I stayed at this hotel recently and found it to be quite dated, with an old environment and no elevator, which was challenging since we were on the second floor. The TV didn’t work, and there was no air conditioning or soap/shampoo provided. However, it is in a very convenient location next to Dortmund Airport, making it a suitable option for a quick overnight stay before flying home. The hotel was clean, and considering the price I paid, it offered good value. The check-in process felt a bit impersonal, as there was no receptionist, and our key was left for us as instructed. It had a 'ghost hotel' vibe, but it served its purpose for a few hours.

Very practical place for an overnight stay, and Holzwickeder is a pleasant little town where we found a nice bakery by the park, for breakfast.

In our ground-floor room facing onto the street we couldn't open the windows fully to get fresh air, but still, through the small gap, we got woken by the sound and smell of smokers talking on their mobile phones right outside. So it was not a great night's sleep - but everything else about the hotel was very practical, and it's still good value for money.

If you have come across bad reviews of this hotel, it is for you that I am taking some time to write this review, and I hope it doesn't sound as if I work for them. I just think this hotel deserves justice. Before staying, I had read a couple of terrible reviews online, but as there were no other hotels available in the area, I ended up booking there, and I'm glad I did! Most complaints I had read revolved around: no English speaking staff; uncleanliness; loudness around the room. I came in not expecting much, but I was really, positively, surprised during my stay. As I arrived, there was a friendly man in the reception who spoke with me in good English. As I gave my name, he referred me to my room, which was surprisingly clean and comfortable. Bed sheets and towels all seemed to be fresh and the room was as quiet as it could be. To sum up: I had an amazing stay at this hotel at a very affordable price. I'm not sure sure why there are a couple of bad reviews there, but I would assume those are old and management has read through the comments and done a really good job in fixing whatever needed fixing. Overall an amazing experience to me

If one needs to be very picky, the only con was when leaving (around 7am) there was no one at the reception and no clear instruction what to do or if a check out was needed. I just left the key where all other keys were on the wall and left

- I had some difficulties with getting in the hotel and checking in, since my train got delayed and I arrived later. Couldn't really reach anyone via the phone. However, this was resolved promptly. Can't really think about any other shortcomings, given the room price

The hotel is well located within Holzwickede. It is only 200 metres from the train station and has a variety of restaurants, pubs and takeaways within 100 metres of it. Just around the corner is a bakery that provides breakfast rolls and coffee to either sit in or takeaway. There is free car parking at the rear of the hotel but I would suggest requesting a space as there are only 3 spaces. The hotel was very quiet and was perfect for our needs.

We had a twin room on the bottom floor which was perfect. On top of the beds is a small thin top mattress which has the sheet over it. It was constantly moving about the bed and on the second night it slid off the bed, with myself on it and I fell off the bed resulting in a small cut to my head.

This is a no frills room rental close to the Dortmund airport. It's more of a B&B type setup, rather than a hotel, except the Breakfast part of the Bed & Breakfast concept is missing. It was adequate for our needs, although it was not what you expect when you see the word "hotel" in the name.

Very nice location in a small neighbourhood really close to the airport, for early or late flights is super comfortable. The check-in is easy, they send you message with the number of your room and you can find your key by yourself in the lobby. The room is big enough with private bathroom, everything is clean and nice. There is everything that you need in the room and the place is quiet. The way to the airport is no more than 20 min walking.

The train to there is only until 9 or 10 in the evening, after that is hard to reach the place. The check-in is also limited until 10 pm. Not so much places to eat around, but still there is some choices.

A pleasant quiet very clean small hotel,room & bathroom was clean and a very comfortable bed.I like that it was also close by to a netto,Rossmans and a kebab shop. The hotel itself was cozy with a lovely sitting room with tv if you didn’t want to stay in your room. It’s a non smoking policy but they have a nice terrace for smokers to sit & relax. To get to the airport it’s a short walk to the train station and their is a shutttle service for 3 euros only takes 10mins to Dortmond airport.

It was just 400 meters from bahnof, totally loved this aspect. What I loved about stay is that they had a coffee maching which worked during nights too for small amount of money. They allowed me to keep my luggage for few hours after I checked out. And the employee there was so much considerate, she made attempt to send the rechnung to me multiple times for several days at a stretch, after I left. Because for some reason I was unable to receive their emails. I was deeply humbled with her gesture. She seemed super patient while bearing with my poor Deutsch language skill too.

What I didn't find comfortable is that when I arrived there and called the TM hotel employee to grant access to me, I couldn't understand what she was speaking because of my limitations in Deutch language. So I wished it was in English. But on a good note, some other person who was staying at TM hotel helped me get inside. Otherwise I would have left stranded outside.
