Excellent quaint property in Kemi. This appartment is a unique take on conventional igloos in Lapland. I recommend the Seaside Glass Villas for everyone who is looking for a quiet igloo stay that will not burn a hole in your pocket
Kemi is a small town and the property is located about 15 mins from the railway/bus station. Please arrange your transportation to the property in advance before you arrive in Kemi. The property should indicate this in a "How to reach us" recommendation while communicating with guests.

A quiet and easy place to stay while passing through on your travel. The "panorama-styled" glass ceiling and wall in the hut is a nice touch and adds the atmosphere in correct situations (roof-wise especially on clear nightskies)! The breakfast was small but fair enough, but nothing amazing! The purpose of our visit was just an easy place to stay for one night and for this the place worked really well. Beds were comfortable to sleep on and self check-in during night was easy!
You can hardly enjoy the sea view from the other huts than only from coastline-located huts. This sadly makes the idea of the glassified "panorama-wall" rather useless in the other non-coastline huts. We kept our curtains pretty much closed all time to have the privacy and not making us feel like in aquarium. The idea is great, but the execution is perhaps clumsy. I would prefer to design the rows of huts on different sea-levels on terrain, with different ground-heights, so you could see more than just the neighbour hut from the other huts too. Atleast have the decency to change the windows so people cannot see inside the hut from outside, but that you could still see outside from inside.

The villa was amazing in the summer, great views and perfect for relaxing. It gave us the illusion of being on the beach, enjoying the summer.
The villas get super hot in the summer-time. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, and there is hot water available for showering only for 13 minutes until the boiler runs out, so two people (esp. with long hair) showering within the same hour might be an impossibility.

The glass villa was amazing. Front Desk assisted to change our villa to the unblocked row which provided us amazing view of the frozen lake. Front Desk was very helpful and assisted with the many queries we had. The location was also the pickup point for those going for the ice breaker cruises.
There wasnt much snow when we stayed but not the fault of the hotel/resort. The view was still amazing though.

The view from the front-row villas is amazing, although we couldn't quite figure out how the roof shutters work. The villa is also dog-friendly :-) The selection of the breakfast is good, exept the industrial omlette, which is terrible :)
The walking path between the villas is not accessible at all and can only be used with healthy legs during slippery weather. A dog waste bin is also sorely missing from the park.

The structural originality of the villas, the independence of each villa from the others, the cleanliness of everything inside. More generally, the views out over the water and straight up to the sky.
(1) The bathroom sink didn’t drain properly. (2) The shower pan was angled away from the drain and towards the front of the shower, and the shower wall didn’t meet the floor, with the result that every shower caused a flood in the bathroom. This is a known problem — a squeegee is provided for you to mop up the mess. 3) There’s a sign in the bathroom announcing that you get only 13 minutes of hot water per hour, a limitation that doesn’t appear in the Booking description. This means that showers and kitchen cleaning have to be carefully programmed, which is a bore, a killer of romance, and a jarring contrast to the property’s marketing as a hotel that approaches luxury status.

The cabins really ARE located right by the water with a beatiful view! We had booked a cabin in the first row and did not regret it; our three nights were quite expensive but worth the price: Not only two of the sides of the cabins, but also the roofs are made of glass! It is possible to darken everything if you need darkness to sleep, but we were thrilled to be able to lie on the bed and look up at the summer sky, which at those latitudes is almost as bright at night as during the day. The cabins are clearly built for winter use, so there are no outdoor seating options around the cabin, and the windows cannot be opened - a bit strange when staying there in the summer... But we got used to it, and the cabins are equipped with well-functioning air conditioning.
- It is possible to drive right up to the cabins to load/unload, but it is not allowed to park there. - The breakfast restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, and the food was good - but it is the same menu for both (3 starters, 4 main courses and 3 desserts) day after day - not much variety... So we appreciated the possibility to cook for ourselves in the kitchenette at the cabin.

Stunning view Well equipped kitchen Entrance to Snow castle and SnowExperience in price
Villas are too close. When neighbor turn on the light, it kinda ruined the view. Second row has no privacy at all. Only 13 minutes of warm water per hour but that was enough after all. Sunset wasn't seen well from villa (maybe just from the first in row), too far. But that was actually good. I had to go outside. Walk on the frozen sea watching the sunset were the most happiest moments of my life ♥️

The location was good, the property overlooking a lake, frozen during winter time, just 10 minute walk from the city center.
The shower in my room was a little uncomfortable because the water goes out.
