wouldn’t be a substantial enough meal for the hungry traveler. Neither my daughter nor I are big morning eaters, so we were fine, but my son wanted a second breakfast not long after we’d left for the day.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the inn-keeper who upgraded our room, due to work being done in our original room. He upgraded our room without an additional fee. The accommodations were exceptionally clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The sheets smelled wonderful! So impressed to see how the owner’s maintained historical accuracy with the decor!

The only suggestion would be to have a second sign stating “Watch your head” on one of the stairs leading to the second floor. The one currently posted was missed by my significant other and he hit his head rather hard. He hadn’t seen it.

I liked the character and charm of this old historic house. We met Linda, one of the owners who was very friendly and chatted with us about the history of the area and house. We mixed up our stays with chain type motels/hotels and prefer the B&B type properties but if you want room service, swimming pools etc then this isn't for you but if you want charm, character and history then a big thumbs up for us.

The owner was very kind when Booking.com did not correctly book our accommodations correctly.

We booked a handicap room and booking.com did not express our needs. My husband whom is handicapped had to climb stairs everyday because there wasn't an elevator.
