I came to Dakhla for kitesurfing and everything worked perfectly staying at Dunes de Dakhla. The hotel is located in the desert, but being one of the 6 hotels from Dakhla Hospitality Group there are free transfers between the hotel and Dakhla Attitude, which is the most recommended kitesurfing camp, also owned by the group. It’s quite magical to sleep in the desert, kite, and then get back to the hotel. The ride is around 20 minutes. lFor me the transfer in the morning was around 10 and the transfer back was super flexible based on my schedule. To take kiting lessons at Attitude you can simply show up (they are organized in packs of 2hrs with starting times at 09:00, 11:00, 14:00 and 16:00) and you’ll get assigned to an instructor based on your level (although you can prebook for 10% discount). Staying at les Dunes you arrive in time for the 11am start. The staff is extremely friendly, i was well taken care of by Mohamed and Mr Yousef, the hotel manager. Rooms are nice and well kept. some reviews mention that the water is sulfuric and smells - that’s true, but no harm in that. it’s water that comes from the ground Food is good and abundant (Italian speaking here, my opinion counts 😉) Overall, highly recommended combo as long as you’re fine with having a bit less flexibility as you’re not staying in the lagoon (thought it would bother me but in the end I really enjoyed this setup).

Meals are included, transport from downtown is included. Crazy value for money. The hotel manager Houcine is very very very helpful to fulfill my requests and give advice for my journeys. The chef gives very large portions of quality food for every meal. Ideal for a getaway. Will definitely return.

The hotel is surrounded by elevated dunes and rocky terrines, leading to no cellphone signals. Good internet reception in the lobby/restaurant, but poor reception in rooms. Windy at night and the rooftop can sound floppy.

Our week at Les Dunes de Dakhla was absolutely perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive(Houcine), making us feel right at home. Mr. Zakarya, our housekeeper, ensured that we had everything we needed, and the house was exceptionally clean. The food was amazing, and the staff who served it were incredibly friendly(Zakarya). We would definitely recommend this place and would definitely repeat it.

My stay at Dunes of Dakhla has been a complete disconnection and pleasure! It is beautiful set and far of all new constructions and roads in the area, transport can be arranged with no problems. The bungalows are simple & cozy, the lounge and food are amazing.  Youssef, Mohammed and his team simply make you feel at home and part of a little family! (..by the way, great music events happen 'to happen' and sun sets are wonderful) Choukran! Merci à la famille! Definitely coming back.

Amazing experience! The word "all inclusive" is an understatement for this place. The food was the most tasty food we had during our 3 weeks in Morocco. And in general one of the most delicious foods we ever had. The food was very varied and we always had new meals. The portions were huge. They had unlimited supply of wine and beer. The staff was amazing especially the bartender. He treated and cared for us like we were princesses :D They had a nice live band which played every day. They offered different tours which we took and they all were nice. The room was very nice and clean, and we had cleaning in our room every day. In general staying in a desert was amazing and unforgettable experience 😍 We had an amazing time 😍 You can also walk to the dunes nearby, approx 20-30 mins walk. Thank you for everything :)

Overall it's fine. Swimming pool access any time is great! Overarching tent on the sand dune is great especially with the piano. Sulfur thermal source water is good for the skin so it's a plus. Kids like the animals by the pond (geese, frogs) plus the cats and dog.

Food could have been better especially tea. It had a taste of stale coffee. An additional wifi extender close to the rooms would have been welcomed. An extra quad for at least two family members to ride would've been nice.

Stay in your own bungalow in the middle of a desert with all-in the price. (fully equipped room, full board - 3-4 courses). Transfer included as well - enjoy a desert rally with oldskool Toyota 4x4. ;) 5 minute walk from your space in the desert. If you need anything ask Abdoulaye your perfect guide. Amazing stay in nature with an amazing price and you do not need a sleeping bag... Thaanks.

Great experience, great staff, chef, waiters. They give you more food than you can possibly eat lol.

I have to say..they were uncommunicative after making my reservation and prior to arrival—I wanted to make sure the hotel shuttle would pick me up. It was late—stress! The other thing was telling me at the end of my 2-night stay that my room was more expensive than what the booking.com reservation was for! They cancelled it 2 minutes before bringing me to the office for the bill (booking. Com auto-sent an email to asking if I had stayed at the hotel or not…so I knew something was up). Seems that they cancelled it after my stay was completed to avoid paying booking their commission, which I don’t really care about—but don’t then charge me a higher rate lol! Because that triggers this kind of review guys.

If you want a total 'get away from it all' .... this is perfect. All the staff were great, truly wonderful customer service from all. And the food.... thank you Chef, everything was superb. You will never go hungry at the Dunes. Wonderful experience.

Going home One small thing to note, the location of the hotel on Google maps is about 5km out !!!!!

The location was special, in the middle of the dunes. very quiet Excellent food

The disadvantage is that you always need transport to go to the lagoon for kite surfing or to do another sport. But this is well organized by the hotel
