Quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of the village. Industrial estate and parking behind. Very large room (junior suite) partly below ground level. Breakfast OK. Parking free of charge. Good location for a night's sleep when passing by.

Not much to dislike when just passing through. Why it is called a "Design hotel" I have no idea. No extravagant design elements anywhere.

Room was spacious, clean and modern. The bed was comfortable, I slept perfectly. In a very quiet location.

No one on reception to greet my arrival at around 6pm on Saturday and my room key was left on the reception desk along with a number of others. It would have been nice if someone was manning the desk however despite this their check in process was simple and I was able to get access to the property and my room quickly and with ease.

We were arriving late in the night with a young child and we had a very quick check-in. We had the extra child’s bed in our room at no extra cost. Great service

it is a little far a way from centrum of Dortmund and no restaurant in the city.

The location is in Heeren, so it is almost between Kamen and Unna (10-15 minutes by car to town centers). There are bus stops in a small distance, but to my point of view the car is needed. The location is very quiet so the quality of sleep was great. Beds were comfortable, two types of pillows. The room was big and nicely designed like all the hotel. The breakfast was great, fresh, good choice and nicely arranged. The reception stuff was very friendly and helpful. More than enough parking places around the hotel reception building. The breakfast is in the second building downstairs.

There was no room service because of the Covid restrictions, but the reception staff was ready to help with any question or need. If other quests are talking near the room entrance, it sounds a bit too loud, but guests were nice and polite. Though, it could be useful to make a "silence area" signs near to the rooms' doors.
