Loved the stay! Breakfast was great, there were options to take surf classes and the staff was very helpful with booking a taxi. You can also book a scooter to get around. The room is nice and spacious and the airco works well. The location is great for Medewi, near some cafes, amazing massages and and super close to the beach and very calm. Really a spot for surfers.

The restaurant was closed a couple of the days, so I wasn’t able to eat at the hotel (but the restaurants nearby made up for it). The private outside bathroom was gorgeous, but after a couple days I wouldn’t have minded it being in the airco too :)

Lovely quiet location near to the beach. Beautiful modern cool design and style, the room's outside bathroom was stunning. The bed was huge and comfy. It felt like a 5 star place but a very affordable price. Great value for money. We played pool at night which was fun! They have also a gym area. They also have many surf boards to rent. We have done the couple massage which was great value for money and very relaxing. There is a super cute cafe/restaurant almost in front of the hotel called "Bamboo Beach", run by a lovely local family. We had an excellent dinner there and it is a cool spot for drinks and sunset.

The room was comfortable and the Aircon made the heat manageable. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. The massages were relaxing and in a lovely setting. The location for the beach and surfing couldn't have been better (and the surf lessons were brilliant). And the cost was very reasonable.

The location was a little hard to drive to (narrow road in bad condition). It is a predominantly Muslim community and so morning prayers at 5am woke me (unexpectedly) though they weren't too loud. The massages were ok and relaxing in a lovely setting but weren't quite as deep as I might like. There were also lots of renovations while we were there and they started banging at 8am (though we were up and about by then anyway). The beach was a little dirty and the sea only good for surfing.

Very secluded location but close to the beach break. Holy tree cafe a short walk down the road was great for smoothies & post surf snacks. Rooms were modern, large, and clean, huge semi-outdoor bathrooms. Boy was a great surf teacher. And our driver from airport also helped us rent scooters which are very needed as everything is quite spread out in the area. Nice pool, its was very quiet when we stayed there was no-one else using.

The front reception/cafe staff could barely speak english this made making queries or explaining things like food allergies very difficult. Room smelt a bit musty if you had them shut for the day. Very close to the mosque, you will be woken at 4am with some lovely chanting.

The location was peaceful, set amongst fields and across just across a quiet road from Yeh Sumbul - a good surf beach when Medewi Point is small. Medewi Point was a short beach walk away, past the colourful fishing boats and a hop across a shallow rivermouth. The included breakfast was yummy with a range of options, while the on site massage was very convenient and relaxing for a good price. Drives to nearby sites and surf lessons can be organise via Boi, whose English is excellent and was a great help when our kids wanted surf lessons (including videos provided afterwards). Great little swimming pool for playing or relaxing on poolside chairs, with a pool table, table tennis table and volleyball net to keep the whole family entertained. Super comfy beds, clean rooms and amazing bathrooms. Staff were very attentive and keen to help in any way they could during our lovely stay. We can't wait to come back in the future!

Could do with a wider range of drinks (e.g., wine, spirits, cocktails) rather than just Bintangs, although the beachside road offers plenty of options to head out for a drink. More food options would also be great (e.g., a curry or two would be a good addition to the menu). Clear advertising of tours and activities available would be helpful at the front desk (e.g. trips to turtle sanctuary/ massage prices/ laundry/ taxi rides). Make sure you have cash for massages as the nearest ATM is a few KMs away. Proximity to mosques in this predominantly Muslim region means an early start to the day with the call to prayer, but you quickly get used to it and overall that's the only noise apart from waves and cow bells.

Overnight stay at West Break Bali - the final night of an ‘escape from Canggu’ weekend. Medewi is still in its infancy, but it seems likely to continue growing in the next few years as development creeps up the coast. It’s a neat hotel, especially popular with surfers, and virtually beachfront. There’s a TV lounge, mini-gym and games to keep people occupied away from the beach. Breakfast is a simple affair, as are the meals available at other times. Staff are friendly.

A few bugbears: - wifi is pretty poor, or it least it was in our room - our upstairs patio was infested with horrible little stink bugs after dark when the lights came on. Impossible to sit out there (it was the same story in the nearby restaurant we went to for dinner) - With only rice fields in the way, West Break is in the firing line of three nearby mosques. The early morning call to prayer is great if you want to get up and pray, but impossible to sleep through if you don’t.

Best surf hotel in Medewi. The location is right on the beach and a short few minutes scooter ride to the point . The staff was superb, really friendly and professional but with a family oriented feeling. You really feel between friend and not just a customer. The last but not the least: Boy the manager and surf instructor is the a top notch surf instructor that helps you in every step of your progress.. I never feel safe in the water and progress like with him. It’s like paradise

Large clean room with air conditioning and a fridge and a big out door inspired bathroom. Nice breakfast. We really enjoyed the ping pong table and pool table that was a fun addition in the common area.

Slippery floors and noisy staff. Staff talking loudly out side our room from early in the morning. Talking to each other playing and laughing . It was also hard to communicate to staff.

I stayed in the honeymoon room. Love so much the bathroom, bathtub, the bed, the room..the balcony, TV, swimming pool, billiard, pingpong, food..so basically, everything 😂🥰👍 hope to get back here again for holiday, one day 🤲

The toilet bidet, it was often the water didnt come out not because it was broken, you just need to know the trick, flush and then the water comes out. It's how the jet pump works.
