We liked that it was generally better kept than other hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka. As with all hotels during our trip, the photos are always very well taken and not 100% real, but in this hotel the discrepancy between photo and reality was objectively less than usual. The food was great! A quite big and clean buffet in a lovely room.

We know that in such wild nature it’s difficult to keep everything managed and clean, but let’s say that from a hotel with pretty high reviews such as this one you would expect a little more. Anyway much better hotel than the ones we went to the days before 😊

Staff was very welcoming. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast had large variety with Halaal meat dishes. Special praise for Dhanushan, Dhanu and Jeewan for arranging a Rent a Car and negotiating a good rate for us.

Location is slightly away from main attraction, in the middle of the forest. There is no lift to climb up and down. Rooms are slightly old. Wifi is patchy.

Staff were all exceptionally professional, pleasant and attentive. Everywhere was very clean, despite the weather outside, the hotel had a warm homely feeling, nice cosy longe and bar areas. Nice location just outside town , if weather better could have explored the forest and not too far to walk to Gregory lake approx 1km or so.

Old style clean and with luxury taste hotel. Location is amazing for good rest - 5 minutes drive from city, but so calm and relaxing at night! Absolutely diamond in that hostel is restaurant - foods were amazing, great choise of wines and nice bar area with live music after dinner.

We are an older couple that stayed for 4 nights. This was the best hotel we had stayed at, the staff where very pleasant and eager to help with anything that would make our stay a good one. Not only was it clean the food served at breakfast and dinner was the best we had had whilst in Sri Lanka. We would use this hotel again if our age allows us to visit Sri Lanka again.

Everything was good. Only one thing they should get their Pool Table refurbished, as very difficult to have a good game with tears in the cloth and the balls do not bounce back off the cushions.

Comfortable well maintained traditional ‘English’ style hotel with a tranquil atmosphere. Reasonable sized bar area with live music and good cocktails. Friendly and attentive staff. Good value for money.

The staff was great. The hotel is located around 10 km away from the Nanuoya railway station, which, in case you're coming by train, would cost you around 1500LKR to reach. This too is after bargaining. The general rate is 2500 LKR. Overall, the hotel is quite pleasant, and the rooms are very neat and clean. There are acres of space to walk around the hotel and keep yourself occupied. The front desk was also very helpful in acquiring transport.

Would have preferred to have a wider selection of food choices. Additionally, my room didn't have a heater..So if cold is a problem, then you might have to take care of it on your own.

Location ouside town. You need a car, there is nothing nearby. Staff was very friendly and akways helpful. Nice bar. Breakfast and dinner were very good.

There is no shelf or anything in the bathroom. Very noisy in the early mornings (from the hotel itself not the guests).

Kind staff. Very helpful considering we booked just a few hours before arrival. Our group also enjoyed the games room. A positive stay

Not much. Everything was great though the rooms were quite hot at night and there is no fan or a/c though I understand that it isn’t usually this hot in Nuwara Eliya
