The room and the service was awesome!! The room is much better than it looks in the photos, cleaness was great for most of the stay and the pool was super nice.
I asked the staff to organise a bottle of wine and glasses in the room to celebrate my wife's birthday, they said they couldn't do it, even though there was already a bottle of wine in the room to buy and they have a restaurant inside the hotel that serves it. The attendant was polite though when saying they couldn't and offered me the phone number so I could call the bottle shop in front of the hotel to organise it with them, but ir was odd nonetheless.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. The mattress was superb. Being on the 6th floor with a city view was great. In the cooler months this room would be lovely and warm with the afternoon sun. However, obviously the ocean side would be better in the summer months. I did eat dinner at Sportys but not in the main dinning room. I had breakfast each day which was nice. Also a nice area to have a coffee or drink in various bar areas.
Unfortunately, at some times whilst in the lounge or bar areas there was a cool breeze coming though which was not the A/C which made it a little bit uncomfortable.

From check in to check out we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Having not stayed here since 2011, I was impressed with the upkeep of the hotel. We had a suite with an ocean view which I thoroughly recommend if you are staying more than a couple of days for the extra space. The balcony offers a great view to enjoy too. We had dinner and breakfast in both restaurants, which were both very good. On Friday night there was a band which made for a good vibe. There was also complimentary water, and a pod machine in the room, which I always appreciate. There is now also a pergola next to the lovely pool, with awesome views of Boston Bay.
For a regional city hotel, and having stayed in a wide variety of hotels, I couldn't fault it

Great location. Modern facilities. Comfortable bed.
Asked if we could have a late checkout (noon, so +2hrs) as being Anzac Day, no shops were open until noon. Was advised it wasn’t a problem and that the hotel can accommodate the request. Was then charged extra for the late check out, although this was not advised when the request was made. There was no need to charge, as cleaners were not up to our room by then. Being a repeat customer, with more than a dozen stays here, I think it was greedy to charge extra. Disappointing end to a nice stay. Staff need to be transparent with additional costs.

This hotel was exceptional, offered so many options to eat at and the staff were always friendly. Breakfast was delicious and offered many options. Right on the water there and so many options on the Main Street for breakfast or a quick stop at the bottle-o or the Hotel Boston was a short walk too for a drink. The room was amazing and had everything we needed. The balcony was huge and was perfect to sit out on and have a drink. Car parking was free and just out the back of the hotel too. The Oyster HQ tour offered to pick us up direct from the hotel which was amazing. Everything was just amazing!!
Nothing, everything was perfect!!

Casual meals in Sharkys and Bayview both good. The sea view was lovely.
The car park spaces in the hotel car park are narrow and it is difficult to avoid opening car doors onto adjoining vehicles, particularly when my physically disabled adult grandson was getting in or out the car. The hotel car park has only allocated two disabled car spaces. Although we have a parking permit for disabled parking more often than not we were forced into a small "regular" park which caused a lot of discomfort for my grandson.

Dinner at Sarins was very good as was our breakfasts. Other good restaurants are within walking distance. Our room had a lovely outlook over the bay and everything was clean and comfortable.
We read on the tv display in the bistro/bar area that we could purchase wine from the hotel bottle shop across the road to have with our dinner. We did this and then we’re charged $20 corkage even though we opened the bottle and poured the wine ourselves. What was the point of this as the price was then only $4 difference to buying it from the wine list without the effort of going to get it. Disappointing.

We had an amazing view. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms were very quiet, We were able to sleep with the sliding door open for fresh air, which is a huge plus for me. The T2 tea bags were a welcome change to the usual offerings as it is a brand I use and love. I appreciated that there was an option to not have the room cleaned every day which was rewarded with a voucher (great idea) and the breakfast and food at our function were beautiful also!
Normally bottled water is supplied without charge, so I did not like that you had to pay extra for water.

Comfortable room, bed and pillows. Friendly staff on front desk. I liked the option of not having my room cleaned - better fir the environment. Even better that you get a voucher for choosing - even though I didn't use it!
The Wifi was terrible -I couldn't use it at all. I needed to hotspot my phone to get any work done. I was disappointed that their was no option for an 'express' breakfast. When I asked for anything that was quick after being told there was a 40 minute wait on food, they said that there was nothing they could do - not even a piece of toast. Needless to say, I couldn't wait 40 minutes and I didn't get to eat breakfast even though I paid for it in my room package.

I've stayed in quite a few hotels lately and have stayed at this one multiple times. I was reflecting on this hotel after my most recent stay, and in comparison to the others I've stayed at recently, it's just a cut above. It's got what a hotel is supposed to have but you rarely get in this price range- incredibly comfy, big, plush beds, a good size TV, fully stocked mini bar, room service and WiFi that actually works.I always use the provided toiletries at this hotel, they are really nice quality and smell great! I ordered room service this time, and while the food was a little pricey, it was really good. The staff were friendly and efficient. It's just a really decent, nice hotel.
