The hotel was located close to the castle and the old town which was very lovely. When we arrived, I send a message and the host came outside to help us. He was very kind. The room was really comfortable. Just know when you’re staying in Albania, you don’t get dark curtains (almost every place I’ve stayed so far the last 2 weeks). We had a lovely balkon with view on the castle. The breakfast was amazing, really good! Overal we liked our stay here and I would recommend this place.

We struggled a bit to get there. The roads are narrow and steep and google maps brought us to impossible places. Would recommend to have some drive experience if you go here by car, or park the car close and go by walk. Maybe an idea to do something about the smell that was coming out of the drain in the bathroom.

Very friendly staff. We got lost on our arrival and the owner picked us up and even parked our car into the tiny garage. Our car fit just so. Breakfast was delicious and the place is overall really nice - old building which fits the city. View from the balcony was really good as you can see the hills and city. The place is also close to the old town (~5 min), the castle (~15 min) which was really convenient.

Just one thing: To get there you have to drive some very steep roads and there was a lot of construction going on so our google maps was totally confused and the hotel owner had to pick us up in the middle of the city and guide us to the hotel. If you are not a secure driver, be careful!

Fantastic location minutes away from the old town, very clean rooms and super comfortable beds, good quality appliances, owner prompt and friendly, breakfast in a lovely room with a view.

Slight smell from the toilets, but I suspect this is an issue with infrastructure rather than the hotel (as we encountered this in other hotels in Albania). Rooms are a tad tiny but expected for the location up on the mountain. The way up is steep and windy, so beware if you're driving a big car and get nervous easily! (But seriously, you'll make it up just fine. We saw vans coming and going.)

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Donald and his entire family for the warm welcome and exceptional hospitality during our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and great kindness. He was also extremely responsive to our questions and provided valuable advice. The accommodation was impeccably clean, well-equipped, and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was very good and generous. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and worry-free stay in Gjirokastër. We hope to have the opportunity to return soon!

The location was fantastic and within walking distance of all the major sights. It’s located in the old town, up the mountain. Make sure Google takes you on the best safe route. If it looks scary, take another path. It’s a family run business and everyone is there to help make your stay enjoyable. The staff were incredibly kind and sweet. They helped us park the car, carry in luggage, and answered all the questions we had. They also have suggestions on where to go and what sights were worth visiting. Breakfast was wonderful. We had the chance to try some local dishes with our omelettes, along with fresh fruit and coffee. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to everyone.

The room is smaller than average, but the balcony made it worth it. We loved sitting on the balcony with some local wine.

Everything was perfect! The breakfast was very tasty and full, the people of the hotel are very kind, always smiley and ready to do everything for the best experience. The room was clean and cozy, we had new towels etc every day and hot water as soon as you opened the faucet. The hotel was 2-3 minutes from the old town by foot, very close to everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay and if we ever come back to Argirokastro we definitely choose Palorto! Greetings from Greece!

Modern, nicely decorated rooms. Even had a kettle with some tea and coffee provided in the rooms. Really nice courtyard for breakfast. Great breakfast including coffee and fresh fruit. Small town so location is great as everything is walkable.

We found it tricky to drive to, google maps suggested a route which was not suitable for cars. It's worth ringing the hotel to let them know you are on your way and they can help you find a space to park in the street. Streets are cobbled and sometimes narrow, so patience and careful driving required.

They helped us to get our luggage into our room and afterwards guided us to the parking lot. We used the (fast) laundry service, which was convenient. The room was nice and clean. We Had a nice balkony. Breakfast was plenty and tasteful.

In the bathroom the drain was kind of smelly and putting water in it didn't help. But this was just some small inconvenience. The rest was very good.

The owners were such lovely, kind people who parked my car for me! Despite needing sat nav to find, it was in a brilliant location to everything. The breakfasts were superb and beautifully presented. One carrier bag of washing for 5 euros. The view from the balcony and a very clean, comfortable and modern room. Coffee machine in the room.

There were no shelves in the bathroom and not enough in the bedroom to put toiletries and clothes

A hotel very close to the center of the old town with its picturesque streets, the castle and the sights of the city, clean, chic, with a well-kept garden and lots of nature. Friendly hosts, possibility to pay in euros, spacious balcony with table and chairs, good breakfast.

The hotel is quite hard to find, unmarked, located in the old part of the city with up and down streets, paved with cubic stone, narrow, with areas where two cars often do not have room to pass each other. We recommend caution to those who arrive there by car. Very loud music in the neighbors that could be heard all over the street until late evening. Aggressive mosquitoes in the hotel yard. Small room even for two people, cramped, with balcony door opening into the bed, with little free space available. The parking lot is further from the hotel.
