The Blue Moon Hotel has been such a nice discover! Perfect location, simple breakfast but more than enough, staff very kind, always happy to help you despite their basic english. The room was very clean,(the humidity is normal in sri lanka), all bathroom forniture brand new, hot water running 24h, they let me use the kitchen sometime to cut some fruit and make hot tea. Mr. Satia a very nice and helpful person, he made my staying lovely and confortable. A perfect balance between what you pay and what you get! Wanna recommend to all my friends who will come over!

Everything more than ok for me!

This is my third time staying at the Blue Moon which in itself suggests my satisfaction on each occasion. Hasitha the owner has vast experience of meeting the needs and ensuring the comfort of his guests. The rooms are well equipped and of a high standard complementing the availability of an on site menu for those inclined to eat on the premises.

This is the cutest guesthouse. Nice communal areas so you can meet other travelers too. It's situated above the main road but not too far up, because those hills get real steep at the end of a long day! The bed was incredibly comfortable. Like I slept gooooood! The showers were very hot (much needed on the cool mornings) and there's a really nice balcony off some of the rooms. My room had big French doors that made it feel so airy. The manager really goes above and beyond and can offer great day tours too. Breakfasts are great and the coffee will really get you into gear!

Good location and hospitable staff. In particular Hasitha the graduate manager who has good social antenna accommodating to the needs of multiple nationalities. If memory serves me right this is my third stay over the same number of years and I hope for a fourth visit in 2025

All was great, the weather my last few days here was cold windy and rainy which made the wonderful service and comfortable room even better!

Good location. Great strong wifi. Staff were fiery friendly. Close to the local supermarket. Very quiet at night time.

Sheets and towels were old and stained. Not a lot of hot water.

Good location in Nuwara Eliya, short walk to the main area. The host was very friendly and organised a pick up and drop off from Nanuoya train station. I arrived late in the afternoon and was also offered a tour from the host to a tea estate/factory and a waterfall which was helpful to make the most of the day as the weather wasn't very good during my stay. Room was clean and bathroom had a hot shower which was nice.

I had a pleasant stay at the Blue Moon Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The highlight of my visit was definitely the food—delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d happily recommend it to others!

The best advantage for me is the option of paying with banking cards, as 99% of Sri Lanka are cash only. Then, the location is quite convenient to the city centre. They have a good free WiFi and it’s exceptionally clean to the Sri Lankan standards with comfortable sleep. And the receptionist was quite friendly too. Keep it up!

Pretty basic. Ground floor room too noisy if other guests are inconsiderate. Breakfast adequate but not really worth the money
