The property was in a good location to the town and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was really good and they gave good recommendations for dinner. Lovely balcony over the view of the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka

It poured with rain when we stayed there and we did have a very small leak in the night in our room which we informed the staff of the next day. The bathroom did smell a bit and we put this down to the rain and drainage again.

The room was big. Sathish contacted me prior to arrival to ask if we needed a transfer from the station (which we did). We were also offered a tour of the area (tea factory visit and the waterfalls). The hotel is close to the main road with several restaurants nearby. Good breakfast.

The room itself looked “fresher” on the photos (although the bathroom was new). Main issue - it was cold in the room as the windows did not close properly. The bathroom window is just wood, no glass. We were given an extra blanket and a heater though which helped a lot!

The Ramp is a delightful hotel that exudes comfort and convenience. The rooms are not just spacious but also wonderfully cozy, creating a perfect retreat after a long day. The experience at the hotel was nothing short of fantastic, largely due to the exceptional service provided by employee Sathiesh. His attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond truly elevated the stay. Moreover, the hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, a highly recommended stay for anyone seeking comfort, great service, and a prime location.

Nothing everything was perfect.

We had a lovely and spacious room with a view.The restaurant provides nice breakfast and dinner (extra payment but very good value). The manager is very helpful and welcoming.. The staff is professional and friendly.

Everything was great. Some of the negative reviews from other guests are a bit ridiculous. If you travel to the mountains not only in Sri Lanka but anywhere else, expect cold and rain, it's nature and the weather is often not predictable in high altitudes, so dress for the mountains, not for the beach....

The staff provided a warm welcome, and check-in was both smooth and informative—plus, I even enjoyed a cup of tea on arrival. The room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view with two balconies, allowing plenty of sunshine to stream in. The location was perfect, just a short five-minute walk from the hustle and bustle, offering both convenience and tranquility. Highly recommend staying here!

Was a bit chilly , with the a draft from the front door . However , we did have extra blankets

The Ramp is from the outside a nice building and the (family) room was spacious inclusief two large and good beds. The staff was friendly and the (continental) breakfast was good. Communications before checking in and support for trandportation was all good.

The building is VERY noizy. For the rooms with entrance inside the Ramp, you will hear all sounds, including the breakfast sounds as of let's say 07.00hr.... Though thd bathroom was complete and okay, the shower was open and direct next to the rest, which resulted in a wet bathroom floor after showering.

Great location and pretty much everything else too, nice place to stay. Comfy and large beds, clean and modern bathroom, good size TV and fast wifi. Daily breakfast was good with some tasty pancakes 🥞.

Not much, wish they provided the wifi password and pin for tv channels when we arrived instead of waiting for us to request. No air conditioning or heating to the room and the first night we didn't have a heater but they provided a portable one on the 2nd day. Will definitely stay again if we visit Nuwaraeliya.

Hotel with a unique beautiful design, located a bit on a hill, very good location, quiet, away from noise but very close to everything. We had amazing views from our balcony early morning, birds singing, fresh air. Room is spacios and clean, fridge, kettle in the room, that is nice. End of february it was warm and pleasant inside the room without a heater, as I know, usually in Nuwara Eliya it is cold inside the premises at night. Polite and friendly staff, good breakfast. Good and big bathroom with a window. We would stay again ☺

Bathroom floor is detached from shower area with a low step, that I would strongly recommend to mark with some bright colour, as it is not noticeable, especially at dark time, and you can easly fall over.

This review is for a basic hotel and not luxury. For that it was quite good. Slept much better here than the higher standard hotel in Kandy (The Radh). Simple breakfast, simple bathroom, simple room, and uncomplicated service. Near restaurants and easily walkable into the centre. This hotel had the BEST chilli paste of ALL Sri Lanka, This alone is reason to stay here and travel to Nuwara Eliya!

Would be nice to have a bathroom towel for the floor. A lock boos too! Not having one was uncomfortable.
