The palace is very quiet and cozy it feels like home. Well located, very nice view, and garden. The food is very pleasant, the chef is very talented he made the food experience very good. We booked half-board (breakfast and dinner). The staff were very friendly, literally everyone even the planters guy’s. Everyone is smiling.

Well maintained, old-style design, wonderful service, fabulous and plentiful food. Small, but useful gym, sauna and spa. We loved our morning swim in the outside heated pool (with a view of the surrounds).

We had to open the window for air (although the evening wasn’t hot) because no a/c and mosquitoes came in 😔 The hotel has the same name as another establishment and we were confused in finding our way back to the hotel at night in a tuk tuk. The service, despite being wonderful was a bit too full on! We didn’t love Nuwara Eliyah - but it was close to Nanu Oya train station.

Westbury Palace was a 3-day stop on our honeymoon, and our expectations were exceeded. The friendly staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible, the room was great, the pool was amazingly warm, and the food was excellent. The spa treatment we booked at their spa facility completed our stay. The whole experience made us feel like royalty! We would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a comfortable stay and excellent service.

Upon arrival we were greeted by name and received a cup of tea with the check in process fast and efficient. Suraj and Gaming were always available to help with anything we needed, likewise Yaso was our butler who was always on hand to provide water, towels etc to our room. The food was incredible, something you would expect of a 5 star hotel in London. Pushparaj the chef at the Westbury put together a wonderful festive 4 course Christmas dinner in the dining room. The service was excellent! We missed breakfast as we wanted to lie in one morning & the staff brought the breakfast to our room (waffles, pancakes, eggs, fruit) similarly if we wanted to take the pastries away they would box them up for us.

Can’t say a thing negative about this hotel, the staff were extremely helpful and the grounds are beautiful with an easy walk into the town, it’s historical roots are noticeable throughout the property, even the old royal carriage (looked real). Room was very clean, large and very well supplied with toiletries. We had half board and really enjoyed sitting in their lovely dining room , the food was good too .

1. We had a wonderful stay at The Westbury Palace. The place looks amazing with a beautiful garden and luxurious interior. It’s a peaceful place in a very convenient location and walking distance to the city. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The Staff were kind, attentive and very helpful. Overall we had the best experience we have ever had at Nuwara Eliya. The whole credit should goes the The Westbury Palace team for maintaining nearly a 170 years old building up to this standard. It's Wonderful indeed! Also, we all very much enjoyed the Out door heated pool which is hardly could find something in this nature in any other place around Nuwara Eiya. It's simply Amazing! Can't forget the their fully equipped gym and the SPA with Sauna which we experienced at and extra cost but very much worth the price! The staff also was very professional , flexible and helpful at all the times from the check in to the check out. It’s a magic place where we stopped for one night but we would recommend even more. The personal, all the team is amazing and gives us very good memories of our trip. The breakfast was the best one we had during our stay. I recommend this place to visit and experience the hospitality.

Nice period property. Very luxurious and grand in appearance inside and out. Great garden with view over Nuwara Eliya and lively warm outdoor pool.

Much as we loved the quirky giant Downton Abbey style dinner table in the dining room, it would be nice to also have the option of smaller, more intimate dining tables for guests who are couples.

Simply awesome and amazing, stay and good. Pool and everything was perfect and superb…this is the best stay of mine. Staff and chefs are professionals. The Love and caring brilliant. Best in the business and Trust me this is the best place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. One of the best Outdoor heated pool in Nuwara Eliay. I rather doubt if any other place in Nuwara Eliya has something like this!
